Mel Gibson Signed Up For Lethal Weapon 5

Well, why not? Every other movie is deciding to do it. Let's bring them all back! Big Trouble in Little China, The Golden Child, Robocop, Goonies... I can literally go on all day. Two decades worth of movies is quite a list to rehash.
Mel Gibson AND Danny Glover have signed up for the 5th installment of Lethal Weapon and rumor is the script is fantastic!
"Lethal Weapon 5 is a go. Mel and Danny are back. The script is fabulous!"
...ok I'm excited!!
Mel Gibson Tried To Play Cupid For Britney Spears And His Son
At first, these two seemed like such an odd friendship, but by now we're all used to seeing Britney Spears and Mel Gibson's names in the same sentence. Rumor has it that Mel actually wanted to hook Britney up with one of his twin sons. Edward, who had been in rehab for cocaine and alcohol problems, recently cleaned up his act and Mel thought the two could be good for each other.
"Mel felt Ed would be a great influence on Brit, and if the relationship turned into romance, all the better."
There was just one little problem. Britney wasn't that into the idea.
"She hid from them for most of the night. Mel and his son spent most of their evening talking to her bodyguards!"
And Mel just loves to help everybody he can.
"Mel's helped out other stars, such as Robert Downey Jr. -- and he'd love to see Britney do as well as Robert has."
Mel Gibson's son and Britney Spears...crazier things have happened.
In other Britney news, I just read a rumor that a world tour is in the works...doesn't she need a new album to promote first?

Screening For American Gangster

Russell Crowe, Olivier Martinez, Ben Foster, Denzel Washington, Damon Waynes and Mel Gibson all attended the industry screening of 'American Gangster' held at ArcLight Theatre. A few weeks ago we talked about how Will Smith is one of those actors who always make me want to see the movie. Russell and Denzel are both on that list as well. So this one just might be a keeper.
In 1970s America, a detective works to bring down the drug empire of Frank Lucas, a heroin kingpin from Manhattan, who is smuggling the drug into the country in the coffins of soldiers returning from the Vietnam War.
The movie releases on the 2nd.

Mel Gibson Has Learned From His Mistakes

"I got a skinful and mouthed off, which is not coming from a good place, but I'm moving on from that. (It was) a gift because it's made me really scratch my head and focus on a couple of things that I needed to. It's working out real positive, and hopefully that's reflecting in the lives that I'll touch." (source)

Apocalypto Praised For Indigenous Cast

Regardless of what you may think about Mel Gibson, Native American groups are praising him for his use of indigenous cast in his new movie, "Apacalypto". The cast includes Native Americans from Yucatan, Mexico City, Oaxaca, Xalapa, and Veracruz as well as the US and Canada. Approval from indigenous people must be important to Mel, as he attended a screening of the movie last Friday at the Chickasaw Nation's Riverwind Casino. Proceeds from this event were donated to local Native American charities.

Everyone Is Apologizing - Who Can't You Forgive?

This has been a tough year in the media. Mel Gibson, Michael Richards and James Frey have all done things they now live to regret. But Hollywood always seems to be forgiven. Is there anything that has happened that you just can't let go of?
Personally, the only thing I CAN'T forgive is anything involving children. They cannot defend themselves. Matters involving adults offend me, but I don't care enough to take a stand about it. But if a child is involved, then I can't let it go and I will intentionally NOT support any future projects of those artists or actors. Even if it isn't 100% proven. Just the thought is enough.
