Madonna Starts Brazilian Children’s Charity
Madonna is setting up a new Brazilian children’s charity.
The ‘Celebration’ singer met with wealthy business people and politicians during her recent five-day trip to the South American country and managed to secure a $7 million donation for Success for Kids from Brazil’s richest man, Eike Batista.
Madonna was invited to the father-of-two's estate on the island of Angra Dos Reis on Saturday to discuss the project after Batista agreed to fund a large proportion of her latest charitable venture.
During dinner, Batista - who has an estimated $7.5 billion fortune – offered to give Madonna $7 million after asking how much more she needed to set up her charity's initial projects, leaving the pop superstar in tears.
At the meal, Madonna declared her love for the country, saying: “I worship Brazil.”
During her trip to Brazil, Madonna was accompanied by her rabbi.
What a wonderful thing to do for this country! It's so nice to see Madonna continuing her charitable efforts.

Madonna And Jesus Luz Out To Dinner
Madonna and Jesus Luz were seen going to dinner at a Japanese restaurant in Rio de Janeiro. The couple is rumored to be in town so Madonna can meet her future in-laws. Yes, an engagement rumor is buzzing around the net. Time will tell.
Unfortunately for Madonna, no matter where she goes there will be a crowd of photographers waiting for her. She doesn't look too thrilled to be in the middle of the mess.

Fact Or Fiction: Madonna And Jesus Luz Are Getting Engaged
Madonna is “on edge” about meeting her boyfriend’s parents. The ‘Celebration’ singer is set to fly to Brazil to meet her 23-year-old boyfriend Jesus Luz’s mother Cristiane Regina da Silva and his father Luis Heitor Pinto da Luz, for the first time. A friend of model Jesus says it might even mean the couple is planning on getting engaged:
“She is slightly on edge. But an engagement could be on the cards.”
Jesus – who has been dating the pop star since late last year – is desperate to be “taken seriously”, get married and secure their relationship.
"Madonna really does love and need Jesus - and she does not hold all the power in their relationship. He grew up with strong Christian beliefs.
"He wants to marry and be taken seriously. She doesn't want to lose Jesus and so the visit to his parents is her way of saying she will make this relationship permanent.
"He wants proof of commitment and he wants her to make an honest man of him."
The meetings proves the pair have put their recent disagreement behind them.
The couple reportedly rowed after Madonna – who has children Lourdes, 12, Rocco, nine, David Banda and Mercy, both four - said she would rather be “run over by a train” than marry again following her split from movie director Guy Ritchie, with the model begging his 51-year-old love to rethink her vow.
According to the singer’s biographer Randy Taraborrelli, she has already had a change of heart.
Madonna is telling close friends and family that 'I definitely see myself marrying him. It's on the table'."
If the nuptials go ahead, this will be Madonna’s third wedding. She was also wed to actor Sean Penn between 1985 and 1989.

Madonna Is Ready To Give The Movies Another Shot
Madonna wants to relaunch her movie career. The ‘4 Minutes’ singer (who hasn't had the best of luck in the theatre) is working on a script for a new film, but doesn’t plan to star in it.
She is quoted by gossip website Absolute Now as saying:
“I just finished writing a script and I am trying to get funding and casting for it, believe it or not.
“It’s called ‘We’ and it’s a love story. It is two parallel love stories told from a woman’s point of view, obviously. One is a historical story that took place with the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. And the other is one I made up about a couple in New York.”
Sounds interesting. I'm a sucker for period films. Do you think Madonna will give herself a cameo? Or has she learned her lesson?

Madonna Planting A Miracle Tree
Madonna and Lourdes were in Lilongwe, Malawi to break ground on a new girls' academy she is building there. The academy is being called a "gift" to the country where she adopted 2 of her children. It's said that the school will be modeled after Oprah's academy in South Africa.
"The school will help girls from vulnerable backgrounds to move forward. They will use the principles of spirituality for kids," said the singer
"The logical project was to build a school that will create future women leaders, doctors and surgeons," Madonna said.
Madonna planted a Moringa tree, also known as the "miracle tree" for its cure of many diseases, at the construction site. The academy is expected to start in 2012.
I could use a miracle tree in my yard - if it would sprout money. LOL! On a serious note, that's a wonderful gift she's given to the young girls in that community. It's so great for Lourdes to see her mom doing these amazing things for others.
