So many celebrities were in Italy over the weekend! Tony Parker and Eva Longoria caught some sun on a boat while visiting La Spezia. Oprah unwinded in Portofino walking the streets and taking a ride on the water. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony continued their long vacation also in Portofino, doing some shopping with Jen's sister and enjoying a lovely outdoor lunch with friends and family.

I went bowling with the kids... :)

Wow. Tom Cruise laid it all out on the line with Oprah. I think he saw this as his chance to clear the air and tell his side of the story for all the bad press he's been receiving lately. It's long, so let's just jump right in!
On the couch jumping incident:

"I just felt that way, and I feel that way about her. I can't even articulate it, to be honest," he adds. That feeling, that connection. Just who she is and what she means to me."

He says that what he said about Brooke Shield's post-partum depression "came out wrong," and that the incident brought the two closer:

"What I regret is even discussing Brooke in any way."

On Scientology:

"It's a minority religion, and I think that sometimes people misinterpret [it]. I think the best thing is for people to read about it themselves. I believe people have the right to choose what they believe in. The code of Scientologists says you respect the religious beliefs of others. That's part of being a Scientologist, and that's who I am as a person."

On the leaked video in which Tom talks about Scientology. He says it was stolen:

"I was receiving an award that evening for global literacy. It was a very private moment. I'm actually talking to my congregation. It's [taken] totally out of context."

On keeping Suri hidden for so long:

"We just want to have our baby, have the kids and everyone get to know Suri, get the family up here and just chill and have that time that you never get back. You don't ever get those moments back. Kate and I didn't feel any need to [rush] it. We said, 'Why? It's our family.' We just were on Suri time."

On his marriage to Katie being fake:

"That's laughable to me. You just know that they're trying to sell it and spin it."

On his reputation:

"Listen I, I feel like definitely things have been misunderstood, and there are things I could have done better. But then there's also that world where you go, 'Oh, it's been spun to such an extent that ... that's a truth also. Knowing when and where to communicate, I think that's important. A lot of times I was nervous giving interviews. Or I wasn't sometimes as comfortable about things. And I realized that it's okay. There's stuff you have to just let go. I just have to do the best I can."

Do any of these quotes make you see Tom in a different light?

Anyone else surprised by this?  Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie came in higher on Time's Most Influential People list than Oprah.  The super hot couple ranked at #21, while Oprah was just behind them at #22.  Oh, and guess who was #59...yep, Miss Vanity Fair scandal herself, Miley Cyrus!  And Robert Downey Jr. ranked at #60.  The full list is here, but you have to individually click through all 100 hundred pictures to see who made it, so...guess who won't be doing that :)
So what do you think, is Brangelina truly more influential than Oprah...I have my doubts...

More details are coming out about Oprah's upcoming interview with Tom Cruise. After sharing a snowmobile ride together, Oprah "goes there" and asks the questions that are on everyone's mind while visiting Tom and Katie's Colorado home. Well, almost all of them.

"Scientology, his verbal smackdown with Matt Lauer on the "Today' show and, yes, the infamous couch-jumping incident."

Is gazilliontrillionbazillion a word? If so, then that's what Oprah takes home each year. According to Parade Magazine, Oprah is the biggest earner in the celebrity realm. She took in $260 million last year.

With $260 million (GBP130 million), Winfrey tops the celebrity list ahead of Scarlett Johansson, Katherine Heigl, Steven Spielberg and Miley Cyrus, who also appear among the police detectives, financial analysts and psychics on the list.

The 18 celebrities on the 2008 What People Earn list made 100 times more than the 112 'regular' people who participated in the survey. That's... nice.

Producers had to stop filming because Miss Oprah couldn't handle talking about the loss of her cocker spaniel. So sad!! I've lost several animals throughout my life. So I completely understand. Before I had my two kids, my dogs WERE my babies. :(

Sorry, my husband always makes fun of the way Oprah screams out things to her audience members. Oprah, Gayle King, and a very fashionable Jennifer Hudson joined Denzel Washington at the Los Angeles Premiere of "The Great Debaters". Nice to see Oprah out and about.
