Rosie O'Donnell Admits Her Partner Moved Out Two Years Ago

Rosie O'Donnell Admits Her Partner Moved Out Two Years Ago

Last month, Rosie O'Donnell publicly admitted that she and her partner of five years, Kelli Carpenter, were "working through issues." Yet on her Sirius radio show on Friday, Rosie provided a little more information: Kelli had actually moved out two years ago.

And how did Rosie come to make that admission? By talking about when she got her chihuhua to a pet psychic! The psychic told Rosie her dog was very happy with her (Rosie) and asked how she decided to get a dog.

"What happened [was] when Kelli moved out two years ago, I got the dog. Because I wanted another child or something to love. And I got the dog."

Rosie said her four children fight over caring for the dog, so it sounds like the kids stayed with her. Well, at least Rosie and Kelli were able to keep things quiet long enough to allow their kids to adjust without having to deal with all the public scrutiny.

Angelina Jolie And Rosie O'Donnell: The Dinner That Never Was

Angelina Jolie And Rosie O'Donnell: The Dinner That Never Was

Rosie O'Donnell was on the Howard Stern show this morning chit chatting about her past - including the time when Angelina Jolie passed her phone number. Not many people could say that happened right!

"She gave me her phone number," O'Donnell recalls.
"We talked on the phone two or three times, but that was that . . .There was a tentative plan to have dinner that never came through." she said.

I would have loved to be a fly on that restaurant wall. These two girls seem like complete opposites! Perhaps Angie was just a fan of her stand up routines.

Rosie also shared with Howard:

"I was a little afraid of her. She's scary in a sexual kind of way. I have dreams about her a lot still."

LOL! Join the crowd Rosie. I'm sure many men and women could say the same thing. Wonder why Rosie is talking about this experience now. It's funny how things come out years later.

Rosie O'Donnell And Her Partner Are Working Through "Issues"

Rosie O'Donnell And Her Partner Are Working Through "Issues"

This seemed like such a stable relationship for Rosie O'Donnell! Yet she seemed to confirm in a USA Today interview that she and partner Kelli Carpenter are having problems. When asked if the pair had split, this was Rosie's answer:

"We're a family. We will remain a family forever. And we are working on our issues."

Rosie declined to provide further details, saying:

"Kelli and I love each other very much and we are working on our issues. Those are the only words I am ever going to say. Ever. And that is something that has been agreed upon by all parties," she said, tears collecting in her eyes.

"But everything's fine and everybody's good and we're still both raising them together. We will both continue to parent them and we're friendly and everything's all right."

The pair have four children: Parker (14), Chelsea (12), Blake (9), and Vivienne (Viv, age 6).

"We're a family, we remain a family and we're working on the issues," O'Donnell reiterated, noting that there are four children whose well-being comes before anything.

"They're adorable and wonderful and they are by far a priority," O'Donnell said.

Rosie and Kelli married in San Francisco in 2004. Rosie would not confirm (or, it sounds like, deny) reports that Kelli had moved out of their home and was living in Manhattan.

Hopefully they are able to do what's best for themselves and their family.

Star Jones And Rosie O'Donnell Do Lunch For Charity

Star Jones And Rosie O'Donnell Do Lunch For Charity

Quick: look outside the window for winged pigs! The View alums Star Jones and Rosie O'Donnell have decided to put their longstanding feud behind them and auction off a lunch (with the two of them) for the Figure Skating in Harlem "Skating with the Stars" gala.

The lunch should be interesting: O'Donnell famously called Jones
"delusional" in 2006 for telling fans she lost weight through exercise
and diet alone. Jones -- who was replaced by O'Donnell on The View -- later admitted she had gastric bypass surgery.

The auction winner and a guest will be able to ask Jones and O'Donnell any questions they want. The prize is good for one year."

Good for them for putting their differences aside for charity!  What would you pay for that lunch?

Rosie O'Donnell On Madonna And Menopause

Rosie O'Donnell On Madonna And Menopause

Rosie O'Donnell did the Tyra Banks show the other day and boy did she ever keep things interesting. She mentioned that Madonna is mentoring her through menopause and adds that she's quitting alcohol for her son. Crazy quotes ahead so sit down and buckle up. :)

On stopping drinking:

I
stopped drinking on December 1st.
It has not been easy…On November
29th, I was with my son, who is now 13, and I said to him, ‘Park, can
you get me a beer?’ And he said, ‘No I don’t want to.’ And I said,
‘Really why not?’ And he says, ‘Because you know what, I think you
drink too much beer...Lately I think it’s too much.’ I said, ‘You know
when I was a kid, when I was 22, I stopped drinking for like eight
years.’  He goes, ‘Well maybe you should do that again.’ I go, ‘Well
honey what happens if I can’t do that?’ He say, ‘There’s a drunk club,
I forget what it’s called, but you have to like be really drunk to get
in, I don’t know if they’d let you in, but you could ask them for
tips.’”

On Madonna:

“She’s
[Madonna] great, she’s a lot like a big sister. When I started having
my hormone things, I’m like, ‘What the hell is going on?’ send, she’s
like, ‘Get the cream’ send.”

Lots more, keep reading!

Rosie O'Donnell Talks About Her Upcoming Movie Called America

Rosie O'Donnell Talks About Her Upcoming Movie Called America

Rosie O’Donnell gave a really honest interview to TV Guide Magazine and opened up about her experience with child abuse and why her upcoming Lifetime movie “America” hits so close to home.

On the film:

“‘America’…is about the struggle that an estimated half million kids in this country face, languishing in the foster care system. It took six years to get made because a movie about foster care isn’t high on the priority list”

“The movie is very close to my heart because I was a foster parent in Florida—until this November, gay people weren’t allowed to adopt there. And I identify with America because after my mom died, I was an abused child.”

On her character, Dr. B (America’s therapist at a treatment facility for foster kids):

“I had a person like Dr. B in my life…a teacher named Pat Marvel. She took me into her home and became like a mother to me after I ran away. She totally saved me.”

On her motivations and aspirations:

“I believe the foster care system is severely broken and to put a face on this unknown epidemic [is] very important. I think you have a responsibility, if what you’re doing means something to you, to help people through your art.”

“I hope this movie encourages the nation to step up to the plate and handle this epidemic...because it’s a tragedy.”

For more details pick up the February 16th issue of TV Guide Magazine (on newsstands Thursday, February 12th).

Anyone looking forward to seeing this film?

Celebrities Attend Rosie's Gala: Building Dreams For Kids

She's baaaaccccckkkkkkkk.....

Rosie O'Donnell hosted her annual, "Rosie's Gala: Building Dreams for Kids" event at the Marriott Marquis in NYC last night. Quite a few friends of Rosie's showed up to help support the event and the children it benefits. Amongst them were:

  1. Rachael Ray
  2. Fran Drescher
  3. Clay Aiken
  4. Jane Fonda

Who's look did you like the most? Personally, I think Rachael's dress is quite lovely but Jane is always the Queen Bee. :)

We should expect to see a lot more of Rosie from now on considering she has a new network show to promote
