Ryan Reynolds arrives to tape a segment for 'It's On with Alexa Chung!', an MTV show hosted by Alexa Chung in NYC. Ryan is there to promote his new film 'The Proposal', also starring Sandra Bullock. Ryan is looking mighty hunky in this picture set, don't you think?

I included pictures of Alexa arriving in case you don't know who she is. She's mostly famous for her weird and fun fashion and modeling career, but Wikipedia also tells me she's a pretty famous talkshow host in London.

'It's On with Alexa Chung!' is MTV's version of a talk show for a younger audience. Did anyone catch the premiere? Is it worth watching?

“If you take any of that sex symbol stuff seriously, you need to be euthanized – ASAP! There are moments when you can use that to your advantage. But it’s really embarrassing. I think I fear more than anything just sounding like a complete a**hole when I have to answer that question.”

*Ryan Reynolds on sex symbol status. Kind of funny considering that he's married to one of the biggest sexy symbols of our generation. :)

The only similar thing about these two is that they are both in the public eye and both were photographed entering/leaving hotels, but hey!

Yes, I realize that Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock are the real stars of 'The Proposal. And yes, it would have made complete sense if I put one of their photos as the headline for this post.

But come on! It's Betty White!!  

How could she NOT be the lead in for this story. I love that Golden Girl! :)

The world premiere took place at The El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. By the looks of it, Sandra had a lot of fun with Anne Fletcher on the red carpet. Those two must be good friends off screen.

Sandra Bullock's new film, 'The Proposal,' is not remarkable only because it is Sandra's first romantic comedy in five years. It's also remarkable because it contains Sandra's first nude scene.

'Sadly, my first and last nude scene got laughs, so I had to be very secure with that,'she said Sunday at the film's press junket. 'It was all about choreography. I mean, literally when you read it on the page, you saw it, and then you realized, 'OK, there is no way to shoot this unless you are buck naked!' Then I went, 'Go to the gym, cut out the carbs!'"

I wonder if it was better or worse that she had to film the scene with her co-star Ryan Reynolds? Sandra said it took three days to film and required over a dozen takes (which actually doesn't sound like a lot of takes given that it was three days ;)

'I'm glad it made people laugh,' she said. 'Shooting it was odd. There are things stuck to areas that generally you don't have things [stuck to]. I mean, you have things covering [your body], but not stuck to it. And then they got unstuck, and oddly we didn't care because we were so tired.'

Added Reynolds, 'Yeah, at that point, shame is gone completely. The weirdest part is calling your mom nude on set: 'Hey, just checking in!'"

LOL!

Are you looking forward to Sandra's new film? I love Sandra and having Ryan as her co-star certainly doesn't hurt ;)

He's joking... I think. Either way, it's a great lead in for the rest of the story.

Ryan Reynolds "claims" he proposed to Scarlett Johansson by text message. The ‘Proposal’ star says he struggled to find the words to write while using his phone.

“The hardest part was to compress all of that love, all of that joy into just one text message. And then it was just hitting send.”

LOL!

The actor also spoke about his “ridiculous” sex scenes with Sandra Bullock in ‘The Proposal’, admitting he is nervous about her husband Jesse James seeing the movie. He added to  ‘Access Hollywood’:

“If I didn’t know Sandra Bullock completely before, I do now. I know her in ways that her husband Jesse James would turn me into some sort of flying curd cottage cheese-type pudding if he knew. It’s pretty incredible.

“It’s actually ridiculous. Not only are you naked, you’re doing a stunt as well. It’s like expertly lit Cirque de Soleil porn.”

LOL! I can just HEAR Ryan saying those words. He's funnier than people give him credit for.

However, Ryan insists he was comfortable with the intimate scenes because he and Sandra are such good friends. 

“She and I have known each other for eight or nine years, so we had this friendship already. The movie is kind of our chemistry in real life.”

Despite being at ease with his co-star, Ryan took steps to ensure he looked good on camera.

“I was training for a marathon at the time, so that was my workout. I had to do these six or seven mile runs every morning. That was enough.”

Yeah... that was most certainly enough. Ryan shirtless = YUM!

Ryan Reynolds is one of the hottest leading guys of our time! He lands hysterical roles in big movies and is married to Scarlett Johansson. Life really couldn't get much better!

He recently sat down and talked to Elle Magazine.

He talks about how he relates to his character from X-Men:

“He relies on humor to get through a situation. But he’s also borderline insane. And I like that about him,” Reynolds says. “I wouldn’t want to be Superman. He’s such a wanker.”

On his break-up with Alanis Morissette:

“I started to feel really reflective,” he says. “I really wanted absolute yesses in my life, as opposed to maybes.” 

And he's says he's not that funny guy we all think:

“It’s very easy to fall in line and do the same thing over and over again,” he says as we’re getting up from lunch. “You get rewarded for that greatly. But I’m not always jokey. I’m not a hysterical guy to sit and have lunch with all the time. I’m a moody bastard, too.”
