Ellen DeGeneres Has Found That One True Love In Portia de Rossi

In December's issue of O: The Oprah Magazine, Ellen DeGeneres talks about her wife, Portia de Rossi, and her upcoming gig on American Idol.
On Portia:
"She is so beautiful and so smart and so funny," DeGeneres gushes.
She is very content with the state of things in their relationship.
"I have that sense of 'I'm done now.' I'm settled," she says. "I know that part of my life is taken care of. I've got love. I've got someone who will be with me till the day I die."
Wow, that's a powerful statement to make, especially in Hollywood where relationships don't last very long. I'm really cheering these two on, they seem so genuinely happy together.
Ellen said that the American Idol offer really shocked her.
"They came to me, and it was a total surprise," she explains. "I like to try new things because I get bored so easily. And I like the show, so I thought it was a great idea."
Are you looking forward to Ellen being on American Idol? I think it will certainly mean more humor - crossing my fingers.

No Baby Plans For Ellen DeGeneres And Portia De Rossi

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi say they have no plans to have children at the moment. In fact, the happily married couple says they enjoy raising their little animals and don't feel the need to expand any further.
"No, I don't think we're going to have kids," Ellen tells AOL's Inside/TV when asked if they were going to be moms. " We have animals, and we love them. They don't talk back, and they don't explore their vocal chords out in public."
Besides, they are both surrounded by children through their family members.
"[Portia's] brother and his wife just had a baby girl who's a month old now, and it's fun to be a part of that. But no, I think, you know, we definitely thought about it. And it's something I think most people, as a relationship goes on, explore. But it's just a huge responsibility, and I don't know that that's something we want to take on. We're very happily married without children."

Ellen DeGeneres Says She Is The Happiest She's Ever Been

Ellen DeGeneres was honored at the 20th Annual GLAAD Media Awards by winning Outstanding Talk Show Episode for her “Ellen & Portia’s Wedding Day” series.
IF you saw that episode, you cried. It was just so beautiful.
Access Hollywood caught up with Ellen and her wife Portia de Rossi on the blue carpet to see just how she felt about the experience.
“It’s just sharing the happiest day of my life,” Ellen told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson backstage. “We didn’t register, so this is nice. We get an award!”
Ellen told Access that life has never been better.
“I’m happier than I’ve ever been,” She said of her marriage to Portia. “And lucky to have found this because, I know how rare it is.”
And in other news, Lindsay Lohan is about to sit on Ellen's couch for her morinng talk show. Ellen can't wait to give Lindsay the opportunity to speak her mind.
“I’m excited. I want to hear what Lindsay has to say and [I] hope she gets back to her career,” Ellen told Shaun. “She seems to be reaching out to people lately… I hope she’s OK… she’s so talented.”
Adding, “I’m going to ask her what’s going on and let her have a platform to speak.”
Oh my goodness! I can't wait to see that interview.
Celebrities Out With Their Loved Ones

It was a weekend for love! Several celebrity couples were photographed enjoying quality time with their significant others.
Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott had dinner together at Cipriani
restaurant. Love that top Tori is wearing!
Nicky Hilton and David Katzenberg, who typically remain very low key, were spotted enjoying a day at the Coachella Music Festival. I have a feeling everyone is going to pop in at least once before the fun is over.
Last but not least, we have Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi photographed leaving Madeos after a romantic dinner together at the restaurant. I just LOVE this couple! And how unbelievably beautiful is Portia in that off the shoulder dress?
Anyone watching 'Better Off Ted'? I'm not hearing much about it which makes me nervous for the series.

Portia De Rossi And Ellen DeGeneres Out To Dinner
Now that Portia de Rossi has a new show on network television, my guess is we are going to be seeing a lot more of this happy couple. Thank goodness for Better of Ted!
Here she is out with her wife Ellen Degeneres arriving at Madeo's Restaurant. They came separately as they both have previous engagements to take care of before the relaxing meal.
Isn't Portia just BEAUTIFUL? She doesn't get enough credit in Hollywood. But the actress also has a great sense of humor! Click on the continue reading link below to see her apologizing for Prop 8 while on Jimmy Kimmel.
Ellen DeGeneres To Play Mother Nature

Yes, I can see it.
Ellen DeGeneres as Mother Nature - it's believable in a funny, quirky kind of way.
For the first time in almost 10 years (HAS IT BEEN THAT LONG?), Ellen has taken on a new movie role where we can actually see her. The last time she starred in a film was EDtv and that was in 1999. The comedian has lent her voice to Finding Nemo and Dog Show, but this is the first live-action movie Ellen has signed on for in quite some time. She must really like the script!
Ellen is due to "play the human representation of Earth’s life-giver in a new project from Walden Media - the studio behind hit children’s films Charlotte’s Web and the Chronicles of Narnia franchise".
When asked what she thought about her upcoming project, Ellen said
"I’ve always wanted to control the weather."
The as-yet-untitled project is being penned by Sex and the City writer Jenny Bicks.
Can't wait to see it!
In other news, how cute are Portia de Rossi and Ellen in that pic?!
