Mary J. Blige Designs Limited Edition Tees With Catherine Malandrino

Mary J. Blige teamed up with renowned fashion designer Catherine Malandrino to debut their limited-edition FFAWN + Catherine Malandrino capsule collection of T-shirts at Bloomingdale's in NYC yesterday. They read "I'm Love", "I'm Free" and "I'm Power" and the shirts retail for $39.
FFAWN, Foundation for the Achievement of Women Now, is the charity Mary started in 2008. A portion of each sale will help support this initiative.
When asked why Mary chose Catherine to work with, the singer said:
"Catherine has been a dear friend of mine for years and, after she learned about FFAWN and our mission, she offered to create a T-shirt collection that would celebrate being women, being strong and being free."
What a great cause!

Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy Party

Rihanna did it again, working the red carpet in a memorable dress :) According to the Daily Mail, some people claim Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party is bigger than the Grammy Awards itself. Mary J. Blige reportedly caused a stir during her performance when she got angry with her band.
As the band struck up the number's intro, she told the musicians to stop, waved her arms angrily and demanded: 'Can we get the right music for Mary J Blige?'
She added: 'Are we practicing still?'
Adding to the irony, Mary was about to sing the song 'No More Drama.' Apparently, it's considered bad form to criticize your band publicly, but the crowd gave her a standing ovation for her performance, so things worked out.
Between this and the alleged argument with her husband, it seems like Mary is struggling a little these days. I hope not!
The red carpet certainly dazzled! Below are (in this order): Mary J. Blige, Taylor Swift, Toni Braxton, Fergie, Mya, Ciara, Katy Perry, Jennifer Hudson, and Ke$ha.

Fact Or Fiction: Mary J. Blige Hit Her Husband During Argument

The NY Post Page Six claims Mary J. Blige and her husband, Kendu Isaacs, got into it after she spotted him flirting with a waitress at her record release party in club M2.
"She turned to him and was screaming, 'You're not going to ruin my night,' " our witness says. "They got up in each other's faces before someone tried to separate them, at which point she shoved the guy aside, pulled back and popped [Isaacs] in the face.
"She was yelling at him, 'What are you gonna do, Chris Brown me?' Four of her bodyguards and two of the club's kept them apart."
Kendu reportedly was kicked out of the club while MJB went to the restroom to fix her hair before leaving herself. Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Busta Rhymes were still there.
Mary's rep said:
"People lie and don't know what they're talking about."
Hmmm... that doesn't sound quite like a firm denial to me. I hope this isn't true, because I think MJB's been through enough and doesn't need any more drama.
What do you think: fact or fiction?

Mary J Blige Signs Copies Of 'Stronger With Each Tear'

Growing up, Mary J. Blige was probably my favorite artist. I RELATED to every album she came out with and would listen to her for comfort through hard times. She was a GIFT to me and hundreds of thousands for SURE.
After I married and had children, I stopped keeping up with her. I'm in a different place these days. But when I see pictures of her promoting new music, it makes me smile because I at least know she is going strong continuing what she loves to do.
Here she is signing copies of her new album 'Stronger With Each Tear' at Best Buy in New York City last night. Are you a MJB fan?
