Celebrities Attend The TV Guide Magazine's Hot List Party
Boy oh boy! The cast members of 'V' came out in full force to attend TV Guide's Hot List Party. If I'm being honest... Morena Baccarin frightens me - no matter how cute she is! LOL.
Laura Vandervoort, Kayla Ewell, Karina Smirnoff, Joel Gretsch, Lisa Edelstein, Stephanie Jacobsen, Courteney Cox, Logan Huffman, Adam Lambert, Dana Delany, Selena Gomez, Gretchen Rossi, Nia Vardalos, Cheryl Burke, Amanda Righetti, Derek Hough, Lisa Edelstein, Eva La Rue, and Jenna Elfman were also in attendance. PHEW! Talk about a mouthful.
The celebs represented a good range of programing covering favorites like 'Melrose Place', 'The Mentalist', 'America Idol', 'Cougar Town', 'Vampire Diaries' and 'Dancing with the Stars'.

Nia Vardalos Has A New Child And A New Movie
Nia Vardalos, who shot to fame as the star of 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding,' has experienced her ups and downs, but now she's back with a new child and a new film!
Nia says she now appreciates how amazing it was that 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' got made with her as the star and says her career became quiet after starring 'Connie and Carla' in 2004.
The truth is I didn’t get offered great scripts. I was losing my mojo because I had come to the end of a 10-year battle
with infertility. I didn’t feel like being on camera as I grieved. I
took some time off."
Nia also worked hard on becoming a mother. She tried surrogate motherhood and spent four years trying to adopt from multiple countries. Finally, she turned to foster adoption after finding the website adoptuskids.org.
And while Nia was filming her new movie, 'My Life in Ruins,' she and her husband, Ian Gomez, adopted a daughter.
'It was just the most amazing process,' she added. 'All of a sudden our
daughter walked in our house, and she looked up at me like, 'What’s for
lunch?' "
To preserve her preschool-age daughter's anonymity, Nia declined to reveal her name.

Nia Vardalos Tells How She Lost 40 Pounds
'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' star Nia Vardalos talked to People.com about how she shed 40 pounds. She used the old time-tested secrets: diet and exercise.
'I broke up with cheese,' Vardalos recently told PEOPLE. 'I always say
like cheese keeps calling me and trying to get me to meet at a cheap
motel but I'm really committed to just staying single for awhile. ' "
Nia did mention that she did "like, 50 other things" to lose weight, but she said cutting out cheese was the big one.
Good for her! What an accomplishment.

Nia Vardalos Adopts A Young Girl
It's been several months since Nia Vardalos and her husband adopted a little girl even though today is the first day we are hearing about it. So why tell the public now? The My Big Fat Greek Wedding star wanted to support National Adoption Month, and spread the word about AdoptUSKids.
"They are going public now to bring attention to National Adoption Month and the 500,000 children in foster care," according to a statement from Vardalos's rep. "Of these children, 129,000 are 'legally free' for adoption and waiting for a family."
No specifics have been released about the child including her name. The only thing we do know is she is under 5 years old.
John Stamos and Joely Fisher have both made statements this week about adopting in the press.
