Are Kelis And Nas Reconciling?
According to some reports, the new parents may be rekindling their relationship. Kelis and Nas reportedly were spotted kissing at a party on Monday night.
A source said: "Nas and Kelis were celebrating his birthday with some friends and you couldn’t tell they were divorcing to look at them. They seemed very intimate and were kissing and hugging and even left together."
The couple have remained tight-lipped over their possible reunion, but last week Kelis, 30, hinted at a newfound happiness.
She wrote on her Twitter page: "I'm in a great mood today down right giddy idunno why but its good!(sic)"
The ugliness of their split, and two-month-old son Knight, may be encouraging the couple to give things another try. Nas was ordered to pay Kelis $30,471 a month in spousal support and an additional $9, 027 in child support. Nas was also ordered by the court to pay $45,000 for Kelis' legal fees and for a forensic accountant.
Hopefully the couple will be able to figure out what works best for them and parent Knight together.

Kelis And Nas Have Named Their Son Knight
Kelis and Nas have named their son Knight.
The estranged couple – who are currently in the middle of a divorce – welcomed their first child into the world on Tuesday, with Nas posting a clip on video sharing website YouTube to announce the new arrival.
Nas said in the excerpt:
“My son is born today, so shout-out to my son, Knight.”
Kelis missed a New York court appearance relating to the divorce when she went into labor on Tuesday and it is believed Nas was not allowed to be present at the birth.
New reports suggest the 35-year-old rapper did attempt to visit Kelis in hospital, but was barred from entering as he was drunk. TMZ reports:
“After a performance in New York last night - where he told fans he was hammered on champagne - Nas tried to roll by Kelis' hospital room around 1am this morning. But we're told Nas was turned away because he was too wasted.”
Kelis filed for divorce in April citing “irreconcilable differences”.

Kelis Is Broke
First Kelis shocked us by filing for divorce from Nas while 7 months pregnant. Then Kelis hinted that the reason she's ending her seemingly happy marriage may be due to cheating. Now she's telling the court that she has "run out of money" and Nas is not providing any financial support.
My survival is based on [Nas'] will at this time. If he does not want to pay for an expense, it does not get paid."
Kelis is reportedly requesting that Nas pay her spousal support, child support, cover her pregnancy-related expenses, one-half of all medical expenses once their baby is born, $3,500 for a baby nurse, and $20,000 for strollers, cribs, and other baby supplies.
Laura Wasser, Kelis' attorney, says she has requested money from Nas to cover some of Kelis' expenses, but Nas has not responded.
It's sad; this is supposed to be a joyful occasion!

Did Nas cheat on Kelis? Is that the reason behind their big break-up WHILE she was several months pregnant? Yikes!!!!
She certainly hinted at it on her Twitter.
“This lovely day I would like to touch on cheaters. Super brief! Why
be cowardly, why not go after what you really want? Do people know what
they want? Probably not which goes into know and respecting ones self.
Also we can discuss w****s I mean the nasty sub par tricks that
participate in cheating. “Well let me say this, both parties that are
gross. And reality they deserve each other. All the scum bag coward
husbands and less than impressive sl*ts unite! You can all go down in
flames together! Hooray! (sic)”The 29-year-old singer went on
to specifically blast married men who are unfaithful, insisting there
is nothing wore than a husband who has an affair.She wrote:
“No seriously I have no patients for any of it but the problem is women
usually blame the women. I am here to say that the husband is way more
at fault, now of course the woman/women who partake are stupid and
pitiful. An honestly I will say its expected from younger girls 23 and
under. But after that I do think we as women need to take more
responsibility. Men are driven by something differently then we are and
that is generally stupidity, don't worry we still love you guys. We
just have to be smarter :) (sic)"
These two have always fascinated me. They seemed SO happy at first...even got married after just a year of dating. And now it's all gone up in flames for one reason or another. Lucky for them, they both fly enough under the gossip radar that we may never know the truth behind their marriage dissolving but fortunately Kelis has Twitter!!!

Kelis Files For Divorce From Nas
Just as I posted about how Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon making their relationship last, I found this sad news. Nas and Kelis are filing for divorce. They've been married since 2005 and she's currently 7 months pregnant. That's really awful. :(
Her rep states:
“I can confirm that she has filed for divorce… We request the media to respect her privacy during this very difficult time."
Laura Wasser (Britney's divorce attorny) filed the papers yesterday. Apparently Laura does EVERY celeb divorce case out there.
Kelis wants them to have joint legal and physical custody of the unborn baby. I wonder what happened to make them break up at this stage of the game.
