Tom Cruise And Katie Holmes Celebrate Third Anniversary

This is how Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes celebrated their anniversary. Tom was snapped out jogging and Katie was hard at work on the set of "The Romantics". Not very romantic, but pretty typical for most couples, right?
I wonder how these two will (or already did) celebrate? Do you think they are elaborate with it or more of a low-key pair? I'd love to know if they exchange gifts!
Am I the only one who feels like these two have been married longer than three years?

Nicole Richie Hospitalized

Nicole Richie has checked herself into the hospital. Her rep released this statement:
"Nicole has checked into Ceders Sinai where she is being treated for pneumonia. She is doing well."
Nicole had missed the launch of her House of Harlow jewelry line back on November 10th, citing illness back then already.
Pneumonia is miserable! I hope she's feeling better quickly and there aren't any complications. I wonder if Joel is still out traveling with Good Charlotte?

Kevin Bacon Raises Money To Save The Mummers Parade

Kevin Bacon and his brother, Michael Bacon, arrived at Paradiso Restaurant in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the "Save the Mummers" event last night. Kevin and Michael are Philly natives trying to help save the Mummers Parade, a Philadelphia tradition. Their band, Bacon Brothers, is recording a special version of the title song, “New Year’s Day” off their newest CD to help raise money for the group.
The duo is also set to headline the benefit concert on December 5th. I wish I lived in that area - I'd LOVE to see Kevin play live!

Charlie's Angels Heading Back To The Small Screen

ABC is reportedly "this close" to sealing a deal to bring 'Charlie's Angels' back to your television screen. According to Variety those on board with the remake of the 70's action show:
Josh Friedman, who recently adapted the "Terminator" franchise "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," is onboard to write and exec produce the new "Angels." and Leonard Goldberg, who launched the series with Aaron Spelling in 1976, as well as Drew Barrymore
Do you think Drew Barrymore has an attachment to the series since she starred in the movie versions? That'd be my guess.
The article also talks about the 'Fantasy Island' remake that is in the works, too.
What do you think of revamping old tv shows to give them a current spin? Shows like '90210' and 'Melrose Place' have done it successfully but what about these older "iconic" shows? Will you be able to accept an updated version?

'Dollhouse' And 'Hank' Are Latest Shows To Be Canceled

This is just not a good week for TV stars. Fox announced today that Dollhouse, starring Eliza Dushku, is done and over. They will finish out the 13 episode season for viewers.
Also on the chopping block - ABC announced that the Kelsey Grammer show, Hank, has been canceled. Fans of the show might be a little disgruntled, as they will only being showing one last episode. There are five more done and ready to go but there's no word on whether ABC will air them. ABC gave the ax to show Eastwick yesterday, as well. They did pick up full seasons of the new smash hits Cougar Town, Modern Family and The Middle.
What do you think of the latest shows to get the boot? Are you disappointed?

Halle Berry To Be Honored With Leadership Award

Halle Berry is set to receive the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award next month at The Hollywood Reporter's 18th annual Women in Entertainment breakfast. This award recognizes groundbreaking contributions to the entertainment industry. Wow, I bet she's thrilled.
"The complex role that Halle Berry plays in life as a successful, versatile entertainment professional who is committed to furthering the well-being of others, especially minorities, is as inspiring as are her film roles," THR editor Elizabeth Guider said. "The recognition is also wonderfully fitting in a year in which diversity has been embraced and rewarded at the highest levels of our government and culture."
Hilary Swank will be the keynote speaker at the breakfast.
A few other actresses who've won the award: Barbara Walters, Meryl Streep, Jodie Foster and Glenn Close. Impressive company to be in, right?

ABC Cancels Rebecca Romijn's 'Eastwick'

Sad news for fans of Eastwick - the show has been canceled. The consolation is that they will air all 13 episodes that were originally ordered.
According to E!:
ABC has confirmed that no new episodes will be produced beyond the original 13-episode commitment.
Ugly Betty may be moving into Eastwick's Wednesday time slot.
I know several people who will be disappointed. This is one reason why it's hard to risk getting attached to new shows each season - if you really get into it - they give it the ax! Were you watching?
