Celebrities Respond To Michael Jackson's Death
Who isn't shocked!? I still can't believe that Michael Jackson has died. I mean, the man was only 50 and is was arguably the most famous man on the planet. Any country, any song, any time of your life - I'm pretty sure Michael was involved.
Celebs are beginning to react.
Madonna "can't stop crying" about the death of Michael Jackson.
"I can't stop crying over the sad news. I have always admired Michael Jackson. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever! My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless."
'Candle in the Wind' singer Sir Elton John was halfway though his annual White Tie and Tiara Ball when he heard about Michael's death.
He broke the news to his guests - including Liz Hurley, Hugh Grant, Lily Allen and Kelly Osbourne - before dedicating his song 'Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me' to Michael.
Nearly half of his guests left after they found out about the death.
Britney Spears was one of the first to express her grief about the pop icon's passing.
In a statement issued last night, she said:
"I was so excited to see his show in London. We were going to be on tour in Europe at the same time and I was going to fly in to see him. He has been an inspiration throughout my entire life and I'm devastated he's gone!"
Justin Timberlake has also paid tribute to the "inspirational genius".
He wrote on his website:

Jermaine Jackson Releases Family Statement
"My brother, the legendary king of pop, Michael Jackson, passed away on Thursday, June 25, at 2:26 p.m.
"The personal physician who was with him at the time attempted to resuscitate my brother - as did paramedics who transported him to the hospital. Upon arriving at the hospital at approximately 1:14 p.m., a team of doctors, including emergency physicians and cardiologists, attempted to resuscitate him for a period of one hour and they were unsuccessful.
"Our family requests that the media please respect our privacy during this tough time. May Allah be with you Michael, always."

Michael Jackson Dies At The Age Of 50
Michael Jackson was rushed to a hospital in LA after suffering a heart attack.

Update: TMZ has more information and it doesn't look good for the singer.
- The 911 call came in at 12:21PM at his Holmby Hills home in L.A.
- A Jackson family member tells TMZ Michael is in "really bad shape" and the brothers are headed to UCLA.
- We just got off the phone with Joe Jackson, Michael's dad, who says "he is not doing well."
UPDATE 2: People Magazine has a quote from Michael's father, Joe.
"His mother is on her way to the hospital now to check in on him. I am not sure what's wrong. I am waiting to hear back from them."
Update 3: Sense of urgency around the pop star according to US Weekly.
According to X17, more than 10 members of Michael's entourage arrived at the UCLA Medical Center just after 1 p.m. PST after following the ambulance.
"They all got out of the SUVs in a panic and Michael was wheeled into the emergency room on a stretcher," the site reports. "There was definitely a sense of urgency and everyone looked worried."
Update 4: Now People is saying that he didn't have a heart attack - INSTEAD he was rushed to the hospital because he wasn't breathing.
UPDATE 5: TMZ is reporting that Michael Jackson has DIED.
Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.
UPDATE 6: Police are now putting up barracades around Michael Jackson's home to prevent fans from entering. It will also allow mourners to visit in an orderly fashion. I still can't believe it.
UPDATE 7: NBC News has confirmed that Michael Jackson has been pronounced dead. I'm not sure whether or not to believe until we have rep confirmation, but the LA Times is also reporting that he is dead.
At this time, we STILL DON'T HAVE A REP CONFIRMATION. However, so many major media outlets are going with this story which leads me to believe it has truly happened.
UPDATE 8: CNN is confirming the death. My thoughts are with Michael's children.
UPDATE 9: OK Magazine is saying the autopsy should occur tomorrow.
UPDATE 10: Hospital is about to hold a press conference.
UPDATE 11: LaToya was seen hysterical crying as she entered the hospital. And a staff member is said to be the one to call 911 from Michael's home.
Update 12: Al Shaprton has released a statement.
"Michael Jackson made culture accept a person of color," the Rev. Al Sharpton said. "To say an 'icon' would only give these young people in Harlem a fraction of what he was. He was a historic figure that people will measure music and the industry by."

The Hulk Is Training Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson is being trained by Lou Ferrigno. I usually don't write about either party - but how can I NOT bring this one up?
The ‘Incredible Hulk’ actor is paying secret visits to the ‘Thriller’ star’s Los Angeles home to help him prepare for his forthcoming ‘This Is It’ run of shows at London’s O2 arena.
A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper:
“Lou has been visiting Michael to build him up so he can perform his dance routines.
“But Michael refuses to lift weights. He doesn’t want to bulk up.”
I think it is literally impossible for Michael to bulk up. In the 40 plus years he's been in the Entertainment industry, Michael has been a string bean at best.
The 50-year-old singer – who weighs a reported 126lbs and eats just one meal a day - is reportedly battling skin cancer and is said to be terrified gaining weight will damage his chances of beating the disease.
Michael and Lou struck up a friendship two years ago when the ‘Bad’ singer began using the 57-year-old actor’s gym.
Lou said at the time:
“Michael is more delicate. Our trainer conditioned him for dancing.
“He likes me, he feels safe with me. He was nervous about people looking at him when he’s training.”
Aw... that's sad and so true. Imagine going to the gym and noticing Michael Jackson lifting weights or on the treadmill?
Last month, it was revealed the ‘Beat It’ star would kick off his concert run on July 13, five days later than originally planned.
Shows scheduled to take place on July 10, 12 and 14 have been moved to the end of the residency in March 2010.
Michael Jackson Leaving Medical Facility
Michael Jackson was seen leaving a medical building in Beverly Hills with his son, Prince Michael Jackson II (Blanket), on Monday afternoon.
Michael is currently undergoing treatment for skin cancer. It's a bit scary to watch someone we all grew up with publicly battle this life threatening disease. It's so easy to think we're untouchable until something like this happens and reminds us we are not.
The singer is currently set to perform a 50-night concert series in London's O2 arena. No word on whether or not the show will happen.

Michael Jackson Wants To Duet With Leona Lewis?
Michael Jackson is making his big comeback over in the UK with a huge series of concerts there that sold out within minutes. Now he wants to ask Leona Lewis to be a part of the show! Rumor has it that he wants her to sing Janet Jackson's part of the Scream duet.
Michael has a list of singers he feels could do Janet justice - and Leona is top.
He hasn't approached her yet but he's a big fan of everything
she has achieved. She's massive all around the world and he feels
this duet would give both their careers an even bigger boost.
Hmm, that would be an interesting collaboration. But, honestly I think it'd be great. Everything Leona does these days is a huge success, so why not take a chance with Michael?

Michael Jackson And The Kids Have A Normal Halloween
Michael Jackson cannot go anywhere without getting MOBBED by A. the paparazzi and B. fans. That's why I don't really know why he decided to take his kids trick or treating... and why a day early?
Perhaps he is just having them walk around in masks because we all know he doesn't like having their images in the press.
This family manages to stay calm during the storm though. In all the photos, Michael and his family look relaxed and like they're having fun. I guess the kids are probably just used to all this by now. :)
