As you all know, I love celebrity websites where they can communicate with their fans directly! Shania Twain posted a letter to her fans on her website, apologizing for not releasing new music lately, but she explains that she has been "side-tracked this year."
... I've been inspired by my pain to write and use writing as a
therapy through the suffering... [I]t's been a productive period with so much
emotion trying to find it's way out. However, there is no telling how
long it will take me to actually finish these songs and record them so
they can get out to you.... [H]ealing is serious business and has taken a lot of the
wind out of my sails, slowing me down at times. ... [A]ll my energy goes to making sure my [son] is healthy and
happy in every way. This is a full time job...but especially difficult when you are battling your own personal crisis
at the same time while trying to spare your child of being affected by
your own suffering."

It's completely understandable that she's taking her time, but I bet she'll have some amazing music when she's finished!

Shania Twain Lands In NYC With A Surprising Guest
First, country music star Shania Twain made a surprise appearance at the Country Music Awards last month, and now she has a surprising guest along with her on her trip to New York City: Frederic Thiébaud.
Frederic is a surprise because of who he is: the ex-husband of Shania's ex-best friend, Marie-Anne Thiébaud, who is now said to be dating Shania's soon-to-be ex-husband, Robert "Mutt" Lange. The relationship between Marie-Anne and Mutt is rumored to be the reason Shania and Mutt's split.
The two couples had socialized together for years. "
Frederic is one of a group of friends who travelled to NYC with Shania for the weekend "to hang and shop."

The Other Woman Speaks!
Deny! Deny! Deny! The other woman that allegedly cheated with Shania Twain's husband speaks and what she says is expected. Don't believe what you read.
Speaking for the first time since the news of the alleged affair became
public, Marie-Anne Thiébaud, 37, told PEOPLE, "You cannot believe
everything you read in the press." When asked directly if she had an
affair with Twain's husband, music producer Robert "Mutt" Lange, she
replied, "No."
Well, Shania is continuing to believe as she is still in Canada with family healing from this mess.
Affair Causes Shania Twain To Divorce Her Husband
I don't particularly love to speculate about these things, but People is running the story and they are generally an extremely reliable source. They're claiming that Shania Twain's soon to be ex-husband, Robert Lang, was having an affair with his secretary.
Sources close to the situation say a third party was involved: Marie-Anne Thiébaud, a longtime secretary and manager of the couple’s chateau in Switzerland. "Mutt and Marie-Anne left their spouses for each other and are still in a relationship," says one source.
Robert has denied that's true.
"It's absolutely not the reason [for the separation]," the famously reclusive producer told PEOPLE when asked about the alleged affair. He also denied that he was in a romantic relationship with Thiébaud: "I'm not, no," he said. "It's not true."
And, of course, Shania is devestated. Who wouldn't be?
"This came out of left field ... She loved him."
For now, she has a group of close friends and family supporting her and helping her get through this.
Shania Twain And Husband Split
NO! Shania Twain and her husband have decided to divorce after 14 years of marriage. Obviously, we won't learn why considering Shania is an extremely private person. Whatever the reason, Shania seems like such a wonderful person so warmest wishes to her family.
"Shania Twain and her husband, music producer Robert 'Mutt' Lange, are separating after 14 years of marriage," spokesman Jason Owen says in a statement. "This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time."
