How about... this old story again. Prisoner is such a word isn't it? If they want to say Katie Holmes is unhappy in her marriage that is one thing. But prisoner!?

As Katie gets ready for her role on Broadway in All My Sons, Life and Style Weekly is claiming that Tom Cruise is tagging along not giving Katie time to herself. Um... what about Suri? Did they think that she would go to NY without her daughter? And while she is rehearsing and on stage, who would watch the little girl? Of course Tom has to come! 

“She loves her family, but she was looking forward to having a little space and independence,” says an insider close to the actress.

The source is also claiming that during their housewarming party, Katie couldn't force herself to put on a happy face.

These days, Katie’s having a harder and harder time putting on a happy face. At the couple’s housewarming party at their new LA mansion, Katie looked annoyed, says a witness — and the tension between her and Tom was obvious. Says the insider, “Katie tried to smile and have a good time, but she’s really upset with Tom these days.”

One of Hollywood's power couples is doing a temporary relocation to the East coast! Last May it was announced that Katie Holmes would star on Broadway in All My Sons. But the deal took a while to hash out because Katie wanted to make sure she kept Tom Cruise and Suri by her side...no long distance relationships for this girl! The producer of the show, Eric Falkenstein, said,

"It took time - about four months - to work out. There were family issues. She and Tom are committed to keeping the family together, so they have to get an apartment here."

He went on to add that he didn't choose Katie just because she's an A-lister.

"Katie's not really a celebrity type. She's done brilliant work in films like Pieces of April and The Ice Storm and is perfect for the role. (Her character is) a natural sweetheart who can sniff out phonies; Katie basically has that exact moral fibre."

 

I know people had been speculating that Tom wouldn't let Katie move to the Big Apple by herself. But, this sounds like a mutual decision.  What husband and wife wouldn't want to live together if at all possible?!?

What better way to make new friends than to throw a housewarming party? How fun! Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have decided to put together a small cocktail party (invite only) for their neighbors at their new Beverly Hills mansion. Their invitation read:

“Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise invite you to share an evening in their new home, Saturday, May 31, 8:30 p.m., at home, Beverly Hills.”

Looks like this weekend is the big soiree.

It's official! Katie Holmes has landed the lead role in All My Sons on Broadway. The initial plan has Katie on stage for 6 days a week and I might actually catch this one.

People Magazine says she is in final negotiations but that it's basically a go! Mrs. Cruise hasn't stepped foot on a stage since High School. Wonder if she's nervous.

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are a little bit nervous after claims that the Scientology cruise ship they were on for Tom's birthday had dangerous levels of blue abestos. The couple has been urged to seek medical care after experts were called in to test for abestos in the boat's panelling.

Another TomKitten might be on it's way soon :) Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are said to be thinking about trying for another kid. Katie is the one who is feeling the urge to have another little one because Suri is just growing up too fast!

"She said she's got the itch," said a friend close to the pair. "Now that Suri is more toddler than baby, she said she misses having an infant in the house. And, of course, she thinks Suri would make a great big sister."

And Tom is in total agreement,

"He said if Katie wants to make another baby, she doesn't have to ask twice," said the pal of the power couple. "He always wanted more. It was Katie who has been holding off. Until now."

I wonder if the second time around there would be less intrigue. Last time was so crazy with all these conspiracy theories flying around....was the baby Tom's, was Katie really pregnant...the rumors were absolute INSANE. Maybe since they've already done this once, a second pregnancy wouldn't create so much drama!

A smiling and happy Katie Holmes was photographed arriving at her hotel with her daughter Suri looking adorable as ever. Honestly I think Suri is one of the cutest babies in Hollywood and I love her little bare footsies. :) The pair obviously was in town for the fashion party of the year, but rumor has it Katie made it a business trip as well stopping over on Broadway for a secret meeting regarding a role in All My Sons.Bauer Griffin

Kate Bosworth, Katie Holmes, Beyonce, and Jennifer Lopez were just some of the celebrities that attended the 'Costume Institute Gala" held at the Metropolitian Museum of Art in NYC last night. Because there were SO MANY that attended I figured I'd break them up into groups. This being the fashion diva group and I'll leave it up to you to decide who looks the best.WENN

Katie Holmes has taken the tabloids' accusations as fighting words. Cover after cover screaming about her marriage being over has started to get to her.

"Katie wishes she didn't care about the gossip and rumors, but it is hard for her not to. She is such a sweet person and never has anything bad to say about anyone," a friend tells OK!. "She doesn't understand why some people are wishing problems on her and Tom."

So she's trying to deal with it in her own way.

"Her solution is to keep going about her life, business as usual. She'll keep a smile on her face when she's out in public with Tom and keep the hurt hidden at home."

Katie certainly has had a lot to deal with these days.  It can't be easy being married to one of the biggest super stars on the planet and living your life under a microscope.  Then to top it all off she has us all speculating about how long things will last.  I think any woman would struggle under those circumstances.
