Queen Latifah Launches Fragrance Line

Following in the footsteps of Lindsay Lohan, Gwen Stefani, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Sarah Jessica Parker and Britney Spears (to name a few) Queen Latifah has announced she is launching her own perfume line.
"For me, beauty really does start on the inside. It’s like a state of mind - a state of love, if you will. So, I see fragrance as just a natural expression of this state of love: Scent expresses a woman’s confidence and sensuality. It’s how she embraces her body, her mind and her strength."
The scent is due to launch later next year. Here is the Queen enjoying some beach fun with her friend over the weekend. So jealous!

I love Queen Latifah, I think she is a good role model for women and learning to embrace our bodies and let beauty come from within.
To the poster who mentioned her Jenny Craig campaign: Yes, she is a celebrity endorser for JC which means she is on the plan but she and Valerie Burtonelli (sp?) insisted that they shift their views to be more about getting to a size that is right for you rather than focusing on pounds. Notice they no longer say how much they weigh? The Queen will never be a size 2 and she is completely fine with that, it is about how you feel not how you look.
She is big but she is also beautiful. She appears to have such a good body image. Who cares if she she has a "potroast" butt, she is happy!
That is great if she is 'comfortable' with her body, but i hate these celebrities who get PAID to tell us we should be "healthy nad exercise". And these fat tards are out eating every night and looking like big, fat pigs like queen fat, valarie fat head, and the fattest pig kirsty ally. Not another one...please...department stores fragrance counters are full of celebrity cheap arse crap...The one and only one fragrance which is rather complex by fragrance standards is Covet by SJP. The rest were concocted during a couple of hrs session stars had. Somebody else developed it they sniffed and say ''Yes''...This has became a no brainer way to get money out of silly people while on TV we hear that our stars are ''savvy'' business men and women'' What a crock of bull...Anohter thing, when you are fat, you cannot be beautiful. Period. Lard is hanging on your back, butt, arms and you call it beautiful??? Is it a self fulfilling prophecy? I say that Latifah could lose 20-30lb and then she would look good. Not a lot of people are beautiful. Ok? Many people are pretty or good looking. But word beautiful is just thrown around nowdays...like diva....irritating
When you're fat, you cannot be beautiful? Good Lord, that is the dumbest thing I have ever read in my life. For your information, Elina, there are a LOT of truly beautiful, sexy women who happen to be larger than the size zero losers pushed upon us every day.

super skinny is the same as fat...one has to be fit. Fit is not when you have love handles, if we are talking about physical beauty. Unfortunatelly when you are skinny you have more choices of clothing, though you still do not look attractive, but your butt, arms, thighs do not giggle. So there is a slight advantage. Beautiful has a complex meaning and part of it reflects your inner personality. But Latifah is not beautiful. She might be a good overweight person ...but she is not beautiful...she is in a company of many many many people...unless you are into self fulfilling prophecies...if everyone would be beutiful there would be no use for the words not pretty, ugly, chunky...alas, last time I checked they were still used. and anonimous passerby, beautiful body is not a size zero OK ???. It is not the size, it is your proportions that matter. It is not even about how perfect your features are..they can be imperfect. It is all about proportions. Now go and study a science of physiognomy or attend drawing class so that you can learn what beauty is. It is not in Latifahs giggly thighs, sorry. If all fails, some say the beauty is in the eye of a beholder, well for me she is not beautiful, but you can place her image on a wall and pray to it 4 times a day. Your opinion is no more important than mine, though mine actually makes sense and yours does not.
