This story is so sad.  Whitney Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina tried to stab her mom during an argument and then slit her wrists in a suicide attempt.  This was just a few days before her 15th birthday.  Part of Bobbi Kristina's problem is that she doesn't want to live with Whitney anymore.  She is now in a psychiatric ward in Atlanta, hopefully getting the help she needs.

I guess having a boyfriend whose occupation is a musician is the same as having one as a comic. Your relationship is... material. Whitney Houston had some personal details exposed in one of Ray J's newest songs, Boyfriend. And why does it sound like he is trying to start trouble with Bobbie Brown?

"Is that your wife, is that your shorty? Well I'm her boyfriend... I think the problem is you don't beat it right... Making love is cool, just pull her hair sometimes."

I mean... how rude is that?! I would be so embarrassed  if I was this iconic MEGA superstar and some 20 year old was talking about pulling my hair. Wonder what her daughter thinks about it? Guess Bobbie does too as he writes about the relationship in his book, The Truth, The Whole Truth And Nothing But....

"Their relationship doesn't bother me. She's open to see whoever she wants to see, just like I can see who I want to see. I know the age difference between her and the little guy is 20 years, but to each his own. The only concern I had was how our daughter felt about the age difference. As long as she's cool with it, it's fine by me."

Bobby Brown is suing Whitney Houston for custody of their daughter, Bobbi as well as spousal support. He is claiming he has been homeless on several occasions since their split. Part of him regaining custody would require Whitney to pay Bobby child support as well. I am not sure what kind of case he is bringing forward. Why would anyone give him custody of a child he cannot support mentally or financially? Bobbi is better off where she is safe.

Oh I wanna dance with somebody! I wanna feel the heat with somebody! Sorry - seeing Whitney Houston looking AMAZING brought me back to good times. Lots of Clive Davis' artists strutted their stuff on the red carpet for his Pre-Grammy party. Who owned it? Not Tyra Banks - that's for damn sure.

Whitney Houston is selling over 300 items from her personal collection to help her pay the massive amount of back taxes she owns on her Morris County mansion. Auction starts next week. So start saving your pennies now. There are no minimums bids on any of the items.

Among the items on the block are 13 of Houston's Dolce & Gabbana bustier bras adorned with animal prints and sequins; four velvet bodysuits with "WH" logos; six black stretch pants; several gold, black, white and red evening dresses; and 16 wardrobe cases.
In addition, Houston is selling off musical instruments and props used in her stage shows over the years, including pianos, keyboards, drums, synthesizers, speakers and amplifiers. Among the more unusual items are a slot machine, a leather whip and a chair described as "Whitney's throne." Some of her soon-to-be ex's possessions are also on the block, including "16 assorted Bobby Brown music awards." (source)

We all have been doing it already. It makes sense to compare the new versions of Britney Spears and Whitney Houston. They both are in the middle of a come back. They both dropped some dead weight recently. But USA Today took it one step further and did a full blown analysis.

Husband troubles

Britney: She took a lot of heat for hooking up in 2004 with Federline, an unknown backup dancer and aspiring rapper from Fresno whose ex-girlfriend was pregnant with his second child. After two years of marriage, Spears filed for divorce last week. Federline, 28, filed legal documents seeking custody of their two sons.

Whitney: Not long after she and R&B singer Brown, 37, were married in 1992, his arrest file started growing with charges in Florida of driving under the influence and, later, various probation violations. In 2004, a judge ruled there was enough evidence for Brown to stand trial on battery charges stemming from a fight with Houston; charges were dropped.

Post-split posture

Britney: Just as divorce papers were being filed last week, Spears surfaced publicly around New York City with a hot new bod, a sleek blond bob and a sexy new look.

Whitney: Her appearance at the Carousel of Hope Ball Oct. 28, just two weeks after filing divorce papers, had celeb watchers talking. The singer's blond style and figure-hugging Armani gown was reminiscent of her R&B glory days, before Houston became tabloid fodder and appeared on reality TV.

So I've mentioned before that I am a huge Wendy Williams fan. Well, I finally got around to watching her VH1 special (WHICH I LOVE) and something she said BLEW my mind last night. I was too busy getting caught up in the Britney divorce to even think about writing about it. After a few (and I mean few) hours of sleep I wanted to get your thoughts on what I heard.
A listener wrote in and said her boyfriend was a bodyguard in Whitney Houston's camp. She said to NOT believe the hype about their so-called break up. It was a well contrived plan to get people rooting for Whitney again JUST IN TIME for her new album to drop with Clive Davis. She went on to say that the couple has been through more ups and downs than any other marriage in Hollywood. What could he have possibly done to make her want to end it now? The couple was told to lay low until Whitney owned the top of the charts again. In fact, all the stories going around saying that Bobby Brown has moved on are part of their plan. Whitney and Bobby are the same old same old....
What do you think about that? Does it have anything to do with Britney and Kevin? Why are these highly publicized splits with loser husbands occurring right when good publicity is needed?

And so it has begun... Clive Davis escorted Whitney Houston to the Carousel of Hope Ball and she lit up the room. We all knew that once she got rid of her dead weight, the old Whitney would emerge. Clive boasted that the two of them are going to make a "killer album" and you know what? I believe them!!  I cannot wait!
When asked how she felt, Whitney said: "I feel great". I am just so happy for her.

The papers are filed with Orange County Superior Court which officially begins the legal separation between Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. I cannot believe that she is actually going through with it. For some strange reason, I thought she would let it all go and end up taking that loser Bobby back like she has done so many times in the past. But this time is for real. Whitney has asked for custody of their 13 year old giving Bobby visitation rights. No further information is available at this time.
