The ladies from Sex and the City were under a lot of pressure releasing the movie. And now the N.Y. Post is reporting that seeing themselves on the big screen may have driven Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis to get plastic surgery.
Apparently, soon after the movie's release, they both paid a visit to Roosevelt Hospital on 10th Avenue for minor surgeries. "Cynthia had a breast augmentation and soon after, Kristin had the varicose veins on her legs removed," said an insider. "They both made sure they did it on the quietest day of the week."
I have such an image of both these ladies as being very confident and not caring much about what other people think of them that it's hard for me to wrap my mind around them getting surgery because they didn't like the way looked on screen. If the plastic surgery rumors are true, I hope they did it for themselves and nobody else!

Oh boy! Another celebrity is working on their very own clothing line. This time it's Sex and the City's very own Kristin Davis. She is teaming up with Belk to come out with The Kristin Davis Collection and it promises to be "modern, feminine and style-savvy". The line will include both casual and evening wear, as well as shoes, handbags and jewelery.
Kristin is a great fit for Belk. She grew up shopping in our stores and is in tune with the fashion sensibility of our customer base. We think they’ll love the modern fashion looks of the Kristin Davis brand. It’s designed to capture Kristin’s look and personality and to provide cutting-edge fashion assortments that customers won’t find in any other store."

You forget how the industry treats older women. We aren't privy to those casting conversations and probably take more things than not for granted. Once Kristin Davis left Sex and the City, she was forced to take mommy roles as that is what the industry offered. When she was offered the SATC movie, she jumped at the chance!
"They (were) mom roles. There’s not a huge amount of choice for women my age, so it’s not that easy. I had whole scenes in Deck The Halls where I had no lines. I had whole days on Shaggy Dog where my only line was: ‘Shaggy?’ "I’d email my manager saying: ‘You have to come over here. I’m losing my mind.’ If I had to do that forever, I’d simply quit acting and work for charity. "So when we came back to do this movie, I was like: ‘Thank God, something to do!’"
Speaking of Kristin doing mommy roles, does anyone watch Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Kids on Noggin? Kristin is the voice of the mom spider. I looked it up one day because I thought her voice was so soothing and had to know who played the main character.

"He (King) tried to get me to be naked in that shower scene but I feel like I can't do that stuff. I feel really panicky about that stuff."

Cynthia Nixon: It was wild. My first day was the second or third day of filming, when all four of us were working for the first time. We were back in these outfits and these heels again. We'd been away from it, and now there were 200 people and photographers on the street watching, which was very new for us. We had to re-learn how to walk down the street and walk in unison and not teeter over in our heels, but it kind of felt great. What it felt like was a four-headed eight-legged organism.
Kristin Davis: Cynthia said, 'It's like almost going back to high school, yet not.' There's an intense familiarity between us, and we are in many ways like sisters. We finish each others' sentences and we were never separated from each other. People kept asking, 'How is it to be back together?' But we were never separated, we just had to go back to being our characters which was a very surreal.
Kim Cattrall: It was so easy. God, it was so fabulous and fun. The most difficult thing was the first day, there were so many crowds on the street and they were screaming and yelling and I just was really kind of...It kind of broke my concentration. I was overwhelmed, as I think all of us were, because I didn't know what to expect and there's someone screaming in the middle of a scene, 'I love you Samantha!' or 'Carrie, I'm over here!' We had never really dealt with that. But we were kind of asking for it, shooting on Park Avenue in September, in the late afternoon, while the city was packed.
Kristin Davis: The cacophony and insanity...It was shocking, mainly because of the paparazzi now. That whole thing has escalated since we did the pilot in '97. Like, a few years ago when Sarah was pregnant and they started trailing her 24/7, it was frightening and strange. And now that's common. My first day shooting was with Chris Noth and there were maybe 10 paparazzi video cameras on us all day, all the time - while we were acting, and while we weren't. As we were filming the scene! I was like, 'Aren't they getting the dialogue?' You want the scene to be a surprise when they see it. We'd had the paparazzi before, but not the video before. It was weird having video cameras in your face all the time. That was new.
