Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish have finally taking their romance public after months of speculations of about what was going on between the two of them. He accompanied her to the 2008 Australian in Film Breakthrough Awards.

"They were adorable," says a guest. "He had his arm around her and they were cozy and comfortable."

When Cornish – who was being honored with a Breakthrough Award – was introduced, Phillippe rubbed her back while she leaned against his shoulder. Throughout the evening, they held hands.

I'm glad both he and Reese Witherspoon have been able to move on civilly, without nasty public comments and things of that nature, as we have seen with so many other celebrity divorces. What do you think about Ryan and Abbie as a couple?

I choked up a bit when I read this. Ryan Phillippe was asked by Howard Stern what he thought about Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan answered respectfully. I think think it is such a shame that Ryan and Reese Witherspoon couldn't work things out - but so is life. In the end, they have kids and will be a part of one another's lives until the end.

"He's a good dude," Phillippe said on The Howard Stern Show Thursday. "I love her and I want her to be happy, and it seems like she is."

Ryan Phillippe has revealed that he was a physical and emotional wreck after Reese Witherspoon filed for divorce in 2006 citing irreconcilable differences. Ryan said,

"After the divorce I was a physical wreck. I wanted to die. I was ready to kill myself. I was not taking care of myself at all. I would wake up and cry and vomit."

Reese also recently revealed how she couldn't get out of her car after the divorce and how she felt a loss of identity. Looks like they both went through a lot. :( And I am sure it is no where near done with.

We can put Internet rumors to rest that Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe are attempting another go at their marriage. Ryan told The NY Post, "It's not true." Perhaps that's because Reese is too busy hanging with Jake Gyllenhaal to give her soon-to-be ex another chance.

Ryan Phillippe ran a few errands with children Ava and Deacon in tow. Ava looks like she is holding a hockey trophy (at least that's what I am making it out to be). Ryan is looking rather scruffy these days. That beard has to be more than a week old. I guess he is enjoying his time off with his children and in no mood to maintain.
