Michelle Pfeiffer Is No Cougar

In her new movie, 'Cheri,' Michelle Pfeiffer plays a retired courtesan who finally falls in love for a real: with a man 30 years younger than her (played by Rupert Friend) who happens to be the son of a rival courtesan (played by Kathy Bates).
So although common slang may refer to Michelle's character as a "cougar," Michelle said that's one slang term she's ready to go out of style.
I can't wait for that word to go out of fashion, I just think it's ...
I'm so over it. Not that I was ever really into it. Where did that
start, anyway? How did that evolve? Well, it's not really what the
movie's about. But if it brings people into the theater, I'm all for
that."
Michelle also shared her secret for looking so great at (gasp!) 51.
Well, the truth is that when I'm doing press and when I'm making
movies, I am super disciplined. I eat really well, I make sure I get
enough sleep, I exercise religiously -- and all of that really matters
... And I have a whole team, so it's not really fair. It's not real
[laughs]. I couldn't keep this up everyday of my life, nor would I want
to, because life would be really boring. But, ultimately it's you are
what you eat and you have to exercise."
Whatever she does, she looks amazing.
Does 'Cheri' sound like something you want to see?

Does Michelle Pfeiffer Look Old And Decrepit To You?

I don't know who that German reporter was looking at, but that's what Michelle Pfeiffer was asked while there to promote her new film, 'Cheri.'
The 60-something reporter hit Pfeiffer with this body-blow: 'So how does it feel to have an old and decrepit body?'
The star adds, 'At first I didn’t understand her, I was like, 'Sorry,
did you just say I had an old and decrepit body?' and she was like, 'Ja
(yes). How does it feel?' "
And it sounds like it wasn't a joke, either. Michelle said she has had run-ins with this same reporter before.
She was the same woman who’d asked me years before, because I
remembered her. She’d said, 'Do you think what you’re wearing is
appropriate?' She was like, 60 and had on a miniskirt! And I said, 'Well, you’re the one who asked me two years ago if I was dressed
appropriate… (sic)'."
I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but Come. On!
Sounds like this journalist was just trying to get a rise out of Michelle, don't you think?

Michelle Pfeiffer Put Her Family Before Stardom

So that's why we haven't seen much of Michelle Pfeiffer! I remember when Michelle used to be everywhere and was pretty widely regarded as the most beautiful actress around. She put her career on hold to be a full-time mom.
'My family comes first,' said the three-time Oscar nominee, who is
married to TV producer David E. Kelley...'I have to do some
face time with the family. The work that I do is all encompassing and
it's not like an 8-to-5 job. Much of the time you leave before the kids
are up and when you get home they're in bed and so I feel like I can't
be away all the time. But now there's Skype. It's great and I love
that!''I hate school as much as they do and I love summer vacation,' says
Pfeiffer... 'I'm
not that eager to send them off to camp for the summer. I'm the type of
mom that likes having them around.' "
What's Michelle's least-favorite aspect to being a mother? Carpooling. She hates to get up so early!
Can you sympathize?
She schedules films for the summer and has a new film coming out called 'Cheri.'

Michelle Pfeiffer Loves Being 50

Turning 50 was no big thhhaaannngg for Michelle Pfeiffer. In fact, she is enjoying watching her leading men get younger the older she gets. Well, if that isn't a perk... then I don't know what it. LOL!
"It seems that my leading men just keep getting younger the older I get. It seems that people have an aversion to casting people of the same age - luckily for me, I don't really mind it."
All the worrying about hitting the "big 5-0" was pointless for Michelle because the actress realized her profession was actually benefiting from the aging process.
"The older you get, the roles actually become more interesting. If you think hitting 40 is liberating, wait till you hit 50 - and I was surprised at how liberating it was.
"The anticipation of something is always much worse than the reality."
Isn't that the truth!
Michelle Pfeiffer & Rupert Friend At The Berlin Fim Festival

Michelle Pfeiffer and Rupert Friend walked the red carpet for the premiere of their new movie, "Cheri" at the Berlin Film Festival yesterday in Germany. Every time I see Michelle I'm in awe of how truly gorgeous she is and the fact that she hasn't aged a bit. I desperately want to know what skin care line she uses. :)
Her new movie, "Cheri" co-stars Kathy Bates and is being released on the 25th of March.
A romantic drama set in 1920s Paris, where the son of a courtesan
retreats into a fantasy world after being forced to end his
relationship with the older woman who educated him in the ways of love.
Also attending the premiere was Keira Knightley in an interesting brown slouchy suit. What do you think of what she wore?

Michelle Pfeiffer Loves Straight To DVD Movies

"It's a great idea, and I hear they would like to get Jessica Simpson for the role of Sandy. She would be good." Pfeiffer adds of her own Grease experience, "I hated that film (Grease 2) with a vengeance and could not believe how bad it was. At the time, was young and didn't know better... I hear it's a cult movie now."
-- Michelle Pfeiffer recommending Jessica Simpson to play lead role in Grease remake.
Actually, now that I think of it... Jessica might make a really great Sandy. Especially at the end at the carnival. UGH I LOVE THAT MOVIE!! Now I have to rent it! Thanks Michelle - because I don't have enough to do these days....
Michelle Pfieffer At Stardust UK Premiere

Michelle Pfieffer continues to make aging women everywhere crazy with envy! By the time I am in my 40's, I hope scientists can figure out her secret, put it in a bottle and get it on the shelves of Nordstrom's quick so I can buy it by the bucket loads! Aside from the fact that Michelle looks so amazing, I really admire her style. She wears outfits that are very fashionable but she doesn't seem to try and wear things that are too young for her (like other celebrities that I will not name!).What more is there to say? LOVE her!!!Click on thumbnails to enlarge.
