Solange Knowles Talks About Her Infamous Haircut To Honey Magazine
Solange Knowles raised quite a few eyebrows (not to mention caused plenty of internet chatter) a few months ago when she got rid of her extensions and cut her hair super short. Now she talks to Honey Magazine about it.
I guess you just go through different phases in your life. I was pretty much at the point where I needed the change and I needed to focus my energy on more productive arenas. I was putting too much into my appearance and I needed to make this about growth and going to the next stage of my life. I felt like I was being distracted by something as simple as hair. I've always been really fearless about change. I've cut my hair the same way when I was 16 and again when I was 18. This was my third time.
It's interesting how much hair plays a role in your life and character and schedule...I remember being 16 and being like 'Okay, I can still be smart and I can still have the same beliefs that I have, but I did not have to have red Rasta braids. I can do that with straight hair. I can do that with a 'fro. I can do that with a weave down to my butt.' That was when I first cut my hair off.
When I was 18 I got a hot flash because I was pregnant with [Julez] and I was like 'It's hot as hell so I'm cutting this s**t off.' But this time it was definitely more so about the growth and the energy and the time I was spending. It was about to be summer, and I didn't want to have to worry about swimming or going to the park with my son or how hair was going to fit into my life. It was too much.

Solange Knowles Is Angry About All The Attention And Insists The New Bald Look Isn't A Statement
Talk about backlash! Solange Knowles' new haircut was documented yesterday afternoon despite the singer having a bald head for over 2 weeks... and boy did the public respond. It wasn't all kind and Beyonce's little sister couldn't take it anymore. She spent the entire day yesterday tweeting her frustrations.
This isn't even it all - it's just all I could fit on my screen.

Solange Knowles Stops Concert To Yell At The Paparazzi
Apparently Solange Knowles hates the way she looks when she sings.
The 23-year-old singer - sister of 'Halo' star Beyonce - stopped halfway
through her performance at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans last
weekend and demanded a paparazzo stop taking photos of her.
As the audience looked on in amazement, Solange shouted:
"Mr. Photographer,
you are making me self-conscious. I swear I make the same stupid three faces
over and over again, so please leave me be."
Can you imagine!? LOL! I guess Solange is REALLY REALLY against people taking her picture while performing.

Solange Knowles Talks Safe Sex
Solange Knowles was just 13 years old when her parents sat her down for THE TALK. You know the one. And she says that when it comes time for her to do the same with her own children, they'll be bringing up the issue even earlier. I am dying just thinking about it. Jr. High?!? I am in total denial right now. That day will NEVER come for my babies. :)

when my parents first sat me down to discuss sex. And it was a very
good age for me. But, it may be necessary to talk to my son at an even
earlier age since kids are now having sex in Jr. High. I definitely
understand that friends are the biggest influences on children and sex
needs to be addressed by parents early.You need to have the conversation before it’s too late. Talk about
expectations and have that initial conversation before deciding to
engage in sex.
Solange also mentioned that she developed a reality show about her life and is in the process of shopping it around. I mean, if this reality show focuses on how she picks out her clothes and gets dressed every morning, sign me up! I would LOVE to see the things that girl has in her closet!

Solange Did Not Over Dose On Nyquil - Now Blames Dehydration
Twitter can get a girl in trouble these days! Anyone else completely obsessed? I go on about 5 times a day. It's bad.
Yesterday, INO reported that Solange Knowles fainted while on a plane and was rushed to the hospital. Before and after passing out, the singer was Tweeting away letting her subscribers know what was going on. She blamed everything on taking too much Nyquil.
This morning the story has changed. I guess doctor's told Beyonce's sister that she was just dehydrated.
Naturally, Solange took to Twitter to give the update.
"ok. so im just waking up. i feel fine. then someone tells me its all online i OD on Nyquil. yikes. no."
"I went to the hospital, they gave me an Iv of fluids and told me to rest and drink fluids. Thanks everyone who has been concerned.
"When i landed and woke up, i felt weird…i thought from the Nyquil maybe but turns out I was really dehydrated so thats what caused me to faint."
Solange knows she is giving away too much info on Twitter - so now she is going to attempt to calm it down. Good luck! That thing is addicting!!

Solange Knowles Hospitalized After Collapse
Solange Knowles has been admitted to hospital after she collapsed from taking too many flu pills while on a flight out of New York Tuesday night.
Beyonce's younger sister was treated by medics after taking the capsules onboard a plane and suffering an adverse reaction to the medication.
She twittered during the entire flight and subscribers could tell that something was wrong. Three hours into the trip, her messages suddenly stopped after she complained of feeling sleepy - and three hours later she logged back on to the website to tell fans she was in the hospital. Here are her tweets below:
Turns out she took too many NyQuil pills.
"I took a nyquil and i think maybe im getting high off it because im not sleeping. maybe i should close my eyes..."
Minutes later she added,
"think im certified loosing (sic) it on nyquil. going to sleep before i start freestyling on the plane... omg (Oh my God) i didnt know nyquil could do this to you. i took the pills tho. cant stomach cough syrup. trying to be proactive on this flight."
She then added:
"Never taking nyquil again. I feel so weird."
Her last message after she woke up in the hospital read:
"Woaah...... How'd I end up in the hospital? Woke up to 8 random people over me, laid out on the floor in baggage claim!... Guess I passed out! Scary. Hooked up to IV now . Apparantly I'm super dehydrated.
"I've never passed out before. S**t was like the movies. People standing over me saying 'hello'... My mom is the best. LOL (laugh out loud). She's like 'Ain't nothing wrong with this girl, she need some water and rest... Pull up the car!' LOL
"I'm like still in shock. I've never passed out before. Think it was the nyquil too. I felt weird when I woke up. This has been the day from hell. I'm done with the second IV. I just want to get in the bed and lay with (son) Julez. That's all I want."
The singer later confirmed she had been released from hospital following treatment. I had no idea Nyquil could do something like that to you! Thank goodness she is ok.
