Fact Or Fiction: Sarah Jessica Parker And Matthew Broderick To Live Apart
Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are set to live apart right after the arrival of their newborn twins. Rumor has it that the couple – who have been married for 12 years and have three children together – have decided to set-up home in different properties in New York. The reason? Matthew wants to remain in Manhattan and Sarah and the children want the quieter life Brooklyn can offer.
A source said:
“It would be a surprising decision to make so soon after the arrival of their twins. Having the babies born healthy and happy was a dream come true, so it’s strange that they might have to spend some time apart at this stage.
“No one can quite believe it, but it’s clear they’re making the right decision for all the right reasons.”
Sarah is determined for her twins – who were born using a surrogate mother - to grow up away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The 44-year-old actress has already purchased a nine-bedroom house in Brooklyn, where she believes the children will enjoy a better life.
The source added to Look magazine:
“Sarah clearly loves Manhattan, but she has three children now. It might be better for them to grow up somewhere calmer where they can play in the park and feel safe, rather than in the madness of Manhattan.
“But Matthew loves their townhouse in Manhattan because it’s close to his work on Broadway. He’s currently in negotiations to perform in an off-Broadway theatre production and it wouldn’t make sense for him to commute into town every day for work.”
Either way, it will be a strain on this family. If Matthew stays in Manhattan, then he misses out on being with the kids and helping Sarah raise them. If Matthew moves to Brooklyn, he will have a longer commute to work and be resentful.
Sarah Jessica Parker Has Taken Her Twins Home!
Sarah Jessica Parker has taken her new twin daughters home.
The 'Sex and the City' actress and her husband Matthew Broderick - whose twin daughters Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge were born to a surrogate on Monday- have left hospital and returned to their family home with their newly-extended brood.
According to staff at the East Ohio Regional Hospital, two vehicles with New York number plates escorted the family from the building at 11am yesterday surrounded by police vehicles.
Hospital spokeswoman Maggie Espina confirmed:
"Yes, they are gone."
During their stay at the medical center, the Hollywood couple - who already have a six-year-old son James Wilkie - were given a private suite with 24-hour security.
A staff member said:
"It's really private up there. They've been using the service elevator to move around."
Security was reportedly so strict, other new mothers were asked to close the doors to their rooms.
One woman said:
"Up on the floor everybody had to keep their doors shut. All the patients had to keep their doors shut."
Earlier this week, the couple spoke out about their joy at becoming parents again.
A statement read:
"They are delighted to announce the healthy arrival of their two daughters. The babies are doing beautifully and the entire family is over the moon."
Sarah and Matthew announced they were expecting twin daughters via a surrogate in April after they struggled to conceive naturally.

According to WTRF, an Ohio news station, the surrogate for Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick gave birth to the twin girls this morning in Ohio. Sarah and Matthew are reportedly at the hospital.
Security at the hospital is tight this morning. We're told additional
guards have been brought in and even more are on standby, if needed, as
this story is expected to get national attention."
The hospital declined to comment. According to TMZ, Sarah and Matthew are expected to release a statement sometime today.
The girls join James Wilkie, who is six years old.
Congratulations! I can't wait to see Sarah dress these girls!

Aaaand, here it is...the statement with the girls' names.
"Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are delighted to announce
the healthy arrival of their two daughters at 3:58 p.m. on June 22 in
Ohio.""Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick weighed 5 lbs., 11 oz., and Tabitha
Hodge Broderick weighed 6 pounds," the statement continues. "Both Hodge
and Elwell are family names on Parker's side.""The babies are doing beautifully and the entire family is over the moon."

Are People So Curious About Sarah Jessica Parker's Twins...
... that the police could plan to break into Sarah Jessica Parker's and Matthew Broderick's surrogate's house to get information to sell to a tabloid? Talk about taking things Too. Far. Yet, according to TMZ, a criminal probe is underway.
[T]wo police chiefs in the area where Sarah Jessica Parker's
surrogate mother lives are under investigation -- for allegedly
concocting a plan to break into the surrogate's home to get info for a
tabloid."
The two police chiefs allegedly plotted to break into the surrogate's house "to show the living conditions" and sell the information. Why would anyone even care about the surrogate's house?
The police chief has issued a statement to the press:
I'm 100% innocent in this and my department is as well."
Hopefully this isn't true, but the surrogate's house was reportedly burglarized a few weeks ago.

Matthew Broderick is speaking out about the twin girls his family is expecting this summer. He said his son, James Wilkie, is excited to meet his baby sisters but is now beginning to realize he won't be an only child anymore. Matthew, however, has been considering the implications of twins.
'Oh man, I'm nervous just even thinking about it,' he says.
'Yeah, I'm ready. You know, I've asked people, 'What's it like to have
twins?' One father said, 'I don't recommend it,' quips Broderick --
currently starring in The Philanthropist on Broadway. 'But the rest have been very positive.' "
Matthew will have to contact 'Boston Legal' star Julie Bowen in a few weeks: she gave birth to twin boys, Gus and John, early this morning. They join older brother Oliver.
And in other baby news, Seal announced that he and wife Heidi Klum are expecting a baby girl, somthing Heidi said they wanted.
