Kirstie Alley Close To Signing Deal For Reality TV Show
We first heard about Kirstie Alley's interest in doing a reality TV show last summer. It was supposed to focus on her weight loss. Now, it looks like Kirstie is close to signing a deal with A&E for a reality TV show with a slightly expanded focus.
This time out, the show comes as Alley prepares to launch a weight loss program. According to A&E, Alley is also "producing a feature film, patenting multiple inventions, working hard to raise two normal Hollywood teenagers, taking care of eight ringtail lemurs and, on top of everything, looking for love."
So this show will give us an intimate look at Kirstie's entire life.
"Kirstie is exactly the kind of star A&E is drawn to," said A&E nonfiction/alternative programming senior VP Robert Sharenow. "Her personal life has been playing out in the media for years, but this will be the first time she'll be opening up her home to reveal her real life for the cameras."
The ten episodes are scheduled to run in 2010. Are you looking forward to it? I'm curious to see Kirstie as a mom to teenagers and on a date! If anyone can make that entertaining, it's Kirstie :)

Kirstie Alley Lands Weight Loss Reality Show
I have to say... if someone knows how to make money off of her weight issues - it's Kirstie Alley. Comedy series ('Fat Actress'), sponsorship deals (Jennie Craig), Oprah appearances and now her very own reality show?! WOW!! I want to get Kirstie's marketing team to help out INO. LOL!!
The actress wants to lose weight again as she has gained an astonishing 85 pounds since she left Jennie Craig in February of 2008.
In order to keep her honest, Kirstie has signed on for a new reality show focusing on her weight loss and the struggles behind the climb.
The show will “have lots of emotion and show her struggle to lose the weight,” reports Life & Style. Should the show go forward, success isn’t necessarily a guarantee, based on Alley’s fan base.
The magazine quotes an insider as saying, “A show like ‘The Biggest Loser’ has a huge following built in, but I don’t know if Kirstie has that fan base right now.”

Who Attended Tom Cruise's House Warming Party?
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes had a house warming party at their new Beverly Hills mansion and invited new neighbors and old friends. Oprah, Jennifer Lopez, Victoria Beckham, Rita Wilson, Eva Longoria, Brooke Shields, and Jeremy Piven were among the crowd. Wonder if non celeb guests were star struck at all? That is quite a party to get the invite for.
Over 50 staff members from the exclusive Wolfgang Puck company catered the event. Sounds like fun!

Kirstie Alley Hopes To Change America
Kirstie Alley is in the process of creating her own diet loss program as she was inspired by her time with Jenny Craig. Wow - that's quite a venture isn't it? I guess she looked at what Jenny Craig (which I LOVE) had to offer and felt a few tweaks could make the program better. The last three years have been a win-win for all involved, especially all those other Jenny clients who took the journey alongside me. Just having them there with me was an inspiration and a motivation to continue. Thank you to all of you from the bottom of my heart.
On how people look to her for inspiration:
Somehow, I've also fallen into the position of "accidental" role model for, apparently, millions of people out there losing weight by whatever means. This was something I did not bargain for, or foresee happening. Nevertheless, it is something I've grown to embrace and something I intend to continue to pursue.
On creating something new:
The weight-loss field is wide open and not immune to new ideas and improved solutions for the fat problems that plague many of us Americans every day. I want to create something new that will help millions of people end the seemingly never ending fatty-roller coaster ride. I am especially passionate about seeing to it that our next generations are not struggling with the same weight issues that my generation has struggled with.
Kirstie's new program will release in 2009. I am assuming this is giving her enough time to take advantage of it.

Kirstie Alley Gets Some Help With Jenny Craig Diet
I have a confession to make... I just joined up with Jenny Craig on Thursday! I tried to do Weight Watchers - but the point counting is a bit hard on 3 hours of sleep (thanks Liam) and two kids to take care of. Sooooo I joined and am loving the program so far. The food is pretty good and it can't get easier. It LITERALLY can't be any easier - you go once a week and they give you your food. Then you pick up some fruits and veggies to add to the meals. Mindless... just how I like it.Kirstie Alley was spotted taking home some weight loss shakes that aren't on the plan. Whatever it takes right?
