John Mayer Talks About Working With Taylor Swift
John Mayer's new album was released today - his first in 3 years. He sat down with the Fuse network to talk about the album and why he chose to work with Taylor Swift for one of his songs.
"Keeping with the Tom Petty context, I'd written a song that was really straight up, melodic, to-the-point chorus and I was thinking that if I, in my little imagination, that I'm Tom Petty when I'm singing this song, then who's Stevie Nicks?" he tells the Fuse network.
"And I'm very strange about getting other people to perform on my records because I want those records to be around forever and I don't know what someone else is going to do in their life. I was confident that this was not a gimmick just to sell a record and that was evidence by her coming in and us having a great time in the studio. Where she is is just fantastic."

Taylor Swift Has No Problem Being Single
Just when it looked like Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner were indeed coming out as The Taylors, Taylor's (Swift) new interview for the December issue of InStyle puts things in doubt. Here's what she has to say about her relationship with the 'New Moon' star:
"He and I have gotten really close," she says. "It would be confusing on the set with two Taylors in the same scene. They were like, 'Taylor, on your mark – no, not you, the other one!' So halfway through the shoot, I said, 'How about you guys call me Swifty and call him Taylor?' "
Too cute! Then Taylor says this:
"I've never thought it was a curse to be single, and at this point in my life, I'm in the mind-set where I choose to be single –] like I got to light scented candles and write in my diary and I wouldn't have time for that if I had a boyfriend right now!"
And here's what Taylor had to say about "Swifty":
"Taylor is hilarious," he says. "It was definitely not hard to play her love interest."
Well, if you consider that these interviews are done months in advance, it could be that things progressed since Taylor sat down with InStyle... :)

Taylor Swift Is Being Sought To Play A Vampire
Kevin Williamson, the writer/producer behind 'The Vampire Diaries' is trying to snag Taylor Swift for a visit to Mystic Falls - as a vamp! How fun would this be?? Kevin says he's approached Taylor already with his idea but he's afraid that maybe she's too famous:
"maybe too big for Vampire Diaries now,"
"I'm desperate to have [Swift] come play a vampire," Williamson says. "Wouldn't she make an amazing Kirsten Dunst circa Interview With the Vampire type? Oh my god, I cannot tell you how hard I'm trying to get her—I would kill to have her on the show!"
How funny would that be considering she's reportedly dating Taylor Lautner from "that other vampire saga"? I'd love to see her as a bad vampire, causing havoc around town with Damon (Ian Somerhalder).
In other 'Vampire Diaries' news, Kayla Ewell says she's not ruling a possible rise from the ashes for her character, Vicki.
"I'm still under contract," she told E! Online's Party Girl Cristina Gibson. So does that mean Vicki could be back? "There has been talk of a lot of stuff," Kayla hinted. "But that's all I can say. So yes and no. We'll see what happens."
Although, big boss Williamson says that's not gonna happen:
"No. As of right now she's completely gone. We have no plans to bring her back."
A girl can still hope! Vicki was a great character. I'm still in shock that they killed her off so quickly. A new episode airs tonight on the CW at 7pm! Have you been watching?

The 43rd Annual Country Music Awards are tonight and I just heard some pre- red carpet secrets from the make up artists two of countries biggest stars: Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood.
Taylor’s make-up artist Lorrie Turk let us know she uses decleor’s instant radiance moisturizer under all of Taylor’s make-up to make her complexion pop. Taylor started using the product when she first met Valentine’s Day co-star and boyfriend Taylor Luatner and she’s been obsessed ever since. Taylor will definitely have it on for her performance at the CMA’s tonight.
Make-up artist Rachel Goodwin let us know that long time Decleor fan and tonight’s CMA co-host, Carrie Underwood soothes her skin with the aroma night rose d’orient night balm before all her big photo shoots and events including tonight’s! Taylor Lautner Talks (A Little) About The Other Taylor, 'New Moon,' And 'Breaking Dawn'
Taylor Lautner opened up a little bit to Extra about dating the other Taylor, Taylor Swift.
"It gets confusing definitely... And it's weird calling somebody your name."
That was all they got out of him about that- LOL.
For those of you who've read 'Breaking Dawn,' you know Taylor's character has a nude scene. Is Taylor prepared to show even more of his body off?
"I don't think the fans or the studio would be open to it, so I don't even really need to think about it," says Lautner, adding that although the movie hasn't been officially announced, he's "just waiting to hear."
I have to agree with that :)
