Lindsay Lohan's Teary Confrontation With An Ex
Lindsay Lohan reportedly stormed out of Brittny Gastineau's birthday party earlier this week after a confrontation with an ex, Courtenay Semel, according to the NY Post.
A source said, "Everyone was trying to keep [Lohan and Semel] apart, especially since Courtenay is recently out of rehab and has pleaded with Lindsay to do the same.
"Everything was fine for a while, and Lindsay seemed happy, but then there was a confrontation when she came out of the bathroom, and she ran out in tears. Everyone fears she's on some kind of self-destructive collision course."
When the Post contacted Lindsay's rep about the incident, the rep only said "That's news to me," while Courtenay's rep did not return calls.
The evening about Brittny's birthday party, Lindsay reportedly was out partying with Stavros Niarchos until 7 am. It doesn't sound like Michael Lohan's concerns about completely unfounded, but his tactics are still far more detrimental than helpful (even if they are profitable for him).
A Beverly Hills addiction counselor had this to say about Michael's attempts to get Lindsay to return to rehab:
"Her dad is putting her in a scary situation. Getting her into rehab should be done quietly with love and respect, not by public criticism. He is just forcing her to rebel, and it's just a time bomb waiting to happen."
That makes complete sense to me. Hopefully this situation won't get any worse.

Lindsay Lohan Won't Let Everything Get Her Down
Despite the daily releases of tapes of private phone calls from father Michael Lohan, Lindsay sounds like she is determined to remain upbeat, based on what she told E! Online's Marc Malkin.
"I've never been happier in my life," she insisted to us last night at the Nu Pop Movement watch launch at Kitson Men. "As long as my mom, my sister and my brother are happy, then I'm good."
What about her father?
While browsing the new timepieces, designed by Jermaine Dupri and Pascal Mouawad, in the VIP area, a source tells us, "Lindsay picked up one of the watches and sarcastically said, 'I'm going to get this one for my dad.' She then rolled her eyes."
Later in the night, Lindsay hit new West Hollywood hot spot Voyeur. As the paparazzi scrambled for her pic when she was leaving, she snickered, "Why don't you find my dad? He is the one that wants pictures."
You can't blame her for making those comments, though, can you? Hopefully Michael will run out of tapes soon.

Lindsay Lohan Slams Her Father On Twitter
Lindsay Lohan has taken to her twitter account to talk about her father.
"My father is a lunatic & doesn't even deserve such a title since he's never been around in my life other than when he'd threaten me & my family. He should be where he has always put himself after verbally abusing and physically abusing people all my life-behind bars."
"It's so sad to get a phone call from my baby sister just now asking, 'why is daddy doing this?' Through tears. He's crossed the lines & hurt me & my family 4 the last time."
Lindsay's mother Dina Lohan just confirmed that both Lindsay and her younger sister Ali Lohan are obtaining restraining orders against their own father.
I feel like this whole situation is spiraling out of control. It must be so heartbreaking to the girls to have their own father be their enemy. I still hope that this gets fixed...somehow.

Lindsay And Dina Lohan Up The Ante With Michael
Lindsay Lohan has already thought about obtaining a restraining order against her father, Michael, once he began telling the media that he planned to kidnap her if necessary, supposedly to get her off prescription drugs.
Unfortunately, that hasn't stopped Michael from talking to the press and threatening to expose phone messages that are supposed to prove Lindsay's mother, Dina, is helping Lindsay "cover up" her "numerous addictions." Now Dina is fighting back.
"He's getting a cease-and-desist letter [from us], so that's not going to happen. If it's something personal about your child, you don't go public with it.
"He is hurting Lindsay. It breaks my heart. She's like, 'Mommy, when is he ever going to stop?' " Dina said.
"He is also six months behind in his child support. On Monday, we will file a violation order, and if he doesn't pay, he'll go to jail.
"He's getting paid for these shows he's doing talking about Lindsay," Dina said. "He's flying all over the country and not paying for his other three children he's hurting every time he goes on television."
Dina confirmed to Page Six that Lindsay and Ali are obtaining protection orders. She also claimed Michael is getting "nervous" because he's estranged from all of his children.
This whole thing is just incredibly sad.

Michael Lohan Wants To Kidnap Lindsay
I feel so awful for Lindsay Lohan and the family drama that keeps her in the spotlight. For a while there we had a nice break from the Michael-Dina-Lindsay feud but now Michael Lohan is back saying he wants to take Lindsay away but is afraid to because someone might press kidnapping charges.
"I'm going to see the judge this week...If I can't get a conservatorship, then I'm going to take her to an undisclosed location and get her straight. But I know I'm gonna get charged [with] kidnapping."
Lindsay's mom Dina Lohan is trying to stop Michael from using the media as an outlet to get to his daughter. In fact she's more concerned about him becoming a better parent and paying child support.
"Michael Lohan needs to focus on being a parent, paying child support, of which he is six months behind, and making up for all the years he was an absentee dad. And stop going on national television talking about his children publicly."
I agree that Michael should not be using national television to talk about his family and his children's personal lives. Especially after the ask him not to! That's probably one of the reasons they try to cut him off from their personal lives, because they know he's going to blab about it on television.
Despite what Dina says Micahel promised to Lindsay that he's going to do anything to get her attention.
"I’m gonna do anything and everything I have to save your life, whether mom likes it, the public likes it, or anyone."
However Lindsay doesn't really appreciate the gesture, in fact she's looking to take out a restraining order against her father!
"Lindsay is actively getting a restraining order, her lawyer have already been contacted," says the source. "She's scared. This is really serious."
Michael Lohan Apologizes Publicly to Lindsay Lohan
Michael Lohan will be on E!'s "Daily 10" tonight to issue a public apology to his daughter Lindsay. Some of the words of wisdom he'll be sharing:
“Lindsay, I love you with all my heart. And I’m sorry about being so public about certain things. But when I’m with you, when I was with you, out in LA, and I looked into your eyes I didn’t see the girl I brought up or the girl that was so gifted and talented during the years of ‘The Parent Trap,’ ‘Freaky Friday,’ ‘Mean Girls.’ And I’m not going to stand here and watch my daughter get destroyed anymore.”
“I mean, it’s got to stop. Do you see the same Lindsay now that you saw when she was acting? Do you think she can act like she used to? No! There’s no way, It’s a hollow, vacant body. You hold that body – it’s a broke body, a broken spirit in side. There’s nothing there. Nothing. It killed me. It literally killed me holding her in my arms. No father wants to feel death in a kid that’s always so alive. And I’m pissed – at myself too – for letting us go through a divorce. But that’s what happens to kids when they get divorced. They suffer, not us.”
Do you think a public plea is the way to get her some help? Do you wonder if maybe they aren't on speaking terms if he has to go through the media to get a message to her? I'm just trying to really wrap my brain around this. I guess we could give him credit for not posting those "open letters" that Candy Spelling does. LOL!
