Fact Or Fiction: Marilyn Manson And Evan Rachel Wood Engaged
About a month ago Marilyn Manson shared that he and Evan Rachel Wood had gotten back together. Now, PopEater is reporting that the two are set to marry.
Reportedly, during a concert in Paris last night, Marilyn popped the question while on stage and Evan said yes.
If it's true, that was a pretty great birthday gift - Marilyn turned 41 yesterday.
2010 is shaping up to be the year of engagements, right?

Evan Rachel Wood Reunites With Marilyn Manson
Shock rocker Marilyn Manson revealed that he and former love, Evan Rachel Wood, have gotten back together! He was speaking with UK magazine "Metal Hammer", and they asked him this:
MH: You’ve been to the pits of despair and back, how does one pick ones self up and get inspired and motivated after such an identity crisis?
"I think I’m not afraid to be me. Sometimes [it] happens when you get to this point in your career, and there are so many things that have happened and influences that you’ve had, besides the influences of the things that have inspired you. Sometimes you feel awkward being what you’re best at, you feel like you have to be something new. But I think that a lot of people will agree that me being me at my best [is what] I need to be. I think that that really paid off because I’m back with Evan, that’s kind of breaking news, you can be the first one to say that.”
Wow, wonder if he wore her down by calling 200 times a day instead of just 158. Remember this interview? I really hope the two are in a good place now. Sometimes a little break is all it takes to make people realize how much they appreciate the other person.
I guess those rumors of her and True Blood co-star Alexander Skarsgard weren't true? Or maybe they are already over? Who can keep up with the rumor mill?

Marilyn Manson Has Swine Flu
Marilyn Manson has swine flu. The ‘We’re From America’ rocker has been officially diagnosed with the H1N1 virus, although he does not have a life-threatening case and is expected to make a speedy recovery.
Joking about his diagnosis on his MySpace Celebrity blog, he wrote:
“So I have officially been diagnosed, by a real doctor, with THE SWINE FLU. I know everyone will suggest that f***ing a pig is how this disease was obtained.
“However, the doctor said my past choices in women have in no way contributed to me acquiring this mysterious sickness. Unfortunately, I am going to survive. M [sic]”
He's joking, but thank goodness the doctors aren't that concerned.
Manson isn't the only celebrity to have been diagnosed with the potentially fatal disease, which originated in Mexico and has the symptoms of a heavy cold.
‘Harry Potter' actor Rupert Grint - who plays Ron Weasley in the hit wizard film franchise - thought he was going to die when he contracted the highly contagious disease.
"It was quite scary when I first found out I had swine flu. I thought, 'Am I going to die?' But it was just like any other flu really. I had a sore throat and I went to bed for a few days."

Emma Watson And Marilyn Manson Team Up For New Movie
Well, this should be exciting to say the least.
Emma Watson is teaming up with Marilyn Manson for a new film.
The ‘Harry Potter’ actress is reportedly set to star as a princess in a gothic musical reworking of ‘Cinderella’, which is currently being written by the outrageous rocker.
“Emma really wants to show there’s more to her talents than playing Hermione Granger. She’s saw how Daniel Radcliffe managed to branch out into something completely different when he starred in ‘Equus’ and thinks this could do the same for her – after all, who’d guess she’s want to team with Marilyn Manson, of all people.”
No rep confirmation as of yet, but this story definitely has me interested in the project. Hopefully it will happen!

Marilyn Manson Admits To Lowest Point
Marilyn Manson phoned Evan Rachel Wood 158 times in one day after they split.
The goth rocker struggled to cope when Evan called off their almost two-year romance last year, and has revealed he was so depressed over Christmas he resorted to self harm.
He explained to Spin magazine:
"My lowest point was Christmas Day 2008, because I didn't speak to my family. My walls were covered in scrawlings of the lyrics and cocaine bags nailed to the wall. And I did have an experience where I was struggling to deal with being alone and being forsaken and being betrayed by putting your trust in one person, and making the mistake of that being the wrong person.
"I made the mistake of trying to, desperately, grasp on and save that and own it. And every time I called her that day - I called 158 times - I took a razorblade and I cut myself on my face or on my hands."
Oh my goodness!!
The 40-year-old musician revealed his new album 'The High End Of Low' is about the break-up, adding hurting himself was his way of showing Evan, 21, how much she had hurt him.
"This was intentional, this was a scarification. I wanted to show her the pain she put me through. It was like, 'I want you to physically see what you've done.'
"That damage is part of the record, and the song 'I Want to Kill You Like They Do in The Movies' is about my fantasies. I have fantasies every day about smashing her skull in with a sledgehammer.
"'Devour' is about when someone said to me, 'OK, I want to be with you until I die.' And then they gave up. I was at the point in my life where I was like, 'OK, let's die, but I tell you what, I'm going to kill you first, because I don't trust you.' "

Marilyn Manson Once Paid For His Father's Lap Dance
I'm writing this - but I don't really find it so shocking. I mean, this is Marilyn Manson we are talking about. Is this really the most outrageous thing we've heard about him doing? I don't think so.
But the man has a book to promote ('The High End Of Low'), so I will play along.
Marilyn Manson paid for his dad to have a lap dance.
The controversial rocker says his parents are fully supportive of his career and they have such a close relationship he even has raunchy nights out with his father.
“My dad loves what I do and I support my parents financially because they didn’t have a job that gave them a pension. It’s a pretty good relationship although it can be hard to understand how to relate to your parents.
“I did pay for a lap dance for my father once at the Crazy Horse bar in Fort Lauderdale. But I had to look away. I averted my gaze.”
The ‘Beautiful People’ singer – who is rumored to drink shots of potent alcoholic spirit absinthe for breakfast – also revealed he attended meetings with support group Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) but realized he doesn’t have a problem with drinking because it hasn’t ruined his life.
He added in an interview with Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper:
“I went to one AA meeting and I got asked for an autograph. I got p***ed off. I think you should be able to go in there wearing a mask and say, ‘I’m an alcoholic, I’m anonymous’. That’s a real alcoholic.
“They told me the definition of an alcoholic is someone who drinks, screws up their life and knows it, but continues doing it. Well, I screwed up my life before I drank.”
