Melissa Rycroft Latest Celebrity To Have The Swine Flu
Melissa Rycroft, the former Bachelor star, has confirmed to US Weekly magazine that she is just getting over a bout of the "swine" flu (aka the H1N1 virus).
"I am indeed recovering from a bout of the H1N1 flu virus. Like most people who become infected, I thought I had a mild case of the common flu, but when my symptoms exacerbated, I immediately went to the hospital where I was diagnosed with H1N1 and given the proper medications to cure the infection."
Melissa also said that fiance Tye Strickland's mother (who is a nurse) gave her some sound advice of "getting checkups and get better."
"I want to stress to people how easy it is to battle this flu when you take the proper steps such as seeking the care of a doctor," she tells Us. "I'm a clear case that by paying diligent attention to your health, it's easy to overcome this illness and be healthy again."
It's really running rampant all over the country. I'm guessing that schools being back in session has a lot to do with the more rapid spreading in the last month or so?

Dancing With The Stars' former contestant Melissa Rycroft is ENGAGED to on again off again boyfriend,
Tye Strickland. Apparently, the pair have been dating (on again off again) for over two years.
Rycroft got engaged to Dallas insurance agent Tye Strickland on June 26 after they dated on and off for more than two years, PEOPLE has learned.
"He's my best friend," Rycroft, 26, gushed to PEOPLE last April about the 28-year-old agent.
After Melissa was dumped on air by Jason Mesnick, Melissa and Tye began to talk again and their relationship bloomed. Here's the question - do you smell a reality show? Because I do! I am sure Bravo or E! Entertainment are finalizing contracts as we speak!

I sent Miss Melissa a congrats on Twitter and asked about any upcoming reality shows. She said none are currently planned and she didn't think there would be any in her future. There you have it! :)

Melissa Rycroft From The Bachelor Working For Good Morning America?
Melissa Rycroft from 'The Bachelor' has just landed a new gig...she'll be working for 'Good Morning America.' None of this is rep confirmed, however Melissa Twitterered about it. That's official enough for me!
Though unconfirmed by the network, sources tell TVGuide.com that
Rycroft will join the morning program this summer as a special
contributor. In that capacity, Rycroft will deliver "uplifting,
summer-type" pieces, our insider says.Rycroft — who on Wednesday hinted at her new job via Twitter, saying, "Guess who just got a job with Good Morning America???" — is expected to make several appearances throughout the summer.
After ' Dancing With the Stars' and now this doesn't it make you question her motives for going on The Bachelor in the first place? Was she always out to land some other kind of TV deal? Eh. Probably...but what does it really matter in the end...do women really go on The Bachelor thinking they'll find true love? Just call me cynical. :)

ANOTHER Injury For Dancing With The Stars - This Time It's Melissa Rycroft
Life has taken over and I officially am no longer watching 'Dancing with the Stars'. However, it never ceases to AMAZE me how many celebrities this year are walking away broken and battered.
Talk about serious training! I wouldn't last a day... forget about a season. LOL!
Melissa Rycroft is the latest contestant to unable to perform due to an injury. 'The Bachelor' star suffered a rib injury and sat out her scheduled jive with partner Tony Dovolani.
Host Tom Bergeron says Rycroft is talking with doctors, and the prognosis is a hairline fracture of one of her ribs.
Since Rycroft couldn’t perform, the judges scored her by reviewing her rehearsal footage taped earlier Monday.
Hopefully, that will be enough to get her through to the next round.

Denise Richards and Melissa Rycroft are currently both competing on this season of "Dancing with the Stars" and were seen leaving rehearsals in West Hollywood this past weekend. One last big push before tonight's show I suppose!
