Stories about Whitney Houston

Inside The Houston - Brown Split

Not surprisingly, but communication, cheating and drugs are all causes that are being attributed to the end of Whitney Houston's marriage to Bobby Brown. Here are the details:

  • A relative of Brown's says the problems started last fall. "The relationship just spiraled out of control," the relative tells PEOPLE in its new issue. "They fought like cats and dogs. They would fight about what to eat for dinner, about who wasn't cleaning out the dishwasher. Stupid things. But they were always yelling."

  • Things took a more serious turn in March when Brown's sister Tina told The National Enquirer that Houston was a drug addict.

  • Another source says the "final straws" involved recent tabloid reports that Brown, the target of persistent cheating rumors, has been carrying on a longtime affair with Karrine Steffans, who claimed Brown as one of her conquests in her 2005 kiss-and-tell book Confessions of a Video Vixen.(source)

Whitney Houston Is Getting Ready For Her Come Back

Clive Davis has announced that Whitney Houston is actively getting her voice ready for an unconfirmed come back performance during the Grammy party next year. Clive also admitted that the two are working together on a new album. I am so happy for Whitney. She really was one of the greatest voices of our time.
"We are reviewing material right now," Davis told us. And while Houston is not ready to sing solo at the Carousel Ball of Hope in October - she "would accompany me," Davis said - she could make her big comeback at his famed Grammy party next year. "It is too early to say if Whitney is going to perform, but I would hope she would be in the running," Davis added. "She looks radiant and is clearly together." As for rumors that Houston has lost some of her vocal range, Davis said, "She is talking enthusiastically and is articulate. We are going to make a great album. (source)

The Blind Leading The Blind: How Courtney Love Helped Save Whitney Houston

I could almost bet my first born that the last person Whitney Houston thought she would lean on for support was Courtney Love. But that is what WENN is reporting. It seems that Clive Davis called in Courtney to help rescue Whitney from the downward spiral she called her life. I guess it worked because Whitney is finally sober enough to realize it is time to leave Bobby Brown. The best part about the story is the two gals have remained friends. I wonder if there is a duet in their future?
Music mogul Clive Davis was so upset by pal Whitney Houston's decline into a drug hell, he called on rocker Courtney Love to mentor the troubled soul star, according to US reports. Love, who has gone through her own drug abuse problems and now insists she's clean and sober, jumped at the chance to help another struggling star and agreed to stage an intervention with Davis. According to the new issue of America's Us Weekly magazine, Love and Houston have become unlikely friends and former Hole star Love has turned Houston onto her own addiction counselor Warren Boyd. The publication claims Davis, who discovered Houston, is paying for her expensive counseling sessions. (source)

Whitney Houston Could Have A Brain Tumor

Tina Brown, Whitney Houston's sister in law, has come to the conclusion that Whitney has a brain tumor. What ELSE could explain her erratic behavior over the last several years? There is NO OTHER explanation that comes to mind. Is there????
Brown says, "The talk in my family is she does (have a tumour). (A family member) said the other day, 'It's getting worse. Let's take her to the hospital.' And (another family member) said no because of the media.
"She's (Houston) going into her states and everything. All the symptoms are there. "They called from California stating that she had a tumour. Why are they keeping this a secret, I don't know."
