Despite protests from fan groups, Michelle Rodriguez has begun her stay in the slammer after violating probation for driving under the influence.

The actress was sentenced to 180 days in jail after violating her probation for driving under the influence. She had admitted failing to complete community service after submitting a false document to show she carried out the work on 25 September (07). The 29-year-old was also found to have consumed alcohol on at least three occasions while wearing a monitoring bracelet around her ankle, in violation of a probation requirement she refrain from drinking for 90 days.

Will she be out by the New Year? Sounds about right...

A petition is in circulation to help prevent Michelle Rodriguez from spending jail on Christmas. Fans of the actress have come together and written a letter to the Los Angeles County Superior Court insisting no lesson will be learned from her extended time behind bars.

There is no lesson that Michelle Rodriguez could learn in 180 days that she couldn't learn in 18, or even 8. We do not believe that the imprisonment of this women is a demonstration of justice nor a fair punishment for her crimes. She is a good person. You were not allowed the opportunity to see Michelle Rodriguez the human, only the name on a legal document and if anything the "celebrity' name. To us, she is not a celebrity. We do not just support her for her few films or her professional career. We support her as a human being who, flaws included, has demonstrated so much kindness to others."

She keeps it simple in black and white, but still goes a little trendy by wearing the gladiator sandals. I think I just kind of enjoy the fact that she doesn't look like she's trying too hard, but still seems put together.

Michelle Rodriguez needs some finishing classes. I respect that she isn't a girly girl. Not everyone needs to feel comfortable in a dress. But if you don't feel comfortable getting dressed up, then don't get dressed up. Every picture from Vogue's Fantasy Beach party shows Michelle making awkward faces for the camera. If someone just sat her down and gave her a quick lesson, she would produce such prettier shots. I thought I'd surf around a bit before I closed up my computer for the night and came across two very important stories I just had to share with you. Nicole Richie has responded to the NY Post Blind Item that insinuated she had gastric bypass surgery.

So i gain a little bit of weight, and I'm acussed of having a gastric bypass surgery reversed? Its pathetic of Page Six to insinuate i have done this. Anyone that knows anything about this surgery would know that legally, you must be AT LEAST 100 pounds overweight to even have the surgery done, and is a serious, life changing procedure; not one to throw around as a joke or a rumor. Ive statement I am in the process of putting on weight, and that should be enough. Its a shame to hear that instead of hearing supportive words, someone needs to spin it into some negative, absurd way.

If it isn't her - then who? Did Page Six make the whole thing up? Some of you have said they were talking about Star Jones. But that was like a year ago. I doubt it. Damn that newspaper! Damn it all to hell! Here's to hoping The Awful Truth will pick this story up.
