Back to the event - Halle was the host of the evening and has aligned herself with the organization because of her history with family domestic abuse. Growing up, the actress witnessed her mother being abused by her father. What a horrible thing to have to witness. It's nice to see Halle took the trauma and turned it into something positive.

Celebrities Attend New Super Mario Bros. Launch Party
The launch of New Super Mario Bros. Wii was this week and Julianne Moore, Kelly Rutherford and Kelly Bensimon were in attendance. Both Julianne and Kelly brought their kids and had a great time checking out the game and hanging with Mario himself.
Kelly Rutherford even commented that her son, Hermes was already showing a love for technology since he always reaches for her phone. She is looking forward to enjoying this game with him.
At one point, Kelly Bensimon and Mario even had a little bit of a dance off on the red carpet!

Kelly layered a menswear-inspired blazer over Ann Taylor's lightweight cashmere cardigan for added femininity to a more masculine look.

Kelly Rutherford Files Restraining Order Against Ex-Husband
Things are only getting worse for actress Kelly Rutherford as she battles her estranged husband Daniel Giersch in a custody battle for their two year old son Hermes and three month old daughter Helena. Kelly obtained a restraining order against Giersch on Thursday according to the Los Angeles Superior Courts Records.
Kelly told the press that her ex-husband "
Giersch's lawyer has called the claims "fabricated accusations". However the order will stay in effect for 21 days until they meet again in court on October 15.
I hope for the sake of their children they are able to work things out!

Kelly Rutherford Didn't Tell Daniel Giersch Of Birth
OMG!!!!!!! Now this I cannot believe. You'd think that no matter how much ill will between two people, a woman would want the father of her child at the birth, right?!? Not so, says Daniel Giersch. He found out about Kelly Rutherford's labor and successful delivery just like the rest of us -- online.
He says,
"Media reports claiming that I neglected to attend my daughter's birth
are total lies and fabrication," Giersch says in a statement. "I was
never informed by Kelly about the birth of our daughter, nor was I
invited to attend. In fact, I found out about it through Internet
reports like everyone else. Although this sickens me, I am of course
overjoyed that our baby was born healthy. I would've wanted nothing
more than to hold our newborn daughter for a few moments, and I only
seek to coparent both our children responsibly and with love."
Aaaaaaand she says,
The doctors advised that no one be in the birthing room; [Daniel] was
notified when [Helena] was born and was immediately invited to come see
her."
UGH. What a MESS.
PS. In case you're wondering, they named the little girl Helena. Wonder who picked the name. :)
