Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt Were Very Generous In 2008
The Hollywood Reporter obtained a copy of Angelina Jolie's and Brad Pitt's 2008 tax return for the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, which is the organization the couple use to donate money.
[T]he Hollywood couple sent over $6 million to charities last year.
Indeed, they more than doubled what they gave in 2007, which is pretty impressive.
In 2008, the pair parked just over $13 million in their foundation, and gave away half of it.
The biggest recipients of their largesse were: Global Health ($2 million), Human Rights Watch ($1 million), Brad’s Make it Right Foundation ($1 million).
Some other notable contributions: $500,000 to the Armed Services YMCA of the U.S. Army; $50,000 to the Springfield, Missouri Public Schools (Brad’s hometown); and roughly a million dollars to projects in Cambodia, the country from which they adopted their first child.
It's nice to see them giving back, considering how much they probably earn for their acting!

P. Diddy Celebrates Turning 40
Some people want to go into hiding once they turn 40. Not P. Diddy (aka Sean Combs). He threw quite a party. At least, it must have been some party because he reportedly spent $3 MILLION on it.
"A source said: He really pushed the boat out for this one – and then some. It was an amazing party and Diddy was on great form."
The party was a Garden of Eden-themed bash and reportedly included 500 guests, including Jay-Z, Bono, Nelly and Denzel Washington. Al Green performed.
I wonder if Bono talked to him about what $3 million dollars could do in the fight against AIDS?
Well, it is P. Diddy's money and his party. Happy Birthday.

Joshua Jackson Will Protect Us From Aliens
In the '80's, we called on Bill Murray and Dan Akroyd to protect us from ghosts. Now in the 21st century, we can call on Joshua Jackson to protect us from... aliens. The 'Fringe' star has been tapped to star in 'UFO,' a film remake of the British TV series.
The Fringe actor will play Paul Foster, a test pilot who joins S.H.A.D.O. (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defense Organization), a covert organization built under a Hollywood studio, in UFO.
I'm not familiar with this TV series: has anyone seen it? The idea of a covert organization build under a Hollywood studio does make me smile. Maybe an alien will be some superstar?

Ashley Tisdale Performs Live At Citadel Outlets
Ashley Tisdale gave a free live performance at the Citadel Outlets during their annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. I knew that Ashley had made an album but I never really paid attention to it or listened to it. But I did some research and found this video of Ashley's performance. The video is kind of shaky, but the sound is clear.

Taylor Swift Nominated Again
Here are some pictures of Taylor Swift leaving her hotel early in the morning to a TV studio appearance before heading off to do some shopping. Later on she was photographed coming back to the hotel but before she headed inside she stopped to take pictures with a few fans.
Tonight is also a big night for Miss Swift. The American Music Awards are on and Taylor is nominated for 6 awards including artist of the year. This girl has just been sweeping up the awards lately, so I wouldn't be surprised if she picks up a few more tonight.

Katie And Suri In NYC
Katie Holmes spent the day in New York City yesterday with her daughter Suri Cruise. Katie has been busy filming 'The Romantics' in Long Island all week so I bet it was a nice break to be able to spend some one on one time with Suri.
I wonder why Suri isn't wearing a jacket. It was chilly yesterday and Katie is wearing a jacket so clearly it was cold enough to wear one. But other than that Suri is growing up to be quite the fashionista! I love seeing her cute personality through what she picks out to wear. :)

Jessica Alba Is Out And About With Honor Marie
Jessica Alba took Honor Marie out for some mother-daughter time in West Hollywood yesterday. It looks like Jessica's plan was to pick up a couple of magazines at the newsstand but Honor Marie had other plans.
Honor Marie looks like she's doing her best to go-go-go on her own two feet there- LOL. Kids at the just-walking stage are too cute!
When Jessica and husband Cash Warren attended an event celebrating photographer Mark Liddell's new book, onlookers reported that Jessica and Cash "seemed very much in love" and Jessica "talked up her daughter Honor all night."
Things seem to be going very well for Jessica these days :)
