Usher And Tameka Foster Raymond's Divorce Finalized
It is officially over for Usher and his wife of two years, Tameka Foster Raymond.
Court documents confirm that a Fulton County, Georgia judge issued a final decree Wednesday, severing ties between Usher Raymond IV and Tameka Foster Raymond, the singer's former stylist.
It sounds like this divorce certainly had its contentious moments, from the beginning when Usher filed the papers and Tameka's response was that the marriage was "still intact" to Usher's 911 call last month, claiming that Tameka had vandalized his cars (officers concluded there was no proof she had done the damage).
They do have two sons together, however: Usher Raymond V (who turns two this month) and Naviyd Ely Raymond (11 months old), so hopefully they can manage to co-parent effectively.

Usher Sings About His Divorce
Well, I guess this is what a lot of artists do: use personal adversity as a motivation for their art. Usher, who is in the middle of a divorce from his wife, Tameka Foster Raymond, apparently sings these lyrics in a song called 'Papers':
"I gave my heart and turned my back against the world 'cuz you were my girl," he sings, continuing, "I done damn near lost my mama/I done been through so much drama/I done turned into the man I never thought I'd be/I'm ready to sign them papers."
Those lyrics probably refer to Usher's decision to fire his mother as his manager when he was dating Tameka (Usher's mother reportedly did not approve of his relationship with her).
You can check out the song here. Usher's album is due out December 8. I wonder if this album will complicate the divorce proceedings?

Tameka Foster Blindsided By Divorce
UGH. I can't imagine how awful that must feel. Tameka Foster had no idea that Usher was planning on filing for divorce. Her best friend is speaking out and says that the couple was struggling, but that Tameka hadn't been told they would actually split.
She didn't know that he was going to file. Of
course, she knew that there were challenges in their relationship and had been
some discord since March and was aware there were some things that needed to be
worked through. But did she know that divorce was imminent? No. It was a total
surprise.
Does this make you feel bad for Tameka? She hasn't had the greatest reputation in the media but now maybe people will see her in a more compassionate light.

Details On Usher's And Tameka's Split
According to People, sources close to Usher and his estranged wife, Tameka Foster, are not surprised by the couple's split, saying it was a matter of "when" not "if." The couple reportedly began to drift apart before they actually married in 2007.
'They peaked before they even got married,' a friend of Tameka tells
PEOPLE. 'Right after it was over, they started to drift apart. [Usher]
just wasn't ready to settle down, at least not with her.' "
Although the sources deny that a "third party" is involved in their split, they say Usher still "lived like a bachelor," such as "not calling" if he was out late and just "taking [Tameka] for granted."
They don't spend a lot of time with each other. When they were
together, it was all about the boys."
I remember Tameka was pregnant with their first son when they married; maybe they were trying to do the right thing by their son and get married even though they were drifting apart?
It's admirable, but sometimes things just don't work out. Hopefully they'll be able to parent their children together effectively.

Usher Files For Divorce
Where there's smoke, there's fire, right?
Stories that Usher and his wife Tameka Raymond were going through a rocky patch have been swirling around for months now. And it looks like this is one rumor that's true.
In Touch can exclusively reveal that Usher and his wife, Tameka Foster,
are divorcing. “The Grammy winner has been living apart from his wife
for nearly a year after almost two years of marriage,” an insider
exclusively tells In Touch, adding, “Usher’s primary concern is for his children. He is a great father and just wants to do what is right for them.”
How sad :(
If Usher and Tameka want to do what's right for the children, hopefully this won't turn into a huge custody battle.

Usher's Wife Released From The Hospital
Well this is good news! After suffering a heart attack while under general anesthesia for a liposuction procedure and then being placed in an induced coma, Usher's wife, Tameka Raymond (nee Foster), is reportedly out of the hospital.
'She checked out yesterday,' a spokesman for the hospital, speaking as always on condition of anonymity, told E! News."
After being placed in the induced coma, Tameka was reportedly transferred to Sao Paulo's Sirio Libanes hospital for the rest of her recovery. It is unclear if Tameka is still in Brazil, but Usher was photographed Sao-Paulo Guarulhos Airport yesterday, checking in for a flight to the United States.

Usher's Wife Put Into Induced Coma After Plastic Surgery Complication
R&B singer Usher was forced to cancel his performance at Clive Davis' Grammy party (the same one Rihanna and Chris Brown were photographed at before their alleged altercation) in order to head to Brazil. Reportedly, his wife, Tameka Foster, suffered complications during a surgery procedure. Apparently, the complications were pretty severe.
Foster was rushed to the hospital's intensive care unit last Friday
after going into cardiac and respiratory arrest during a liposuction
procedure.The life-threatening condition reportedly came on as the R&B star's wife was being anesthetized.
According to G1, doctors at the hospital placed Raymond in an
induced coma for 24 hours to stabilize her. She is currently in
recovery.Dr. Gabriel E. Hunt Jr., a neurosurgeon from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, is said to be down in São Paulo to lead Foster's care."
It sounds extremely serious if Tameka needs a neurosurgeon. And I have to admit, I'm pretty shocked a doctor would even perform liposuction since Tameka just gave birth in December!
Hopefully Tameka will make a full recovery.
