Jessica Simpson Can Still Trust People
Despite being embarrassed and betrayed by ex-boyfriend John Mayer, Jessica Simpson told Ryan Seacrest it hasn't made her more suspicious of people in general.
"I'm not as guarded as you would think. I should probably be more guarded. I trust a lot of people, actually," the actress and singer, 29, told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show Tuesday morning.
Although she also made it clear she's still upset about John's comments and hasn't forgiven him yet. I don't blame her for that, but I'm glad to hear it hasn't made her withdraw from people.
Here Jessica is looking pretty upbeat as she arrived at JFK airport yesterday.

David Letterman's Blackmailer Pleads Guilty
Robert Halderman has plead guilty to attempted grand larceny for trying to blackmail David Letterman out of $2 million dollars.
Halderman will serve six months in jail and have five years of probation. He has to complete 1,000 hours of community service in the form of helping young adults newly out of prison and also help formerly homeless people with literary and vocational skills.
The Manhattan District Attorney praised David for coming forward and not giving in to the demands:
"Mr. Letterman is a public figure, but like all New Yorkers he has a right to a certain degree of privacy in his personal life. By not giving in to the defendant's extortionate demands for millions of dollars, and instead taking the courageous step of reporting the crime to law enforcement, Mr. Letterman risked the disclosure of certain aspects of his private life. I commend Mr. Letterman for making the difficult but unquestionably right decision to report this crime to my office and thank him for his full and complete cooperation throughout the investigation and prosecution of the case. "

Academy Won't Apologize For Farrah Fawcett Snub
There was some buzzing this morning about the fact that Farrah Fawcett was not recognized in the "In Memoriam" montage at the Academy Awards last night. Some thought it must have been a mistake, but that's not the case.
A spokeswoman for the Academy:
I would not say that it was an oversight," Leslie Unger, spokeswoman for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, tells E! News. "No matter how carefully and how conscientiously people address who is included, there are people who just simply can't be. In any given year there will always be some people that other people think should have been included and that there's more justification for one person versus another," says Unger. "It is impossible to include everybody."
Craig Nevius, a close friend of Farrah's is not buying it:
how you can discount Extremities [which earned her a Globe nom for Best Actress in a Drama], The Apostle [which earned her an Independent Spirit nom for Best Supporting Actress] and Dr. T and the Women, I don't know.
Some are disgruntled, saying that the Academy made sure Michael Jackson was included when he had a much smaller resume than Farrah.

Christian Bale Hasn't Spoken To Family For 18 Months
You might recall that in July of 2008 Christian Bale had an argument with his mother and sister that ended with Christian being questioned by police. There was a lot of speculation as to what the fight was about, but it was never confirmed. In the end, Christian was cleared of all charges. Since the argument, it seems that Christian has cut his mother and sister from his life.
His mother Jenny says she has no idea as to why he has ignored all attempts she has made contact him since the argument on the night of the premiere of his movie ‘The Dark Knight’.
She said:
“He's not talking to us, it's not the other way round. He has changed his phone numbers, and he ignores the letters, emails and birthday cards I send. “As awful as that night was, and although I rack my mind every day about what could have made him behave like that, I'd happily forget it happened if we could go back to being a family. That's the most important thing. We miss Christian terribly. But it's been more than 18 months now and it's hard to see how this will ever end.”
According to Jenny and her daughter Sharon, they are still unsure why Christian – who has a four-year-old daughter Emmeline with wife Sibi Blazic - “exploded with anger” and had them thrown out of his hotel shortly before the premiere.
Kate Moss Refuses To Invite Sienna Miller To Easter Party
Kate Moss has reportedly banned Sienna Miller from her Easter party.
The supermodel has invited Jude Law- who recently rekindled his romance with the ‘Factory Girl’ star – to next month’s lavish bash, but warned him his girlfriend is not welcome.
“Since getting back together with Jude, Sienna was looking forward to spending Easter with his family and friends. Kate always throws a huge Easter party, which includes an Easter egg hunt during the day, followed by a party in the evening just for adults.
“This year, Kate is having an extravagant ‘Alice in Wonderland’-themed night. But she has told Jude that he can’t bring Sienna to the bash.”
Friends of Kate – who is a close pal of Sienna’s ex-boyfriend Rhys Ifans – including her boyfriend Jamie Hince and Jude’s ex-wife Sadie Frost have tried to convince her to change her mind, but she is refusing to reverse her decision. The source added to the Daily Star newspaper:
“Jamie, Jude and Sadie have all asked Kate to invite Sienna but she won’t budge, saying she is not welcome and that’s final.
“Kate’s a very loyal friend and doesn’t want Rhys to have to spend time with a girl who broke his heart.”
Should Kate let this go? Or is she right to stick up for Rhys?

Naomi Campbell Speaks Out About Alleged Assault
Naomi Campbell has given a statement to Access Hollywood regarding the alleged assault she was involved in.
Earlier today the NYC driver who accused her of attacking him, apologized and said of the situation that he had:
“blown out of proportion”
He said he was sorry to Naomi
“for causing that to happen.”
Naomi released a statement saying that her past is being held against her unfairly:
On Tuesday, March 2nd, I was accused of unacceptable behavior towards a driver in New York,” she said in a statement to Access Hollywood. “I have worked very hard on correcting my previous wrongdoings and I will not be held hostage to my past. I try to treat everyone with respect and I am pleased the driver has apologized. I would like to put the last few days behind me and move on.”
What do you think about the situation? It seems weird that he'd go to the police with "wounds" and then later say he just blew things out of proportion? Maybe he's a bit of a drama queen? lol I'm sure she'll be glad to put this incident behind her.

Woman Claims 'Bachelor' Jake Cheated On Vienna With Her
While 'The Bachelor' Jake Pavelka and fiancee Vienna Girardi make the media rounds, claiming they've been sneaking around to be together ("illegally," since ABC wants them to stay apart until the reveal to avoid blowing the surprise), and Jake declaring he knew Vienna was "the one" before they jumped into bed together, another woman is coming forward with her own allegations.
[A]n ex-girlfriend says that Jake made contact with her after taping, told her that he still loved her and that all the women on the show, including Vienna, meant nothing to him.
In the [radio] interview, the woman says that Jake was forced to propose to Vienna. "When you get down on one knee and propose marriage to someone I take that very seriously," she says, with the audio distorted. "The fact that he did that exclusively because he was instructed to do that, it disappoints me so much.
"What I'm saying now has absolutely nothing to do with him and it has gotten so bad and enough people know that we were dating, he came to my hometown, met my family, met my friends and deceived everyone. And I feel like I'm forced to say something for the sole purpose of defending my honor."
