Former supermodel, Iman, has been in the business of makeup for quite a few years and she recently launched an accessories line. She invited INO to her Manhattan office to preview this collection, as well as the latest installment in her handbag collection. If you're been living under a rock, Iman is married to David Bowie and has maintained a successful career in fashion since her supermodel days. She is CEO of Iman Global Chic, her own company and is the mother of two girls. Iman was clad in all black from her strong shouldered Zara blazer and Prada sweater, to her patent leather pumps. Her jewelry line is inspired by her many travels and her own personal collection. She wanted to make jewelry that would make a statement in an exotic manner. Her collection includes rings, cuffs, bracelets, necklaces and watches. I asked Iman what her favorite piece is and she responded that she loves cuffs and bracelets, because she can pile on quite a few at one time. She's particularly fond of the jeweled versions. All the jewelry is under $100 (except one cuff), as is most of the clothing items, as well. The rings were exceptionally outstanding. Most were oversized, some with jewel tones and others with sparkling embellishments.

Iman also chatted about her new luggage pieces which are based on classic styles. The duffel roller looks like a beautiful bag but converts into a piece of luggage with wheels and an extended handle. Iman was sure to make this one small enough to fit in an overhead cabin. She particularly likes this one because, she says, "I don't like to travel with lots of suitcases." This collection includes satchels, handbags and clutches. Her favorite is the doctor handbag in brown, which also comes in purple and cream.

Iman Global Chic offers a few clothing options that Iman thinks are necessary for any trip. This line includes a tunic, belts, leggings and scarves for the holidays. She drew inspiration from her own closet. Iman was careful to make styles that would be lovely, no matter the size. "If the design does not interpret into a larger size, it does not belong in this collection," she said. These items are also below $100 because "women are not looking for cheap products. They're looking for great value," she said. Most of the apparel items would also make great presents, this Holiday season. The sequined scarves come in various colors and are knitted on one side.
