Stories about Sheryl Crow

Cancer Made Sheryl Crow Understand True Friendship

"If I was angry or sad, I let myself cry. I spent days crying. I allowed myself to open up. I used to think people only loved me when I was achieving, and I began to understand that the real people - my close friends and family - loved me whatever."

Hot New Couple Alert: Sheryl Crow and John Cassimus

Hot New Couple Alert: Sheryl Crow and John Cassimus

For so long I really thought that Sheryl Crow and Lance Armstrong would go the distance. But, now that those two are over each other and have moved on, I've really been hoping Sheryl would find true love. She's been through so much!

These days rumor has it that Sheryl is dating businessman/musician, John Cassimus. He's cute, and if you ask me, he looks sort of like Lance. Am I wrong? See his picture here.

When asked about the relationship, Sheryl said,

"I never talk about my private life with a reporter or anybody else. Thank you for being interested, but my private life is not for public consumption."

Jennifer Aniston Dumped Brad Pitt

"For both of us, the perceived idea is that, in our big relationships, we both got dumped. Believe me, this is not true. Neither one of us has ever gotten dumped. No one ever knows what goes on in relationships."
"Unfortunately, for some people like Jennifer and me, so much is written about things that you don't say, and so many emotions are attributed to you that you haven't had."

-- Sheryl Crow talking about the misconception that Jennifer Aniston got dumped by Brad Pitt
And while we are talking about Jen, remember those pictures of Jen back in February riding around with a mystery man? It turns out he was a grip on Traveler. They met in Vancouver and he plans to stay in touch with her while she films in Miami. However, when asked about the relationship, Brian Bourma said, "I don't want to talk about that..".

Sheryl Crow Arriving To The Late Show With David Letterman

I have to admit... I've always loved Sheryl Crow and her music. But as she's gotten older my adoration has only grown. Here she is arriving to "The Late Show With David Letterman" wearing her trademark jeans and tee. I'm sure it's going to be a big year for her now that her CD, "Detours" was just released today. Add that to her upcoming publicity tour and the fact that her son is getting older and you got yourself one heck of a fantastic life.  I wish her luck with trying to juggle all that.

Sheryl Crow Says "It's Like Christmas Every Day" With New Son Wyatt

LOVE HER! Sheryl Crow sat down with TV Guide to talk about her participation in the upcoming concert, A Home for the Holidays, airing tonight at 8PM EST on CBS.  She opened up about how she doesn't watch Idol (what?!), her new cd coming out in February and taking little Wyatt on the road.
---
TV Guide: This is your third time performing at this concert... .
Sheryl Crow: I love the premise. To me it's the perfect Christmas show, because it's about sharing love and family time, and all the wonderful things that I think Christmas is based on. It's wonderful to be a part of a show that is doing such great work.
TV Guide: Does it resonate even more this year, since you've adopted?
Crow: Absolutely. I've always believed that love is love, no matter what shape or size or color it comes in. But now to have experienced adopting a little boy and really knowing that I couldn't love [him] any deeper even if I had him myself, I think that's the story of adoption.
TV Guide: Do you see yourself as a role model, adopting as a single woman at 45?
Crow: I don't know. These decisions are such personal decisions, but if somebody else looks at it and says, "Well, she did it, I can do it," that's fantastic. But that never has or would weigh in to the decisions I've made.
TV Guide: How do you think you would fare if you were just starting out in today's music biz?
Crow: Oh my gosh. Well, it's hard to say. I know that right now, in this moment in our history, people are slower to discover music. It's much more about the wide immediate audience that a show like American Idol can bring. It's much more about writing music that's based in entertainment than it is lyric-oriented music. I wouldn't even have made it through the auditions for American Idol. [Laughs]
TV Guide: Are you an Idol fan?
Crow: I have not seen it. I don't really sit down and watch TV. I watch the evening news, NBC with Brian Williams, for 30 minutes, because it's just too much after a while and it desensitizes you. But on occasion I watch Grey's Anatomy.
TV Guide: What can you tell us about Detours, your new CD out in February?
Crow: The idea behind it is that throughout our lives we're taken on journeys that lead us away from who it is we see ourselves to be. But [often] those experiences will lead us back. In my personal life in the last three years, I've been on some journeys that have brought me to this point right here, where I'm a mom, I'm healthy, and I feel like I have much more insight.
TV Guide: You battled breast cancer in 2006. Did that contribute to the record at all?
Crow: It contributed to the way I look at my life now. I think those moments really dictate that you define or refine how it is that you want to live the rest of your life. It certainly did for me. It taught me about learning to say no and putting myself first.
TV Guide: How are you feeling now?
Crow: I'm doing great. I'm looking forward to playing new music, and having my son out on the road. He's already been [on tour] once, when he was like 4 weeks old. He slept most of the time, but he was great!

LeAnn Rimes, Martina McBride, Kellie Pickler and Sheryl Crow all attended the 41st Annual Country Music Association Awards. Yes, that is Kellie Pickler... from American Idol. Completely unrecognizable! She looks so... so... mature.

Sheryl Crow Launching New Denim Line

Add designer to the long list of accomplishments  Sheryl Crow should be proud of. The new mom is working with Canadian clothing manufacturer Western Glove Works and is due to launch late next year! There is no word on what stores will carry her line. But expect to pay between $20 and $65 for an item.

Sheryl Crow In Shape Magazine

Sheryl Crow graced the cover of Shape Magazine (looking out of this world amazing, do I even need to say it?) for their October issue. She talked about some of the blows life has dealt her (a public breakup with Lance Armstrong, and finding out she had breast cancer). After examining her life again she says,
"Looking back, I realize I wasn't focusing enough on myself. Women are usually the nucleus of the family. We're the nurturers and
the caregivers. And unfortunately we tend to give the least amount of
nourishment to ourselves."

I know I can definitely identify with that quote and for some reason I have a feeling that this rings true for a lot of readers. We could all learn a little something from Sheryl...so to all you super women out there...cut yourselves some slack every once in a while and take a little time for you!

Sheryl Crow Takes Wyatt Out

I am actually surprised that Sheryl Crow is using a Graco. It's actually the stroller that I have. Celebrities are typically photographed using high end strollers like Bugaboo. Here she is taking Wyatt out for a nice stroll. She must really be enjoying these first few moments with her  child. You can see more pictures of Sheryl feeding her son here.

Sheryl Crow's Charitable Donation

Yesterday, I posted the cover of Ok Magazine featuring Sheryl Crow with her son, Wyatt. It sparked a "baby buying" and "publicity seeking" debate amongst my readers. Today, Sheryl explains why she decided to give OK magazine the exclusive. Read below.
---
Hi Everyone!
Well, as you no doubt have seen, Wyatt and I did our first, and probably only, photoshoot for a magazine. I have always made it a practice to keep my private life out of the public light but to be honest, I was being heavily stalked by photographers who wanted the get the "first shot." And rather than have someone I don't know sell a shot to a magazine, we accepted OK magazine's offer to make a generous donation to an amazing organization called the World Food Program in Wyatt's name.. (Please visit their site by clicking on the name or pasting this in your browser http://www.wfp.org)
So....Wyatt is now a humanitarian! Because he and I happened to catch an interview with Drew Barrymore on the Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer about this organization, we were inspired to get involved with the WFP.
In a nutshell,  this United Nations non-profit organization feeds millions of starving children at schools in third world countries as an incentive for them to attend school, which in turn might better their futures. They do so much more but I was so struck by this story that our relationship with the WFP was born, with the help of OK Magazine.
Hope you enjoy!
