The Show Must Go On????

Michael Jackson will perform from beyond the grave in London next month.
The late singer’s ‘This Is It’ show is being planned to take place at The O2 arena – where the ‘Smooth Criminal’ singer had sold-out a 50-night residency – on August 29, the day of Michael’s 51st birthday.
A life-like hologram of the ‘King of Pop’ will be projected on stage and perform parts of his planned set to fans accompanied by the backing dancers he had been rehearsing with before his death last month.
It is also believed the pop star’s children – Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11 and seven-year-old Prince Michael II, also known as ‘Blanket’ – will take to the stage for the grand finale with Michael’s brothers and sisters, like they did at his Los Angeles memorial on Tuesday.
‘Britain’s Got Talent’ singer Shaheen Jafargholi – who performed ‘Who’s Lovin’ You?’ at the ceremony - has reportedly been approached about singing a Jackson 5 medley, taking on the vocals Michael performed as a youngster for the planned show.
AEG promoter Randy Philips – the man behind Michael’s O2 residency - says it is important everyone gets to see what would have been an “amazing show”.
Earlier this month, he said:
“The world needs to see this production. It would have been - which is the tragedy here - one of the most amazing shows ever, so at some point we want the world to see that. The sooner the better.”
Michael Jackson's Dermatologist Speaks Out

According to TMZ, the Jackson family gave the LAPD a list of doctors who they suspected had "misprescribed drugs to Michael Jackson." One of the names reportedly on the list was Dr. Arnold Klein, Michael Jackson's dermatologist, who was also rumored to be the biological parent of Michael's two older children.
Arnold gave an interview to 'Good Morning America' today. When asked if he was the biological father of Michael's two older children, this was his response.
"All I can tell you is, to the best of my knowledge, I am not the
father of these children," Klein said. "I can't answer it any other
way. I don't want to feed any of this insanity going around."
What kind of an answer is that?

Love It Or Hate It: Corey Feldman

During Michael Jackson's memorial service, Corey Feldman paid tribute to his friend and showed up dressed like the singer. What do you think about Corey doing something like this? Was it out of respect? Or do you think he knew it would get media coverage?
Details On Michael Jackson Memorial Service

The memorial service for Michael Jackson today was filled with celebrities paying their respects to the King of Pop. Those who couldn't make it, or who didn't perform, sent statements that were read on stage to millions of friends and family of MJ.
A letter from Nelson Mandela was read,
"Michael was a giant and a legend in the music industry. And we mourn with the millions of fans worldwide.
"We
had great admiration for his talent and that he was able to triumph
over tragedy on so many occasions in his life. My wife and I, our
family, our friends, send you our condolences during this time of
mourning. Be strong, Nelson Mandela."
Diana Ross was also unable to attend but her letter said,
"This feels right for me. Michael was a personal love of mine, a treasured part of my world, part of the fabric of my life.
"Michael
wanted me to be there for his children, and I will be there if they
ever need me. I hope today brings closure for all those who loved him."
The founder of Motown Records, Berry Gordon Jr. also had kind words for MJ.
"The more I talk about Michael Jackson, the more I feel the 'King of
Pop'is not big enough for him. I think he is simply the greatest
entertainer that ever lived."He studied the greats and then became greater. He raised the bar, and then he broke the bar.
"Off-stage
he was shy, soft-spoken and childlike. But when he took the stage in
front of his fans he became a different person. A master. Awesome...
totally in charge."
Michael Jackson's Private Memorial Service Has Concluded

Michael Jackson’s body is on its way to the singer’s memorial service.
The
late Thriller singer’s solid bronze coffin was wheeled out of
Hollywood’s Forest Lawn Cemetery and into a waiting black hearse
following a private funeral for the singer.
The casket was accompanied by the
star’s siblings and parents Joe and Katherine, who had attended this
morning’s service and got into waiting limousines to follow
the hearse to Los Angeles’ Staples Center, where thousands of fans have
gathered for the tribute to the pop icon, whose coffin will be
displayed on stage.
Michael’s three children, Prince Michael,
12, Paris, 11 and Prince Michael II, seven, were not seen but it is
believed they were at the service.
Earlier, Los Angeles was
driven to a standstill when police shut a five-lane freeway to escort
the 18-car funeral procession from Joe and Katherine’s home to the
cemetery for the funeral service.
Fans at the Staples Center cheered as video footage of his coffin was shown on big screens.
Inside
the venue, the stage is adorned with the star's image, alongside a
mural carrying the words "In Loving Memory. Michael Jackson King of Pop
- 1958-2009."
It is not known where the singer’s body will be
taken following his star-studded memorial service, but it is expected
to return to Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mariah Carey To Sing At Michael Jackson's Memorial Service

According to TMZ, "multiple sources" are reporting that Mariah Carey will sing at Michael Jackson's memorial service tomorrow.
She will reportedly be singing the Jackson 5 song, I'll Be There.
I had never considered they might have popular singers perform at the service, although it makes perfect sense.
I wonder who else (if anyone else) will sing?
Did you apply for tickets to attend the service?

Debbie Rowe Has Not Reached A Final Decision About Custody

Debbie Rowe's attorney said that Debbie is still trying to decide if she wants to seek custody of the two children she had with Michael Jackson.
"Debbie Rowe has not reached a final decision concerning the custody
proceedings," attorney Eric M. George told reporters during a press
conference Thursday. "As many of you know, my belief is that the
pending custody proceedings are the most private and the most sensitive
of matters as they impact the lives and the fates of young children. To
that end, I've endeavored out of respect for Michael's children and
family, especially in this time of grieving, to keep silence on these
matters, to deny all interview requests and to share only that
information involving upcoming public court proceedings."
A reporter for an LA news station reported that Debbie had told him she "want[s] my children," but Debbie's attorney maintained she has not made a final decision.
"I have no reason to doubt that what was reported from that conversation
was accurately and ethically reported, but that said, it would be a
distortion of the truth to allow that single snapshot of a single
conversation, to stand as the truth on Debbie's position on this
sensitive matter."
When the couple divorced in 1999, Debbie reportedly relinquished her parental rights, according to TMZ, although the judge reportedly later reversed the decision to terminate Debbie's parental rights.
Debbie is also said to be willing to take a DNA test to prove she is the older two children's biological mother and she is willing to take all three children to keep them together and would consider obtaining a restraining order against Joe Jackson.
The Jacksons reportedly plan to fight this.
Hopefully this will be resolved before it gets too nasty.
