Yesterday, The NY Post posted that Melissa Joan Hart was overheard making a terrible joke at Farrah Fawcett's expense. Today, the Teenage Witch took to her MySpace account to respond to the allegation:
"It has come to my attention that something I said has been completely misconstrued in the press. I was merely explaining what I had read about how the cover of People magazine was chosen from an article last week I read in the Times. I truly hope that Farrah and her family know I wish them the best at this time in her life. And that I would never be so selfish to disrespect anyone, let alone someone I admire greatly."I am sure Farrah has bigger things to worry about, but it's nice that Melissa went on record to clear the air.

I am HOPING this one is completely false. The NY Post has a source claiming that Melissa Joan Hart joked a bit about keeping her People Magazine bikini cover on the stands a week prior to its release. The actress was "overheard" telling friends she hoped Farrah Fawcett wouldn't die and steal her cover.
The former "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" star was overheard off-cam era at KTLA in Los Angeles on Friday saying how she'd been hoping last week that cancer- stricken Farrah Fawcett wouldn't die -- and thus bump Hart off the cover of People magazine. Hart is on this week's cover posing in a bikini after recently losing 42 pounds. Hart appeared on KTLA to promote her new ice cream and candy store.
What do you think? Could this be true? Or is someone just spreading nasty rumors?

Melissa Joan Hart is officially one busy lady. Ever since she showed off her 113 pound bikini body on the cover of People Magazine, companies are knocking down her door to get help promoting their product.
Here is the mom of 2 hosting the grand opening of her new store 'Sweetharts' in Sherman Oaks, California. Ironically, the store houses all the things she can no longer eat freely.
Oh the temptation!!
And HOW CUTE is that main pic with her boys? I would get that framed if I were Melissa.

An unrecognizable Melissa Joan Hart shows off her amazing bikini bod in the upcoming June issue of People magazine. Melissa says that she was ‘horrified” last summer by how she looked. Since then, she has been working hard to change her diet and hitting the gym, and is now ready to reveal her new bikini body.
About her weight then, Melissa says
“I still read blogs about me discussing how fat I’ve become,” she says. “Everyone still thinks I’m huge.”
Dropping the weight took a lot of hard work,
“It didn’t happen by magic – it was as hard for me as it would be for anyone else,” she says.
The mother-of-two lost 42 pounds and regained her confidence. She ended by saying
"I feel amazing!" she says. "I had to prove to myself that I could do it. I had to give it a go!"
Good for her!

Melissa Joan Hart of Clarissa Explains It All and Sabrina the Teenage Witch talked to Jarrett Wieselman, who writes for nypost.com's blog Pop Wrap about shedding her good girl image. Melissa said she is not a good girl in her new movie, My Fake Fiance.
I love the idea of playing people who know they're doing something wrong. A flawed person. And I never really get to play that type of role since I'm always the good girl. The girl next door. It's a nice challenge and I'm trying to move into that more. But what frustrates me is that I'm an actor, I'm supposed to be able to put on different faces, but Hollywood doesn't see me that way. To them, I'm Sabrina and that's it. My success is my own worst enemy."
Melissa even considered posing for Playboy after doing a racy Maxim photoshoot!
I was 23-years-old and willing to be sexy to promote my movie. Plus, I went through a time where I was a little wild. I actually showed up at the photoshoot from The Playboy Mansion, so it was like, 'oh big deal - bra and panties, that's what I saw everybody in all night.' I had no idea how big that was going to be. [From that experience] I learned that I didn't want to do Playboy. They came around and offered me a million dollars, which I had to seriously consider. Initially it's like, 'yea, I'll take my clothes off for a million bucks, are you kidding?' It's the big question: what will you do for a million dollars? But I decided that because of the reaction I got from Maxim I wasn't comfortable- and my brother had that cover shoved in his face for months. That made me say no."
I can not imagine Melissa doing Playboy! I can totally understand the urge to have people see you as an adult, (and one million dollars is certainly nothing to sneeze at) but does why does being an adult have to include posing nude or in lingerie?
Melissa also shares her thoughts on Lindsay Lohan, Jamie Lynn Spears, and a lot more over at Pop Wrap, so check it out!

Long and sily smooth - that was the memo that went out to all the ladies who attended The Art of Elysium's 2nd Annual Black Tie Charity Gala. So many dresses to talk about! I love how only three men were photographed arriving - events like these are all about the women.
Click on the thumbnails below to see what the following celebrities wore to the gala.
Kate Bosworth, Sophia Bush, Courtney Cox, Eva Mendes, Nicole Richie, Rumer Willis, Milla Jovovich, Shannen Doherty, Kirsten Dunst, Trudie Styler, Ali Larter, Melissa Joan Hart, and Marisa Tomei.
Oh yeah, Gerard Butler, David Arquette, Sting and Elijah Wood also decided to show up. :)

Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina the Teenage Witch) and her son attended the March of Dimes Celebration of Babies luncheon gala in Beverly Hills. The event recognized some of the most prominent individuals who are celebrating the birth of their children and who are role models for March of Dimes commitment to love and hope for healthy babies.
Hosted by Jennie Garth, the event included baby boutiques, silent auctions and a live auction program.
If you would like to get involved with the March of Dimes, why not start by signing their petition below?
The petition is a call to action to all mothers asking them to help the March of Dimes put the issue of preterm birth on the national health agenda. More than a half million babies are born too soon each year, and unfortunately an early birth put babies at a greater risk of death and health problems, such as breathing difficulties and developmental delays that can plague them for life.
