Vin Diesel And Paul Walker Sign On For Fast And Furious 5

Well, I HOPE SO!
I saw Fast and Furious and really liked it! I always like those movies. Yes, it's basically the SAME movie over and over again with a slight plot twist - but it makes for a great Friday night out. If you are looking for action, you will never be disappointed.
Good news for fans. Both Vin Diesel and Paul Walker have signed on for the 5th installment of the Fast and the Furious franchise.
Unfortunately, Paul says the next movie will probably "close out the franchise". But all good things have to come to an end some day right?
So why make another? The film almost doubled estimates when it opened in the U.S. with a whopping $72.5 million haul last weekend.
Paul confessed the plan:
"This was supposed to be it… Without question, the way that thing’s opened up, Vin (Diesel, co-star) and I will be coming back. We’re making a fifth one and we’re going to Brazil. That’s it!
"And I don’t think the best one (film) has been done yet. I think we could easily come back and make the best one."
Woot! Woot!

The UK Premiere Of The Fast & The Furious

The entire cast of "The Fast & The Furious" (4) arrived to the UK premiere smiling and in good spirits last night in London.
Vin Diesel and Paul Walker both looked mouth wateringly good in classic suits as they posed for pictures and signed autographs on the red carpet before heading into the theater. Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster were both equally as lovely in dresses though they choose different looks. Any particular favorite fashion choice among the cast?
I have to say for the first time since the original came out I'm actually excited to see this one. You can't beat fast cars, Vin Diesel & Paul Walker... ;)
The press caught up with Paul and asked if he preferred fast cars over fast women. Yes, someone really asked him that.
"Do I prefer fast cars or
fast women? Well I've had a lot of both. But I'm a good boy now so I'd have
to say fast cars."
Paul also revealed he won't let his 10-year-old daughter Meadow Rain watch his new movie.
When asked if she had seen it, he said:
"No, maybe when she's a lot older!"
I should hope so! Paul would have a ton of explaining to do otherwise. "Daddy, why are you stealing those cars? I thought stealing was bad."

Vin Diesel To Return To XXX

Vin Diesel is the king of the sequel isn't he? Every movie he makes becomes a franchise - something that can live on for at least one or two more films. The Fast and the Furious, Pitch Black, XXX and I am sure Babylon A.D are the few I can think of right off the top of my head.
While Vin opted out of the 2005 sequel XXX: State of the Union, he is set to make the third. Diesel and original director Rob Cohen are in talks to reunite for XXX: The Return of Xander Cage.
The writing team responsible for Terminator 3 has been handed the job of creating a script, while filming is expected to begin early next year.
I have to confess, I really like Vin on the big screen. I'm not so sure about what sort of range he is capable of. But if you are looking for a good fighting / action movie, that man is always a good bet.

Vin Diesel Names His Daughter Hania Riley

Vin Diesel's choice of baby name has made it to press. Hania Riley is what he chose with the help of girlfriend Paloma Jimenez for their baby girl. What do you think about Hania?
Just for fun, post a comment on this post with the name of your children or the name you plan of naming your future children. You don't need to explain WHY you chose the names (unless you want to). I'm just curious to see how many people went with traditional versus non traditional choices.
Babylon A.D. Director Unhappy With Film Outcome

Wow... I really had high hopes for this film. But for a director to come out and say these things in the middle of the movie's press round... it's gotta be bad. Babylon A.D comes out this weekend... and director Mathieu Kassovitz is angry! He rips Fox Studios a new one in a recent interview with AMC.
"I'm very unhappy with the film. I never had a chance to do
one scene the way it was written or the way I wanted it to be. The
script wasn't respected. Bad producers, bad partners, it was a terrible
experience.""It's pure violence and stupidity. The movie is supposed
to teach us that the education of our children will mean the future of
our planet. All the action scenes had a goal: They were supposed to be
driven by either a metaphysical point of view or experience for the
characters... instead parts of the movie are like a bad episode of 24."
Why did he have to bring in 24? And hello! Is there such a thing as a bad episode of 24? :)
Anyway, Mathieu is really angry over the final editing of the film. Important scenes were removed that essentially ruined the experience.
"Fox was sending lawyers who were only looking at all the commas and
the dots," he says. "They made everything difficult from A to Z." The
last stroke, Kassovitz says, was when Fox interfered with the editing
of the film, paring it down to a confusing 93 minutes (original reports
were that 70 minutes were cut from the film; Kassovitz says the number
is closer to 15).
In the end, I think Mathieu is trying to wash his hands of the event. If it bombs, this statement proves that the movie wasn't really what the director envisioned to begin with.
"I don't see how people who went through all these amazing blockbusters like The Dark Knight and Iron Man this summer will take it. It's hard. Filmmaking is such a collaborative effort you can't look to one
person. I should have chosen a studio that
has guts. Fox was just trying to get a PG-13 movie. I'm
ready to go to war against them, but I can't because they don't give a
s--t."
Sadly enough, I'm still going to go see it. After all of this, the trailer had me at hello. Do stories like these sway you or get your more interested in the final product?

Vin Diesel, Carmen Electra, & Kim Kardashian Leaving TRL

Vin Disel, Carmen Electra, Kim Kardashian and her sisters, along with Vanessa Minnillo were all photographed leaving the TRL studios in New York yesterday. Vin is looking just as good as usual and Carmen at first glance totally reminded me of Fergie. Don't you think?
Speaking of Vanessa, she admitted on the show that Nick Lachey said 'I Love You' first in the relationship. Is that too personal to discuss? Or do you have to become an open book as a celeb?
"The L-word is not thrown around by men as easily as it is by women –
but I didn't say it first! He's very loving. We're very open and
vocal."

Vin Diesel is a Daddy!

People have exclusively confirmed that actor Vin Diesel and his girlfriend, Paloma Jimenez have welcomed a brand new baby girl April 2nd. This is the first child for both 40yr old Vin and Paloma. Congratulations to the happy family!
Vin is currently filming the third Fast & The Furious with the whole cast set to star in it as well. I know I shouldn't be as excited about the movie as I am, but what can I say I'm a sucker for fast cars and handsome men. :)
