Rachel Weisz Is Happy She's Almost 40

Rachel Weisz Is Happy She's Almost 40

Forty is a big age we're talking about today, isn't it? Well, here's someone else who doesn't mind age 40: Rachel Weisz. She said she's happy to be turning 40 next March.

"I just think that things get easier as you get older and wiser and more experienced. You get more confident about who you are as you get older. I find that really comforting."

Rachel said her twenties were her worst decade.

"Being 20 is excruciating, at least it was for me. In your thirties you get more confident about who you are and that is a relief, so imagine what the forties will be like!"

I think this is a great attitude to have!

Rachel Weisz Signs Autographs For Fans

Rachel Weisz Signs Autographs For Fans

Rachel Weisz  was seen leaving the Donmar Warehouse in London last night after another night of playing Blanche DuBois in the play 'Streetcar Named Desire'. Rachel proved to be in good spirits as she made funny faces at the paps while they snapped away and signed autographs through her car window for a few adoring fans.

Rachel recently spoke to Harper's Bazaar and gave her opinion botox

"It should be banned for actors, as steroids are for sportsmen. Acting is all about expression; why would you want to iron out a frown?"

Hilarious! I can see her point actually. Do you agree or disagree?

Paparazzi Only Photograph Rachel Weisz While Looking For Tom Cruise

Paparazzi Only Photograph Rachel Weisz While Looking For Tom Cruise

LOL!

Rachel Weisz says the she leads a pretty low-key life. In fact, the paparazzi only take her picture when they come looking for Tom Cruise and can't find him.

"Sometimes the paparazzi, on the lookout for Tom Cruise who lives
nearby, trickle onto my street, take a few pictures of me, and
disappear. But I never feel hounded. I am really not on that level of
fame. I go on the subway and I can walk my son Henry to school."

But, in all honesty, it must be nice to lead a semi-private life. Rachel's managed to get the best of both worlds -- a great career, making a very good living doing what she loves, while not having to give up her whole world to the media.

Rachel Weisz Says Family Comes First

Rachel Weisz Says Family Comes First

Rachel Weisz puts her family before work.
The ‘Brothers Bloom’ actress insists on taking long breaks between movie projects so she can spend time with her fiance Darren Aronofsky, and their son Henry.

“I used to work back to back but now I do two projects a year and take a big break in between them.”

That is the ultimate benefit to being an actress the time you can spend with your family.

Rachel and ‘The Wrestler’ director are so focused on making their relationship work they only accept work in the same country as where the other is filming to minimize any disruption for Henry.

“I have to consider where I’m travelling to if Darren’s going to be working at the same time.
“I filmed ‘Agora’ in Malta for four months and Darren edited there. I started and he came out two weeks later with his editor. Before that we were both at home in New York, so we’ve managed to keep the family together and it works.”

My family is from Malta!! More and more movies are being made there because there are parts of the island that is so untouched by time.

Rachel recently said she loves the luxury of taking Henry to work with her – but has to be careful he doesn’t receive too much attention.

"The good thing is my son gets a big welcome on my film sets. If you work in an office or a factory, your kids can't come visit you during the day. On films there's a lot of down time so he's with me a lot. The only problem is that everyone is spoiling him rotten."

LOL! I think that is a problem every parent can relate to.

Rachel Weisz Never Wanted Body Double For Nude Scenes

Rachel Weisz Never Wanted Body Double For Nude Scenes

Rachel Weisz "never thought of using a double" for nude scenes in her latest
film.
Before I even continue the rest of this story, I have to ask: Would you EVER do a nude scene in a movie?

Rachel obvious has the choice at this point in her career to bring on a double for those uncomfortable scenes, but the Oscar winning actress says she had no issues stripping down for her newest role. Rachel, who plays Greek philosopher and astronomer
Hypatia in 'Agora', prepared for her naked scenes by avoiding junk food.

When asked if she used a body double, Rachel said at the Cannes Film
Festival premiere of the movie:

"Absolutely not. It was all me, never even
thought of using a double. Although I was thinking about baby fat - but I think most of it had gone by
the time I went before the cameras."

Rachel - who has a two-year-old son Henry with fiance, director Darren
Aronofsk
y - also revealed she does yoga to help her stay trim.

Here's a little about the movie:

In 'Agora', the English actress emerges from a bath while a young slave,
played by Max Minghella, attends to her with a towel.
A love triangle forms between Hypatia, her slave and one of her students -
played by Oscar Issac.

Rachel says the relationship is not sexual.

"As far as we know she famously never had sex, she died a virgin.
But I thought she'd get at least one kiss."

'Agora' is scheduled for release in December.

Anyone want to see this one?
