Fame Was Hard On Nelly Furtado
Nelly Furtado had a breakdown when she first became famous. The 'Maneater' singer admits she initially struggled to cope with the pressures of fame and would spend a great deal of time alone, even though it seemed she was enjoying her life.
"Fame took me by surprise and I ended up having a breakdown. It was too much too soon. After two years of intense touring and partying I'd spend hours alone in my LA home, just staring at the floor. I felt like a fraud, believing that people liked me for my image and not my music."
Although she has recovered, Nelly - who is married to sound engineer Demacio Castellon and has a six-year-old daughter from a previous relationship - admits she would like to spend more time by herself but her lifestyle doesn't allow it.
She told Britain's Live! magazine:
"There are times when I long to be a hermit living in a cottage. I often crave that sort of solitude. But having a husband and a daughter tends to get in the way of that."
I can't imagine fame being easy, especially when you are on the A list. There is certainly a price to pay.
Celebrities Attend The 2009 Alma Awards
The beautiful people came out last night to show their support for the 2009 ALMA Awards. I mean... Roselyn Sanchez, Jordana Brewster and Salma Hayek walking the same red carpet! What a trio!
Also attending the event were:
Eva Longoria, Kat Von D, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Nelly Furtado, George Lopez, Selena Gomez and Dania Ramirez.

The new single and video is called “Broken Strings” and features Nelly Furtado who I LOVE.
He has been gaining a lot of steam from his tour with Adele this winter and will be playing Coachella before making a headlining run this spring.

Mark Wahlberg To Marry In August
I was wondering why SO MANY quotes were coming out about Mark Wahlberg. I mean every single day I would get about 5 different press releases with one or two sentences in each. Turns out they are spreading out recent interviews to help keep him in the news over the new Max Payne Movie.
Here he is walking alongside his bride to be Rhea Durham during the red carpet premiere in LA. Also walking the press line were Mina Kunis, Nelly Furtado, Brea Grant (Heroes), Bai Ling, and Aisha Tyler.
During the rounds, Mark admitted that he is planning to marry Rhea, the mother of his three children in August. But don't expect an invite in the mail. They haven't gotten to that part yet. If Mark invites only family, he will fill the room as the youngest of 9!
"We're talking about getting married in August," Wahlberg revealed at a press conference for Max Payne Sunday.
You must have a good reason for picking August, right Marky? "It's a good month." Okay!So Hollywood, pencil that in—but don't check your mailboxes for that save the date notice. Adds Wahlberg: "We're not inviting yet."
Nelly Furtado Is Back To BLACK!
I can now officially say that I HATED the blonde on Nelly Furtado because the singer has finally gone back to dark. Her eyes POP when she has black hair and everything else about her becomes so exotic. While blonde, she just seemed so washed out. Thankfully, we don't have to worry about that anymore because here she is during a sold out show at the Westpark in Amsterdam.

I'm not going to harp on it or anything so all I'm going to say is I think that dress would have looked better with her natural dark hair color. Zip. Nelly Furtado At The Vanity Fair Champagne Brunch
Nelly Furtado attended the Vanity Fair Champagne Brunch hosted by Quincy Jones this past weekend. She is so beautiful but I really wish she would go back to her natural hair color! But, she already informed us at the Grammy's that her blond hair is here to stay. Whatever her hair color, it doesn't matter, literally, every time I see Nelly, her song gets stuck in my head. It's like a knee jerk reaction, Nelly appears on T.V. and I just start singing, "I'm like a bird, I wanna fly awaaaaaay." :)
