Sharon Stone Thinks Earthquake In China Was Karma

Sharon Stone always keeps it interesting...you never know what's going to come out of her mouth! When she was at Cannes, a reporter asked her what she thought about the earthquake in China. Her response was that it was karma coming back around. Ummm....WHAT?!?
"Well you know it was very interesting because at first I thought I'm not happy with the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans because I don't think anyone should be unkind to anyone else. And so I have very concerned about how to think and what to do about that because I don't like that."
She goes on to talk about her buddy the Dalai Lama,
And then I’ve been, you know, I've been concerned about, oh, who should we deal with the Olympics because they're not being nice to the Dalai Lama, who’s a good friend of mine. And then all this earthquake and all this stuff happened and I thought, 'Is that Karma, when you’re not nice and the bad things happen to you?'"

Sharon Stone isn't quite and observer, sun rises for "the good" and "the bad" guys... bad things happens to everyone, as good things too... so you can't control what is going to happen to you but the important thing is how are you going to overcome the difficult... and how much are you going to appreciate the goodness

She is awful! It stinks when celebrities open their mouths like this because it reflects on all Americans so badly. Obviously the majority of Americans are in agreement that the earthquake in China was a tragedy. It is in no way karma and to insinuate that it was "deserved" in any way is equivalent to saying to U.S. "deserved" Hurricane Katrina or 9/11. Give me a break...

*Although Buddhism is considered a religion, it's supposed to be a philosophy only..I just wanted to say that not all Buddhists are blinded by words from a man. The Buddha's whole message was that we figure things out for ourselves, not adopt blind faith in one man.
oh don't get me wrong, i'm just saying that this sort of things happen when people take religion (philosophy) if you will to their own whims and twist it around to mean something totally obtuse. i don't think any religion in its own right ever intended for any deplorable behaviour to come out of its teachings.
I'm hoping that she was misquoted. That's a ridiculously stupid thing to say, like if an Earthquake hit San Francisco, it would be because George Bush is an idiot and it's karma. Or because same-sex marriage has been legalized. What? No. I kind of don't believe that she said that. She must have been misquoted. It's too stupid.

I agree with her. The olympics should be boycotted, not Sharon Stone..It's been FIFTY YEARS since they've occupied Tibet..all the Tibetans want is Autonomy, which was supposedly granted, but if you go there, the culture is all Chinese, not Tibetan..
Have you ever studied the history of China and Tibet? How many Tibetans do you know in person? How did you know all the Tibetans want is autonomy? My friend in Beijing is Chinese. He met a Tibetan woman and they fell in love. They're going to have a baby boy. His Tibetan wife wants peace and a prosperous China. BTW, Tibet became a part of China long before Chinese Communisty came into power. You are just blinded by the one-sided propaganda of the western world. And before you accusing China, please think about what the Europeans did to the native people in North America, South America, Australia? Do you think those people want Autonomy too?

This is a typical chinese response. They will kill people by gunning them down with tanks on the street, arrest and detain innocent people for years without a chance for hearing and annex soveriegn land and yet bully you when you say they did something wrong. History is that 50 years ago chinese military invaded Tibet and annexed it, killed thousands of peaceful buddhist monks, threaten Taiwan everyday and all those that wish to trade with Taiwan. Now China is building missiles to shoot down satellites - if there was anything evil, the muslims and the chinese - they are it!!! BTW - I know a few tibetans, they want the chinese out of their country ASAP.
