Simon Cowell Didn't Want To Marry Terri Seymour
Well, Simon Cowell isn't like Howard Stern. When this man says he isn't getting married, he means it. The reason why Simon Cowell and Terri Seymour split is because the American Idol judge didn't want to get married. I am sure it has nothing to do with his love for Terri, he just admits that he already has a wife, and that is his job.
"She wants a different path in life, and I totally respect her for it. I think in relationships, you have to be totally honest. I have always been and I know Terri knows that.
"Bottom line is I am married to my job. When people moan about been a celebrity, I think ‘Oh please, sort yourself out - it’s the greatest job in the world.’ I wake up daily thanking my lucky stars, but to throw marriage into that mix is not right. I have seen too many celebrity marriages that on paper make a great mix, fall apart through ego and just plain celebrity madness."
Good for her for getting up and leaving. So many times people stay in a relationship with the hope that perhaps they misunderstood the message. And Simon's message is loud and clear. Now Terri can move on and find someone who has the same ideology.
UPDATE: Rumor has it that Simon gave Terri $9 million as a "parting gift"!!!$5 million in cash and $4 to buy a home in Beverly Hills.

American Idol Stopping Contestant From Releasing Album With Another Agency
Remember this guy? The American who sings like a Brit? I actually LOVED LOVED LOVED him and the way he sang. Unfortunately for Josiah Leming, he didn't make it to the top ten. But that didn't stop Warner Records from snagging him right up. The only problem is, that's against the American Idol rules. If you attempt to win their competition, you are basically handing over your soul. Participants in the reality show are tied in to contracts promising only to record music with the program’s associate label, Sony/BMG.
However, because of personal circumstances, Josiah is taking a chance releasing the album regardless.
"Josiah was the only Idol contestant ever to get a record deal who didn’t make the top 24, and one of only four contestants to get a deal this year. He has personal reasons for getting his music out, threat or not.
"His mother has terminal cancer, and nothing is going to stop him from getting his music out while she is alive to share it. His album on Warner Records will be released in late January ‘09."

American Idol Judges Reach Out To Jennifer Hudson
You don't need to be a parent to empathize for Jennifer Hudson and her family during this endless tragedy. I keep using that word while writing update posts on the situation, but there is no other way for me to explain it. To lose your mother and brother to a violent crime and then your 7 year old nephew all in the same week (or lifetime) is something nobody should have to go through.
For those of you who haven't heard, Julian King was found murdered in the SUV that was cited in the Amber alert from the day before. He was killed execution style with two bullets in the head. Did I mention he was seven years old.
William Balfour, the man who police are currently questioning was found with blood on his clothing which is currently being tested. He is Jennifer's brother-in-law.
Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul have offered their condolences to Jennifer, a former American Idol contestant.
Abdul: "This is a horrific tragedy and my thoughts and prayers go out to Jennifer and her entire family. The time I had to get to know Jennifer and forge a wonderful friendship with her while she was on Idol was very special to me, and I personally can't imagine a greater loss for any family."
Cowell: "I was horrified when I heard the news. This is an appalling tragedy. My thoughts right now are with Jennifer, and her family."

Death Threats For Simon Cowell And The X Factor By Islamic Extremists
WHAT? OH MY GOODNESS!
Simon Cowell had to bump up security on his British TV show The X Factor after receiving death threats from Islamic extremists.
The talent contest was recently rapped by outspoken Islamist preacher Omar Bakri Muhammad, currently in Lebanon, who posted a rant on a Muslim website after the show’s finalists recorded a charity single to raise money for injured British troops.
X Factor producers have reportedly been in talks with U.K. police to boost security at Fountain Studios in Wembley, North London, where the program is filmed.
Security checks at the venue are said to have been increased with plans for X-ray scans and a police presence on 25 October, when finalists will perform the charity single.
"We called in officers from Scotland Yard because of genuine safety fears. We are in the process of discussing extra security measures for Saturday night’s live show."

Ladies - What Do We Think About The Low V Neck On Simon Cowell?
It's his signature look. EVERY single shirt Simon Cowell wears is a deep V neck. I get he likes to show off his chest, but it's almost comical how he rarely is seen sporting anything else. I can only imagine what the man's closet looks like!

New American Idol Judge Introduced
American Idol did an event at Manhattan's Chelsea Piers to introduce their newest addition to the family, Kara DioGuardi. Obviously the media is already trying to pit Kara against Paula Abdul...everybody loves a good cat fight. We'll just have to say how this woman changes the chemistry with Paula, Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell!
When asked about her judging style Kara said,
"I'm a little nervous. I'm going to be a straight shooter and say it like I see it and maintain that philosophy. I'm somebody who's really honest and gives an opinion. If I feel I need to be hard, I will be. And if I feel I need to be more nurturing, I will be."
