Justin Timberlake and Anna Faris Heading To Jellystone
There's a lot of movie news today! Another funny cast is shaping up. This time, it's Dan Aykroyd, Anna Faris, and Justin Timberlake. The three are reportedly in talks to star in a live action/CG-animated hybrid version of Yogi Bear.
Yogi will possibly be voiced by Dan, Boo-Boo will be voiced by Justin and Anna Farris will play a "flesh and blood" human working on a nature documentary.
Yogi Bear creator, Joe Barbera passed away back in 2006. Shooting is set to being next month in New Zealand.

More Evidence That Simon Cowell Is Soft
Simon Cowell has reached out in a big way to help a little 18-month old girl get the experimental cancer treatment she needs. The little girl, Sophie Atay, was diagnosed with a neuroblastoma, a rare form of cancer earlier this year. Her mom has been working to raise the $800,000 needed for an experimental treatment. One of Simon's friends, X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke, told him of the mother's fundraising efforts and Simon gave the girl the remaining $160,000 needed!
"I'd told Simon about the situation and that there was no time to waste because Sophie needs the treatment immediately, and he decided to give her the money in a second," Burke tells the Mail. "Now we're hopeful Sophie will be on the flight to the U.S. today."
The treatment is said to have the possibility of raising Sophie's survival rate from 20 percent to 90 percent! It's so sad that not all families have access to some of these treatments due to the outrageous costs. What an amazing thing Simon did!

Madonna Planting A Miracle Tree
Madonna and Lourdes were in Lilongwe, Malawi to break ground on a new girls' academy she is building there. The academy is being called a "gift" to the country where she adopted 2 of her children. It's said that the school will be modeled after Oprah's academy in South Africa.
"The school will help girls from vulnerable backgrounds to move forward. They will use the principles of spirituality for kids," said the singer
"The logical project was to build a school that will create future women leaders, doctors and surgeons," Madonna said.
Madonna planted a Moringa tree, also known as the "miracle tree" for its cure of many diseases, at the construction site. The academy is expected to start in 2012.
I could use a miracle tree in my yard - if it would sprout money. LOL! On a serious note, that's a wonderful gift she's given to the young girls in that community. It's so great for Lourdes to see her mom doing these amazing things for others.

Daniel Craig Says Next Bond Installment Is A Go
Great news for fans of 007! Actor Daniel Craig has confirmed that the next installment in the James Bond franchise is a go!
“We start end of next year,” he said in a video posted to YouTube.
Did you know this is the 23rd film? I wonder if that's a record for a franchise like this? This will be Daniel's third time appearing as James Bond. He's currently starring on Broadway with Hugh Jackman in A Steady Rain. If you live in the area, have you had a chance to catch it yet?

Ellen Pompeo Doing Some Shopping in West Hollywood
Ellen Pompeo was snapped in West Hollywood today. She was heading to Whole Foods to do a little grocery shopping. She looks so comfortable and yet stylish. And having a baby just a few weeks ago - you'd never know it! I believe she's due back to work on Grey's Anatomy pretty soon?
Looks like she needed some help from security? At least Ellen doesn't feel compelled to get dressed to the nines like Paris Hilton just to buy groceries! LOL!

Kristin Chenoweth To Hit Broadway With Sean Hayes
It's not in writing yet but rumor has it that a deal has been reached in bringing Kristin Chenoweth back to broadway. She's going to be starring as Fran Kubelik in a revival of Promises, Promises opposite Sean Hayes (Will and Grace).
A brief description, if you aren't familiar:
Promises, Promises is a musical comedy based on Billy Wilder's film The Apartment, and looks at marital intrigue and the relationships between men and women.
Kristin previously won a Tony award for her performance in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.
I wonder if these two have worked together before? I can only imagine how funny they'd be together! The first time I saw her was in the Robin Williams movie "RV" - she was hilarious!

Leona Lewis Slapped At Book Signing
How awful! At a book signing in London for her new autobiography, Dreams, Leona Lewis was attacked by a male "fan". She was about 90 minutes into a book signing event when it happened. I just can't imagine how frightening that was!
"Leona was the victim of an unprovoked attack this afternoon at her book signing," the star's rep said in a statement. "The police were called immediately and medical attention has been sought. Leona is understandably shaken and apologizes to the fans she was unable to meet and complete signings."
The police were called and they arrested the 29 year old man on suspicion of actual bodily harm. Hopefully the man gets some help.
I wonder if she'll feel comfortable continuing on with the press/signing tour for the book? I'd be a little freaked out.
