Sean Penn's Son Arrested

Sean Penn’s teenage son was reportedly arrested last week. 16-year-old Hopper was allegedly taken into custody by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department after offices visited his high school in Malibu.

Because he is a minor, authorities have not released details as to why he was arrested or if any charges have been made.

The news of Hopper’s reported arrest comes weeks after Hopper’s mother Robin filed for divorce from Sean, citing "irreconcilable differences".

In April, Sean filed for separation from Robin but a month later asked California's Marin County Superior Court to dismiss the case claiming it was an "arrogant mistake".

Looks like we aren't going to get more details on this one. I just hope this family finds some peace. There seems to be a lot of negative things happening in their world as of late.

Robin Wright Penn Talks About Her Divorce

Robin Wright Penn Talks About Her Divorce

Robin Wright Penn and Sean Penn have been through a lot and I'm sure it's terribly hard to go through a divorce in the public eye. Robin filed for divorce in August for what just might be the final time. She shared some insight into starting her life fresh.

"New beginnings, definitely," she tells Redbook in its November issue, out Oct. 27. "For me, my career too. My kids are older now

She realizes they can't exactly keep their divorce out of the public but she doesn't feel obligated to share the details with the media.

"It never [feels good]," she says of their public split. "Yes, it's divorce; it's a given that it will be public. But … it's so disrespectful. 'You're an actress, you owe us this?' 'F--- you,' is what I say."

Asked if she'd remain friends with her ex, with whom she has two children, she answered, simply: "Yeah."

Currently Robin is keeping busy filming "The Conspirator". She's also one of the voices in the upcoming A Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey. I'm very excited about seeing that one in 3D!

Robin Wright Penn Files For Divorce

Robin Wright Penn Files For Divorce

The on-again, off-again couple is apparently off-again. After two splits (with two filings of divorce papers) and their last reconciliation in May, Robin Wright Penn filed divorce paperson August 12.

Some people were saying her comments in More magazine about her marriage were made before they reconciled last May but maybe not. Here's what Robin told More:

[T]he actress told More magazine that she had no plans to
reconcile with her husband. "I hit that crossroad a while ago," she
said. "I know what I don't want."

[F]riends tell More
magazine for its September issue that the couple had a "peculiar
chemistry." Penn Wright herself said, "I, we, have two amazing children
we raised together."

Their two children are nearly adults: Dylan Frances (18) is heading off to college this fall while Hopper Jack (16) will soon do the same.

Robin and Sean Penn started dating in 1989 and married in 1996, so I can see where it would be hard to make the final break. Hopefully they will be able to do what is best for themselves and their family.

Sean Penn Is Taking A Break From Hollywood

Sean Penn Is Taking A Break From Hollywood

Sean Penn has pulled out of two films because he wants to take a break from Hollywood.
The Oscar-winning ‘Milk’ star has decided against appearing in ‘The Three Stooges’ and crime thriller ‘Cartel’, so he can focus on his family.
The actor’s representative Mara Buxbaum said:

“We informed both productions that Sean was not available now. If, for whatever reason, the start dates on these productions were to be postponed, Sean would happily remain involved.”

It must be really important for Sean to take this break as these two movies would have earned him millions and millions of dollars.

The news of Sean’s hiatus – which is of an undetermined length of time – comes nearly two months after he filed to legally separate from his wife of 13 years, Robin Wright Penn.
Less than four weeks after filing his initial claim on April 24, citing “irreconcilable differences”, he withdrew it again saying he had made an “arrogant mistake”.

The 48-year-old actor and Wright, 43 – who have two children together, daughter Dylan Francis, 18, and son Hopper Jack, 15 – also separated between December 2007 and April 2008.

Penn was due to play Larry in ‘The Three Stooges’ - a film based on the US comedy trio which sees Jim Carrey cast as Curly and Benicio del Toro as their other brother Moe.

Shooting is due to start on in August, but Sean’s decision has thrown the future of the project in jeopardy.

Universal Studios, which is behind ‘Cartel’, have already announced they will be recasting Sean’s role.
The film’s plot follows a man who does everything he can to protect his son after his wife is murdered by Mexican drug cartels.

Sean Penn And Robin Wright Reconcile... Again

Sean Penn And Robin Wright Reconcile... Again

Well, you can't say these two aren't trying to work things out! Sean Penn reportedly filed a request today to dismiss his legal separation case, according to Marin County, CA court records.

'This appears to imply that they're reconciling again,' says L.A.
divorce lawyer Lynn Soodik, who is not involved with the case. 'It's
unlikely Sean Penn would request a dismissal for any other reason.' "

Robin Wright Penn is currently in Cannes as a juror. The couple first filed for divorce in December 2007 after eleven years of marriage but stopped the proceedings in April 2008.

Hopefully these two will be able to work things out!

Sean Penn Files For Divorce From Wife For The Second Time

Sean Penn Files For Divorce From Wife For The Second Time

Sean Penn has a little bit of a reputation as a ladies' man. But, he seemed to settle down when he married Robin Wright. The couple walked down the aisle in 1996, and then filed for divorce in '07. They got back together though, and decided to give it another try.

I guess it didn't work out. Sean Penn just filed for divorce again.

Last time they filed, the couple sought joint custody of the kids, which will likely be the case again this time.

At least they gave it their best shot. :(

Hopefully this won't turn into a public battle or anything, like Mel Gibson and his wife fighting for their billions!
