Sophia Bush Sounds Off About Young Hollywood
"One Tree Hill" actress Sophia Bush sits down with talk show host Bonnie Hunt to talk about the long-running teen show, the role her teachers played in her life and her thoughts on young Hollywood on "The Bonnie Hunt Show" airing Tuesday, October 13.
Sophia tells Bonnie that she was honored to be asked to join the organization, "Teachers Count," because her teacher were so influential in who she has become and how she prepares for roles which she takes very seriously.
"I think particularly with young people in the entertainment industry the focus has gotten inappropriate. When people can have careers which consist of nothing but going to parties...and they get paid to go to parties because they've been less than clothed...it's not something I can believe in."
"The thing that I find very detrimental when that example is being set for young women is even should you be this sort of person who will lower yourself enough to live by an, 'I"ll do anything to be famous' standard, it doesn't last.
Because on "One Tree Hill" she plays an, "out of control sexpot girl and had a nervous breakdown every morning at work before I had to shoot the scenes," she is always asked what she thinks is sexy and she always says, "I think smart is sexy because that's all that last."

Sophia Bush Gets Frozen Yogurt In Soho
What better way to beat the summer heat than with a little fro-yo? Sophia Bush was seen preparing the frozen treat while spending some time in Soho with a friend at Pop Yogurt located on West Broadway and Spring Street.
Looks like the actress added some chocolate pop rockets to her yogurt to spice up the flavor. What's your favorite toppings?

Sophia Bush Is No Gym Rat!
Sophia Bush has a fantastic body, clearly. But, she says she doesn't suffer to stay in shape. She's one actress who enjoys being healthy but won't live in the gym to have the perfect figure.
“As
I’m getting older, I appreciate being healthy for the way that I feel,
you know for being able to get through a sixteen hour day which is
easier when you’re body is functioning properly. But I’m not one of
those crazies who’s in the gym everyday. I think its really strange
with people saying, ‘this is my daily regimen and this is my diet and
this is my crazy weight loss tip.’ it informs a side of physical
obsession that I really don’t think is healthy, especially for the
young girls who watch our show,”“I love food, you know, my family is Italian. I can’t get
enough of it. I love bread and cheese and pasta and good wine and all
of it really. But I try to eat something green once a day.”
That sounds like a good, balanced approach to looking at things. Sophia is beautiful, and it's good to know that she's not starving herself, like some actresses do, just to try and make it in the industry.

Sophia Bush Spoils Her Dogs
Sophia Bush is in love... with her new rescued pit bull. The actress took in Penny as a companion for Patch, her original pooch. It's so cute to read how affectionate she is towards these two:
“She’s another rescue pitbull. She was a few days away from being euthanized at the pound. She’s amazing. She’s the first dog I’ve come across in all this time that I’ve been thinking about getting a dog so that Patch has a companion that really reminds me of him. They have really kindred spirits. She’s a puppy, but there’s a lot of life in her eyes. She’s a very old dog. I know that might sound strange to call a dog an old soul, but she is. She’s really special, and they’re just in love with each other, so it’s a good match.”
“My dogs are absolutely spoiled. They come to work with me every day. We’re never apart -- ever. I take them everywhere I go. We hike, and we go to the beach. I pile them in the bed. I think, with animals, they encourage a pure showering of love, and I really like that.”
You can tell Sophia is really a nice person. Anyone who loves animals this much is typically alright in my book. :)
The actress also insists that having these dogs gives her parental responsibilities.
