The Rachael Ray Show Sued By Anorexic Employee

The Rachael Ray Show Sued By Anorexic Employee

Rachael Ray’s morning talk show is facing legal action from a former employee who claims he was forced out of his job because he suffered from an eating disorder. Aaron Ferguson, an anorexia, has filed papers at Manhattan’s Supreme Court accusing bosses on Ray’s self-titled show of exhibiting "hostile behavior" and making "vile" comments about him.

Ferguson claims he was forced to quit after being with the show for just under a year because he couldn't take the atmosphere. His lawyer, William H. Kaiser, says,

"The things that were said in front of my client were hurtful, and once they knew he had a problem with it they should have stopped."

Three employees of the Rachael Ray show have been named in the suit, although the star herself is not stated as a defendant.

Rachael Ray Out In LA

Rachael Ray Out In LA

Rachael Ray made the most of her West Coast trip after flying over to attend the Daytime Emmy Awards. Here she is with her husband (who is always in the background I am noticing) doing some shopping on Robertson Blvd.

By reading the comments left on the last post, I have a feeling not many fans of Rachael Ray read INO. But I posted these anyway because it's such a rarity that this TV personality gets photographed running errands.

Rachael Ray Wins Best Talk Show (Entertainment) At Emmy Awards

Rachael Ray Wins Best Talk Show (Entertainment) At Emmy Awards

We haven't seen Rachael Ray on the red carpet in quite some time. Here she is right before taking "best talk show (entertainment)" at the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. When the Food TV star accepted her award she said,

"Holy cat. That is exciting. I really can't breathe."

Congrats!

Rosie O'Donnell Coming Back To TV Thanks To Rachael Ray

dmr_3019.jpg
Did you love the Rosie O'Donnell Show? Rachael Ray did, so her daytime show decided to bring back the Rosie show for one encore performance. On May 2nd, the "Rachael Ray" show will be transformed into the "Rosie O'Donnell Show." Rachael even brought back Rosie's old sidekick John McDaniel for the special show. Plus, Rosie and Rachael two of them took part in a dance production number to close the show. The Queen of TV also chatted with Rachael about life since leaving The View, her former co-host Barbara Walters, friend Martha Stewart, the worst guests she ever interviewed and her new crush... and its not Tom Cruise! Here are some Rosie quotes from the show until tomorrow:On the worst guests she has ever interviewed:
"I had Keanu Reeves once who totally had no interest in speaking either and it was live. So I finally said, "Keanu, I hate to tell you this, but it is a talk show. You have to talk.'"
On visiting Martha Stewart in prison:
"So I walk in looking all sloppy and out she comes looking like she's going to a photo shoot. Her hair is dyed, she's perfect in makeup. "Hey Rose it's lovely to see you.' I'm like in shock. "You know you can use mustache bleach for highlights.' She was totally perfect."
On her "new" Tom Cruise:
"I'm obsessed with Escape to Chimp Eden. There is this guy who's my new Tom Cruise. Tom knows, I wrote him an email. "Sorry it's happened, I didn't think it would.' Send."
On her time at The View:
"This is an amazing medium if you can use it in the right way. But what I learned from this is that it's much better when I'm the boss."
On Barbara Walters:
"I have nothing but respect and reverence for her, for Barbara Walters, and for who she is. A daytime talk show host, a world-renowed journalist. She has talked to every world leader, before women were not allowed to even dream of doing that. She is a hero. She's a feminist hero whether or not she knows that."
AIRDATE: Friday May 2, 2008

The Most Hated People On The Internet

Poor Rachael Ray! She literally can't get a break. Well, that is if you don't count the 75 shows, 6,431 cookbooks and 304 magazines she can claim her own. Radar Magazine has complied a list of the most hated people on the web and Miss Rachael is number 10. The rest of the list isn't that relevant to INO, unless you count "the entire cast of quarterlife" which I find pretty funny. Does that include the grips as well because that just isn't fair! ;)

The Same Question Every Interview

I feel terrible for women who decide that they don't want to have children. It's almost as if the world can't understand such a decision and in order to make sense of it all, ask "why" a million times. Perhaps it's because they don't want to.
This is TOTALLY not on the same scale - but I don't drink. And I swear I always get interrogated by a handful of people to figure me out.
"Why don't you drink? You mean you never drink? Do you not drink hard liquor or is it everything?"
UGH! Imagine how women feel when they made the decision to not become a mother, yet need to constantly justify their decision to family and friends. Now think of a celebrity woman. HOW many time are they going to ask Rachael Ray about having children? It is what it is. She doesn't want to. The. End.
"I'm too tired," Ray, 39, says in a new interview with Extra. "I feel like I'm a bad mom to my dog... I have five jobs, and I just don't think I could take on the biggest job of being a parent."

Two Cooks With Books

wenn1697309.jpg
Rachael Ray and Padma Lakshmi both took the time out to signs copies of their new cookbooks for their fans. Rachael's one thousandth hits, 'Just in Time: All-New 30-Minutes Meals, plus Super-Fast 15-Minute Meals and Slow It Down 60-Minute Meals' flew off the shelves at Sur La Table at the Miracle Mile Shops in Las Vegas, Nevada. Is it wrong that all I want to know is how much money this girl has in her bank account?! :) It's well deserved - she revolutionized cooking for the everyday cook.Over at Borders Books in Torrance, California Padma (my girl crush) signed her latest book 'Tangy Tart Hot & Sweet: A World of Recipes for Every Day'. That title is so fitting isn't it? Padma IS Tangy Tart Hot & Sweet! I need to pick that one up. The last cookbook I bought was Ina Garten's latest. Anyone own Tangy Tart? Is it worth it?
