The Ladies Of 'Nine' Dish To Vogue

Have you heard about the musical 'Nine'? It has quite the cast, including: Daniel Day Lewis, Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson, Marion Cotillard, and Penelope Cruz. They talked to Vogue for the November issue (although the movie's release date was recently moved to Christmas Day).
Daniel's character, Guido, is the main character of 'Nine,' which is about a director who is searching for the perfect lead in his movie while trying to control the women in his life. The actresses were the ones interviewed by Vogue. Here are some snippets from the interview:
Nicole talked about acting:
"I had no desire to work after I had my daughter, but to lure me back, this movie was the only way."
Marion on doing musicals:
"It's been my dream to do an American musical. When I was a child, Annie was my favorite. I just never thought I would get to do it."
Penelope on balancing work and everything else in her life:
"I've been working since the age of seventeen, and I really haven't stopped. I want to balance it a little more. Instead of making three or four movies a year, I will do one."
And Kate on singing and dancing:
"I spent most of my childhood singing and dancing and just never had the chance to do it professionally. So when I got the chance to work with Rob [Marshall, the director], I was so excited, I was out of my mind."
This is quite a cast! Are you looking forward to this film?

Leonardo DiCaprio Is At Work On 'Inception'

The vacation (pictured) is over for Leonardo DiCaprio. After going on a Mediterranean cruise with friends, Leo was spotted at work on the set of his new movie 'Inception' earlier today in Paris. He was shooting a scene with co-star Ellen Page ('Juno') on a bridge at the Seine.
[R]eports have described Inception as a contemporary sci-fi action thriller set within "the architecture of the mind."
Monday's scene on the closed set utilized two giant mirrors, each the
size of a storefront and slowly rotating and reflecting each other. The
leading man – dressed in a grey-green Armani jacket, black trousers and
looking very tanned and blond – stood between them, creating a
funhouse-mirror effect of a thousand reflections before the mirrors
pulled away to reveal him walking the bridge with Ellen Page amid a sea
of extras. An argument develops between them and Page turns violent,
shoving him, knocking him down. What followed were shots of the extras,
standing as still as statues, as though they were frozen in time."
Hmmm... unusual but quite a cast. Co-star Marion Cottillard was spotted arriving on set just as Leo and Ellen were finishing up.
Does this sound like something worth trekking out to the theater for, a renter, or one Leo film you may skip?

Johnny Depp Wishes He Could Take His Children To Disneyland

Awwww... this is just sad. :)
Johnny Depp dreams of visiting Disneyland.
The Hollywood actor - who has a 10-year-old daughter Lily-Rose and son Jack,
seven, with partner Vanessa Paradis - would take his kids to the famous
theme park if he wasn’t famous.
“I would walk through Disneyland with my kids. That’s what I’d do
for the day.
“I would go on every ride and I would walk through Disneyland with my kids
and let them experience all the things most kids do. They don’t get to do
those things with daddy.“When daddy walks through Disneyland with them, things get weird.”
Johnny had to miss out on Lily Rose and Jack’s visit to Disneyland last
year.
French singer Vanessa took the children to the California-based theme park,
which features a wax figure of Johnny as pirate Captain Jack Sparrow.
The 46-year-old actor has made no secret of his struggle to cope with being
famous.
Johnny - who rose to fame in 1984's 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' - prefers to
keep out of the public spotlight and spend time with his family.
He said:
"I can't think of myself in terms of celebrity. It's just too
weird. If the choice is between being gawked at and sitting in a chair in a
dark room, I prefer the dark room."
Too bad he can't at least rent an evening out so he can go with his children. I am sure Disney would do something like this for Johnny!!
Johnny Depp And Marion Cotillard Would Use French To Talk About Public Enemies Crew

Johnny Depp gossiped about his ‘Public Enemies’ co-stars in French.
The 46-year-old actor has revealed he and French beauty Marion Cotillard
would speak to each other in the European language so cast and crew members
would not know what they were talking about.
“We would sometimes speak French to each other on the set,
especially when we didn’t want anyone else to know what we were saying!”
However, the 33-year-old actress quickly grew tired of speaking in her
native language because she felt it was affecting her acting.
“Johnny’s French is excellent. But I could not let myself lapse
into speaking a lot of pure French with Johnny. I was working so hard to
really perfect the accent of my character Billie Frechette, and that was not
easy. She was of mixed heritage – both French and Native American – and
supposedly had an accent that was quite different.”
Johnny – who lives in the South of France with his long-term partner Vanessa
Paradis and their two children, 10-year-old Lily-Rose and Jack, seven –
praised his co-star for her acting skills and can understand why his
character was attracted to Billie.
“Marion really worked hard on that accent, and I think the way she
speaks in the film adds so much to the personality of the character she
plays. You can see why Dillinger fell in love with her so easily.”
Although Johnny and Marion were happy to gossip off-screen, their co-star
Christian Bale admits he was more reclusive.
