Mandy Moore looked pretty hipster chic as she caught a departing flight from LAX yesterday. I rather like this look on Mandy and could even see myself wearing it. 

I'm curious do any of you have a "go to" flight outfit... Something you prefer wearing on a 5+ hour flight?

Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams are officially over. Ok! Magazine is reporting that the couple has called it quits. Ryan even gave a statement to the rag saying what a lovely woman she really is.

 

"Mandy is one of those genuinely sweet angelic people you wish to meet your whole life," Ryan tells OK! in a statement. "I am grateful for our friendship and how it allowed us both to grow and learn more."

So why did they break up? The media played a big part of it. 

"Unfortunately I am allergic to paparazzi and have found the best antidote to that sort of nonsense is staying behind the guitar and typewriter, staying close to my support group of friends and band mates and not engaging in activities that prevent me from taking care of myself or others," he says. "I found the entire speculation and subsequent photographs and intrusions terrifying and only wish to live as normal a life as possible, so that I might always remain punk as f*** AND sober."

He continues, "Also, I just want to jam. Plus I like metal A LOT."

Mandy Moore and her close friend Ryan Adams were spotted holding hands while walking in the West Village yesterday. I enjoy Mandy as an actress so I checked out her IMDb file to see if she has anything coming up, but it's empty. I guess Mandy is enjoying a little time off and considering how busy she usually is, I don't blame her.

Both Hilary Duff and Mandy Moore arrived to the CFDA Fashion Awards looking stunning in classic cut dresses, although Hilary went for a more eye popping purple. I adore both of these ladies and I love that they've managed to make it in Hollywood without going the crazy club hopping way. What do you think of their dresses and which do you find more flattering?

Mandy Moore headed down under to do a performance for the Beautiful Girls Ladies Fashion Lunch in Melbourne.  Mandy mentioned on her Myspace that she is going to finish up touring on that side of the world and then head home to start working on some movies projects she has waiting.  I can't wait!  I know Mandy has had a few stinkers, but A Walk to Remember was SO good!
