Hold onto your seats ladies because this rumor is getting me excited. Hey! If the X-Men can split up and each have individual movies made about them... why not the Sex and the City ladies?

RUMOR is that Kim Cattrall's character is set to STAR in the next Sex and the City movie after approaching producers with the idea that Samantha should take the lead! I'm getting giddy just writing about this. Samantha's back! We learned that towards the end of the movie. The options are limitless. 

If this is true, then Carrie and Big will be pushed off to the side probably living out a happy life in marital bliss while Samantha makes an attempt to get back on track. One co-star isn't rumored to be too happy with the decision... Sarah Jessica Parker.

"Sarah threatened to boycott the sequel if Warner Brothers agreed to Kim's plan. Sarah said she'd withdraw her producer credit and put pressure on Cynthia Nixon and Kirstin Davis to not participate."

If Sarah really doesn't want this to happen... odds are it won't.

"Sarah is in the driver's seat as far as having final say on the sequel and the storylines."

Only time will tell... or a rep confirmation. But I'm banking on time.

Kim Cattrall will be starring in a new sex-themed show by HBO called Sensitive Skin. She's also the executive producer. The show is about a middle aged wife who starts to resdiscover her sexuality.

She "begins to question her place in the world and the choices she has made in life."

Doing the show was part of the development deal in Kim's contract for agreeing to do the Sex and the City movie. It's based off of a similar BBC show. Do you think you'll watch? I'll definitely give it a try, but it will be hard for me to see Kim as anyone but Samantha!

The Sex and the City movie JUST premiered but Kim Cattrall is talking about a sequel already. I say...bring it on! You can never have too much SATC. :)

"It was a blast to make and I hope we get to come back and make another."

Kim also talked about how good it feels to be back.

"Last night, I got about three hours of sleep, but it’s also euphoria because it’s been so well received. The audience is so happy to see the girls back."

Chris Noth said a while back that he is anticipating one as well.

"I imagine if it made a lot of money, they'd want one. I don't know where Sarah stands on that,” he says. “It's sort of up to her. I'm just riding her coattails!"

I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

You know, I wonder if in their wildest dreams, any of the cast members even imagined how crazy successful they would be with this show?

"I feel fortunate that those aids are out there, but go easy on it. Less is more. I don't want to look 20, or even 30. I'm happy to look middle 40s for as long as I can."

 "I think in your 20s you don't know who you are, so there is a lot of experimentation. In your 30s you're sort of wondering where you're going, if you're going to be married by a certain age, and if you're going to have kids. The 40s decade is, 'OK, this is who I am, I've come to terms with it. I think what comes with age is a real acceptance of self."
