The 2009 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards

Kerry Washington, Andie MacDowell, Iman, Serena Williams, Stella McCartney, Amanda Righetti, Amy Poehler, Katharine McPhee, and Lisa Ling attended the 2009 Glamour Women of the Year Awards last night in NYC.
Best quote of the night came from Amy when she received her award from 'Saturday Night Live' producer Lorne Michaels. She said:
"Girls, if boys say something that's not funny, you don't have to laugh."
Words to live by! :)
All kidding aside, there was some wonderful inspiration spoken last night at the ceremony.
Maya Angelou: Women are rainbows in the clouds. I am grateful to be a woman. I must have done something great in another life."
Serena Williams: "You can do whatever you want to do. The most important belief is self-belief."
Congratulations to all the 2009 winners.

Serena Williams Is Obsessed With Victoria Beckham

Serena Williams is inspired by Victoria Beckham's style.
Serena says that she's obsessed with Victoria's hair styles.
"I love Posh. She's my icon when it comes to hair. "I love her hair, it's always amazing, she's just revealed a new tousled look and I'm obsessed with it already.
She's speaking of the hairstyle shown here. I think this is one my favorite styles of Victoria's, too.
Serena also added:
"I just really love the Spice Girls, I always have. 'Girl Power!'"
Do you look to Victoria for hair inspiration? I'll admit that her hair and clothing styles look amazing on her. I'm just not so sure how they'd look on me.

Gucci toasted the evening with a private in-store cocktail party co-hosted by Mary J. Blige with guests including Alicia Keys, Estelle, Devon Aoki, Leigh Lezark, Serena Williams, Mark Ronson, Donald Trump, Russell Simmons and Lebron James.
In honor of Gucci for FFAWN Day, Mary J. Blige hosted a lighting ceremony at the Empire State Building earlier in the day to light the world-famous icon in FFAWN’s colors—purple, yellow and white.
I always love to find out the meaning behind the Empire State Building's colors.
