Martha Stewart Knocks Rachael Ray's Abilities

Martha Stewart Knocks Rachael Ray's Abilities

Martha Stewart filmed an interview for an upcoming episode of Nightline to talk about rebuilding her brand. Martha had some pretty harsh things to say about Rachael Ray. She goes after Ray's inability to bake and also makes a dig about Rachael's new cookbook.

"Well, to me, she professed that she could -- cannot bake," Stewart says of Ray in the interview, airing Thursday. "She -- just did a new cookbook which is just a re-edit of a lot of her old recipes. She -- and that's not good enough for me."

Ouch. She goes on to pretty much say that hers will be superior:

Stewart says she want to publish something that "is a unique and lasting thing. Something that will really fulfill a need in someone's library." Ray, she says, "is different."

Martha then says that Rachael is more entertainment than teaching:

"more of an entertainer ... with her bubbly personality, than she is a teacher, like me. That's not what she's professing to be."

Rachael took the high road and had this to say about Martha's digs:

"Why would it make me mad?" Ray asks. "Her skill set is far beyond mine. That's simply the reality of it."

"that doesn't mean that what I do isn't important too... I don't consider it needling. I really just think she's being honest. She does have a better skill set than I do when it comes to producing a beautiful, perfect, high-quality meal." Says Ray, "I'd rather eat Martha's than mine, too."

I give Rachael credit for not slinging any mud back at her. Do you think you understand what Martha is trying to convey, but think it's coming out a bit wrong? Or do you think she's just being snarky?

Rachael Ray And Martha Stewart Together On Television

Rachael Ray And Martha Stewart Together On Television

Martha Stewart and Rachael Ray will make television history by sharing the same kitchen on the RACHAEL RAY show. On November 12th, Martha and Rachael will shatter rumors about their rift, chat about Martha’s surprise favorite type of music, and learn why her daughter is really a vegan. Plus, tune-in to see if the domestic diva can finally help Rachael craft!

On Martha Using her Expertise in the Grocery Store:

In the grocery store, if someone’s picking up the wrong pineapple, I will not hesitate to tell them that it is the wrong pineapple. I would be pretty pissed if I got home with a pineapple that’s unripe. If they don’t know, I’m going to tell them how to pick a ripe one! I figure that they better learn!

On Martha’s Love for Rap Music:

Oh I like rap! I like rap, we play rap. When you come to the show, you’ll see. You’ll see! Oh yeah. Rap is fabulous, and it’s the liveliest thing for the audience… Rap is big!

On Why Martha’s Daughter is a Vegan:

Well what I think one of the catalysts was, we raised our own livestock and we had these sweet little lambs. And one day I decided Plantagenet was gonna go, and so I served Plantagenet for dinner, and I told my husband and my daughter that the rare pork chops were cooked perfectly in the French style. And Alexis looked at me and said this is not pork this is Plantagenet isn’t it? That was one reason.

Can you IMAGINE shopping for fruit and having Martha come up and correct you? That would be awesome! LOL!!

Planning on tuning in?

Ford's Warriors In Pink Teams Up With Martha Stewart To Raise Breast Cancer Awareness

Ford's Warriors In Pink Teams Up With Martha Stewart To Raise Breast Cancer Awareness

During a special taping of 'The Martha Stewart Show', which will air on Friday, October 16 (nationally syndicated, check local listings), daytime host Martha Stewart was joined by an audience full of survivors and supporters, as well as Ford Warriors in Pink to raise breast cancer awareness.

I was invited to attend alongside several NYC bloggers (Prime Time Parent, Skimbaco, Chapman Parenting, and Quirky Fusion) by Ford to help promote the episode.

One audience member had a chance to win a brand new 2010 Ford Taurus during the taping! Who won? Her name was Stephanie Adams and she was diagnosed with breast cancer at 27!!! I got goosebumps when I heard her story. She was absolutely shocked and really couldn't process that she was walking away with such a prize.

To support Breast Cancer Awareness, Ford's Warriors in Pink has developed a line of goods they sell in which 100% of all proceeds go towards funding Susan G. Komen for the Cure. This isn't just in October - it's all year long. The apparel and accessories feature important symbols signifying the message of hope, strength and unity in the commitment to the fight against breast cancer.

This year, they introduced the 'Warriors in Pink stamp kit' which was inspired by the team of crafting experts at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.

This crafting tool provides Warriors with a creative way to show their support for the fight against breast cancer. Each stamp features one of Ford’s “Symbols of a Warrior,” evoking themes of peace, healing and strength in the battle against breast cancer. Because personal connections to breast cancer are varied, every symbol represents a distinct message of power that is personalized for every Warrior’s journey.

You can use them to make stationery, gift wrap, tags and more. Shopping for a cause is the best way to shop, right?

Martha Stewart Apologizes To Jessica Simpson About Dog Comment

Martha Stewart Apologizes To Jessica Simpson About Dog Comment

When Martha Stewart found out about Jessica Simpson losing her dog to a coyote, she said that the singer should have been more careful.

"It's pretty sad. She should have watched it more closely, though. She should have been more careful."

"Get another dog. I think it's very important to get another dog, someone else to love. You just have to find the dog that's the right match for you."

Now that it's pretty clear that Daisy is not returning to her owner, Martha wanted to apologize for her insensitivity. She also to squash any feud rumors.

"I said that she should have been watching her dog more closely, but I feel very, very sorry for anybody that loses a pet," she said Thursday. "Jessica, I hope you find your pet, but if you don't, I'm really sorry that you lost one."

I still feel terribly for Jessica, but I am sure work is keeping her busy. Do you think she will get another dog?

Love It Or Hate It: Christina Aguilera And Rose McGowan

Celebrities came out last night to attend the launch of 'beautyLIGHT' by Matthew Rolston. Two of below ladies are doing something that is worthy of a Love it or Hate it.

Christina Aguilera is still continuing to rock the bangs look (while most of you insist it is a wig). This time, instead of having her hair pin straight, she curled them up a bit showing off a new look.

Rose McGowan is known for wearing those over-sized geek style glasses while running errands around town. But what do you think about the actress wearing them to the launch? The event was held at the Wallis Anneberg Cultural Center in Beverly Hills and was industry filled. Should she have thrown some contacts in? Or are those glasses too stylish to pass up?

Don't forget to look at her outfit too...

While they are not part of the LIOHI, both Martha Stewart and Emmy Rossum also attended the event. Emmy went pale with her make up and I think it really looks great while Martha was photographed arriving in what looks to be brown velvet pants and a blue blazer. But can Martha every really do anything wrong? :)

So back to Christina and Rose, which do you love and which do you hate?

Celebrities Attend The White House Correspondents' Association Dinner

What else would Pammy wear to the White House? :) I wouldn't expect anything less... I mean more. There really wasn't a lot of noise about who was going to the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner. But look who showed up:

  • Pamela Anderson
  • Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner
  • Rosario Dawson
  • Eric Dane
  • Padma Lakshmi
  • Lauren Conrad
  • Marcia Cross
  • Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz
  • Martha Stewart

Quite the crowd! I can see Ben Affleck being really excited about attending this event. It isn't a secret that he follows politics.
