Charlize Theron Isn't An Exhibitionist
Charlize Theron is not “an exhibitionist”. The ‘Burning Plain’ actress – who appears naked in the first scene of the movie, and has also stripped off in ‘Monster’ and ‘The Devil’s Advocate’ – insists she only flashes flesh on film if it is integral to the storyline.
“I'm not some exhibitionist. I think people think I just love walking around naked. When you start making it about yourself, you stand in the way of doing your job. I have to sit in an editing room with the director and a bunch of execs, and if I had to sit there and think about myself and these men watching me, I think that would make me insecure. I'm just like every other girl out there. I would cringe.”
The 34-year-old actress added making ‘The Burning Plain’ – in which she stars as Sylvia, a woman who found out her mother was having an affair when she was a teenager – made her think about her own upbringing.
Charlize’s parents had a turbulent relationship, culminating in her father being shot dead by her mother after he attacked her when Charlize was 15.
She told the USA Today newspaper:
“I looked at my parents and I was so judgmental, and you don't understand the struggles of what it is to be in a marriage and be committed and raise children and to be part of a family.
“Their marriage wasn't great. As a child, you see things very differently, and then I got older and I went, 'Wow, that's amazing.' You start going out with a couple of boys, and some of them aren't so nice. There's a lot more that plays into this whole relationship thing than you think.”

Salma Hayek Enjoys Star Studded Wedding Festivities
Salma Hayek's wedding to Francois-Henri Pinault is shaping up to be quite an affair (although not a $2 million extravaganza, according to the bride)! Woody Harrelson, Salma's ex, Ed Norton, Olivier Martinez, and Antonio Banderas have all been spotted in Venice to attend Salma's wedding. (Salma and Francois-Henri legall married at a city hall in Paris on Valentine's Day.)
The rehersal dinner took place in the historic Punta Della Dogana and was a masked ball! The French President and his wife were reportedly invited, along with Penelope Cruz and Ashley Judd. Salma and Francois-Pinault's one-year-old daughter, Valentina, also attended the masked ball.
All the guests wore black Venetian masks.

Charlize Theron Has Found True Happiness With Stuart Townsend
Charlize Theron says being with longtime boyfriend Stuart Townsend has finally put her in a place where she can breathe easy.
In an interview with Marie Claire magazine, the 33-year-old actress says her life has completely changed thanks to their solid relationship.
"Since I've been with Stuart, my
vulnerability has become something I'm more comfortable with. I think
there's a part of me that is very much a survivor. I don't know if it was in
my genes, I don't know what it is. But I guess being young and starting out
in a sense of, 'I'm not going to be a wallflower, and I'm not going to be
messed with.' That was the only way I knew how to
survive at that time."But all that has changed since I've been with Stuart. I don't feel like I'm
in survival mode any more. I feel like it's OK, I can breathe, so I'm very
grateful to him."
What a WONDERFUL thing to say about someone!
And naturally... an interview with a 30+ year old in Hollywood just isn't complete without the "baby" question.
"I've always known that I wanted to be a mom. I love
children. I've always loved children. But I'm not like, 'Oh my god, I really
must have kids right now.' I've never felt this pressing urge that some
biological clock is ticking. We both want to be parents one day, but I've no
idea
when that will be."
8 years together in Hollywood is a pretty substantial time. Charlize and Stuart stay really low key - perhaps that has something to do with it.

Stuart Townsend For Corduroy Magazine
He’s spent the better part of his life in front of camera, as both a film and television star and an unwilling target of the paparazzi. Though he’s best known for dating Charlize Theron, Stuart Townsend is stepping out and making his own case for the spotlight. First step: coming clean to Corduroy about past relationships and his new struggles in the industry.
“I got into acting for a girl. I was going out with a girl who was doing drama school. And I didn’t even know you could do drama school. But I was watching four or five movies every day and she was like “you could learn acting” and I thought maybe I could get into films and impress her. I ended up joining the same acting school as her. We broke up a short while later but I’ve been doing movies ever since.”
The actor also admitted that he doesn't do films he isn't impressed by leaving him with about three scripts a year to choose from. The only problem is everyone else is vying for those roles as well.
“The general public has this idea that you get to choose and choose and they’re always like ‘You chose that?’ And you’re like ‘No, that was it. That’s why I’m in it.’ There are probably only about three scripts a year that I really like. And everybody else is ready those scripts too. It got to a point where I was fed up with acting. I was fed up with being in films that I didn’t really give a sh$t about. “
I will always love Stuart for his portrayal of Lestat in Queen of the Damned. I read Anne Rice's entire series and LOVED his interpretation of the character.
Fact Or Fiction: Charlize Theron Has An Odd Use For Her Oscar
I'm sure Charlize Theron has a really big house. So big in fact that a guest would have a hard time finding the powder room if they weren't familiar with the floor plan. Naturally, Charlize would have to direct her friends to where they want to be. Does she use her Oscar as part of her plan?
A source from the NY Daily News is claiming that Charlize uses her Oscar to help guide people to the bathroom. The source is claiming Charlize would tell her guests,
Take a left
at the Oscar."
That's actually pretty funny. I might do that if I had an Oscar. The source also says the statue is clearly in a spot where everyone can see it.

the hallway. You can't miss it!"

Charlize Theron Attends Screening For Battle Of Seattle
Let's talk lipstick. I want to get a lipstick similar to the one Charlize Theron is wearing and I was wondering if you had any favorites that you could share. I've been told that I should smoke out my eyes and go very light on the lips. I typically wear Fresh Brew from MAC which is light but in the brown family. I have never shopped outside that color and wouldn't even know where to start.
Any favorites? It will be most helpful!
