In another interview, Madonna spoke out defending Britney Spears and some of her erratic behavior from this past year. Madonna is someone who knows what it’s like to live life totally in the spotlight and she says it’s hard to grow up that way.

“She didn’t get to grow up and make mistakes privately… she’s been under a microscope since she was a teenager, which I think is really tough, it’s hard to evolve that way.”

Madonna also talked about what it was like making music with Justin Timberlake. I can’t believe she was intimidated..I mean, she’s Madonna!!!

“It’s a little bit awkward. You don’t really know them and you feel a little bit nervous and intimidated…Justin admitted to me the other day that he felt the same way. When you write music you’re really exposing something about yourself and if you don’t know somebody you feel a little bit embarrassed.”

Madonna sat down for a one on one with Ann Curry on the Today Show. I wanted to post this to a) let Madonna fans get to see it in case they missed it and b) check out if Red Lasso is still messing up people’s connections. I am sitting here at PodCamp in Brooklyn and just spoke with the RedLasso guys who promise that all bugs are now fixed. Here’s Madonna at the premiere of, “I Am Because We Are” at the Tribeca Film Festival. She is the executive producer of the movie so I know she has to be very proud and wanted to wear something special. Having said that, what do you think of Madonna’s paisley hippy like dress and boots?

Madonna recently sat down with NY Mag and talked about charity work, Tom Cruise and her new movie. You have to give it to her. She’s been a main part of pop culture for over 20 years!

On if she would “make it” in New York in 2008:
” I think it would be almost impossible. Record companies are pretty much defunct.”

On celebrities getting flak for charity work:
“It’s not just celebrities. I think people are just strangely suspicious of people who want to do something good.”

On sympathizing with Tom Cruise:
“I don’t care if people worship turtles or frogs—if they’re good people, that’s all I care about, and he is a good person. I think he gets a raw deal, just as I think the orphans in Malawi get a raw deal, just as I think a lot of marginalized people get a raw deal.”

On being more excited about her new film than her new album:
“Yeah, actually. I have a record to promote and that’s great, but I loved going to the Berlin Film Festival—it was the first time in my career that no one asked me a personal question. When you’re a pop star, everyone feels entitled to know what color your underpants are.”

The potential future President of the United States of America said it would be an honor if there was truth to the rumor that she is distant cousins of Angelina Jolie and Madonna. When asked by Access Hollywood, Hilary Clinton called both ladies “strong independent women”.

“I have no idea whether there is any truth to it or not, but they’re both strong independent women. They also have been very quick to give back to charities and humanitarian causes, so it would be an honor to be related to them.”

I was at the park the other day with my kids and there was a father there with three children by himself. He was literally running back and forth between the baby swings and the regular ones to give a push to all of his different aged children. I told him he was my hero. Madonna is my new hero. She went out to eat with her three kids sans Guy Ritchie. I guess they are a bit older and can be managed easier than a 2 year old and 9 month old.

When I was younger, I used to beg my mother to purchase the Pay Per View shows for New Kids on the Block and WWF matches (randon I know — I had a thing for the Warrior). Well this is sort of the same thing, except it’s FREE and it’s on the Internet. US viewers can watch Madonna in concert for free on Msn.com as she performs one show at NY’s Roseland Ballroom on April 30th.

Everyone else can catch the show when they rebroadcast it on May 15th. If you live in the area and want to catch the show at Roseland, tickets will NOT be pre-sold. But Verizon customers can compete for a ton of spots and everyone else just has to line up for a first come basis distribution.

The concert will mark the first time Madonna has performed songs from her hotly anticipated new album Hard Candy, which is released on April 29.
