Simon Cowell Set To Quit American Idol
Simon Cowell is tired. He is working too much and there is one show that is to blame - American Idol.
The star, who also fronts Britain's Got Talent and The X Factor in his native U.K., tells British tabloid the Daily Mirror he makes up to four transatlantic flights a week just to keep up with his hectic filming.
As if that wasn't enough, Simon also heads a record label, and a television production firm! Oh my word! And I thought two kids and a blog was a lot to manage. :)
"I don't want to come over as whiney because I am very grateful that I have got these jobs. But there is a point where I am not sure we can keep this schedule up.
"It takes longer and longer to make these shows because you have to put more into them, and I am not sure we can sustain me doing three shows a year, with the record label and the TV production company.
"Most people do one show a year and I do three and they involve a lot of travelling. One may have to go. I don't know which one. That is the problem, I like all of them. I can't imagine not doing Britain's Got Talent and I can't imagine not doing X Factor.
"But I guess America is more likely to go because I have got one year under contract. Maybe that will be the end."

Simon Cowell Will Never Die
We can now look forward to American Idol for the rest of our lifetime...and then some.
Simon Cowell thinks that if he has his body frozen after he dies, one day science will be advanced enough that he could be revived.
“I’ve decided to have myself frozen when I die. You know, cryogenics. You pay a load of money and you get stuck in a deep-freeze once you’ve been declared dead.
Medical science is bound to work out a way of bringing us back to life in the next century or so.”
When asked if he was serious, Simon replied,
“Completely. I’d be doing the nation a service.”
CRAZY!!!!!

Simon Cowell was spotted enjoying his vacation in the Caribbean, soaking up the sun and riding around on a jetski Tuesday afternoon. You can tell by the way Simon his flexing his muscles and flexing his chest (underneath his unbuckled life jacket), he has no idea he's being photographed. But while we're on the subject... Simon Cowell Wants Britney Spears As A Mentor For American Idol
Simon Cowell wants singer Britney Spears to appear on American Idol as a mentor to the contestants. You know, one of the professional singers who meets with the contestants and prepares them to butcher sing their songs that week.
I would love to see her mentor the contestants.
'She would, literally, be first on the list, as far as I'm concerned in
any capacity. She was a riot. I loved it.”
Just to provide some context for Simon's statement: Britney appeared on the British version of American Idol, The X Factor. Her performance on the show was described as "disastrous." Britney was criticized for lip synching and refusing to meet the contestants.
In case you're wondering if Simon has lost his mind famously sharp judgment, you should also know that Britney's appearance pulled in some of the X Factor's highest ratings of the season.
The buzz we had on our show was extraordinary.
'And even with all that stuff that's gone on with her the past two years,
there was more excitement and interest in her than I've seen in anyone in
years. She would be very, very welcome."
I guess the contestants could view her as either a cautionary tale or an inspiration, given her comeback.
I'd say this all feels exploitative, but that's pretty much the name of the game in reality TV, isn't it?

Simon Cowell Says American Idol Will Remain The Same
Will Paula Goodspeed's suicide have a dramatic effect on the way American Idol moves forward with their upcoming season? Not at all say judge Simon Cowell.
"I have thought long and hard about this…I think we will continue in the way we have always done. We have tried to have a sense of humor. The show is not an inherently mean show.
"It is an American dream show where the whole purpose is to find somebody who through the process becomes a star. It is helpful showing people the process that, if you’re not very good, don’t spend years trying to do something you’re not very good at doing."
Simon only wishes that he knew about Paula's condition. He says the producers would have tried to help her - not exploit her.
"My regret is that we didn’t know how troubled this person was. If I could have gone back in time and known what she was going through, we could have then tried to help her, but we genuinely didn’t know."

Tracking Device Found On Simon Cowell's Car!!!
OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would never believe that it could possibly get worse for celebs - but it has! Simon Cowell suspected something was up when the same man on a bike always happen to know where he was going. No matter where the American Idol judge went, this photographer showed up with his equipment in hand.
Trying to rule out all possibilities, Simon asked his security team to sweep his $200,000 Bentley and GUESS WHAT? They found a tracking device attached to it.
"Simon is completely freaked out by this. He can’t believe someone has gone to so much trouble and expense to monitor his every movement. It’s extremely sinister.
"He was aware that someone, dressed in motorbike leathers and a crash helmet, kept turning up a few minutes after he went everywhere. He couldn’t work out how that person knew his movements.
"His security team found this tracking device under the car… Simon has his suspicions as to who is responsible. He is so angry he is considering calling in the police to investigate further."
Uh... YEAH call the police! I smell a restraining order at the very least. What do you think about this mess? What is going to have to happen before stricter laws come into play for our actors and actresses?
